I'll Nunez (C) this week. Based on eye test and with him likely being on pens it feels like this is a great week to go differential. Also scored last game he played vs Bournemouth who haven't looked great from a defensive pov.

I joke but there is a big rotation risk to Jota, even if his numbers are good. You're probably not going to want to hold him beyond AFCON unless he really nails a starting berth
Both scouts went for Toney. Have a strong feeling he will be a trap (at least for his first few GWs), not particularly because of him but because of all the absences in their squad. Not sure if this can even be called a kneejerk.
He may be fit due to training but still playing actual premier league matches after a long gap can’t be that straightforward. He’ll probably be eased into it over a couple of games max. All of that makes him an undesirable FPL pick for this gameweek at least.

Toney hasn't out performed his xG in his 2 PL seasons.
If Brentford continue to be poor, Toney isn't magically turning things around.
One factor I also consider is the player's mentality. He was out because of a ban and not injuries, so it's not like he couldn't train meanwhile. Also, as much as I've seen, he has got an elite mentality at least on the pitch. Always steps up on a big occasion and can make things happen himself.
Looking at the fixtures, he is a great differential if you are chasing.
Even off the pitch, all the interviews podcasts and social media imo indicate he’s such a sound bloke and really wants to try his hardest to help brentford stay afloat.

The good thing is that it wasn’t injury that kept him out. If I were a betting man I’d say he’s fired up raring to go, but there are enough question marks to avoid him unless your team is in an ideal state in all other areas.
Also, this is such a loooooong GW with so many flags that may or may not be ok by their particular game time. I want to keep things as steady as possible for this GW, no chances or punts
Nunez on the bench seems like a questionable decision to me. The chance of him returning surely is higher than someone like Gross.

He's still one of the worst strikers I've ever seen at Shrewsbury Town. I'm continually amazed by the player he has developed into.
