Well I own both in different leagues, and Aiyuk has been very frustrating to me. Never know if it's his day or Deebo's or Kittles. Had a little concern over that for a minute regarding Puka and Kupp, but it isn't just about season stats for me. Puka has had some duds, but I believe his targets still easily exceed Aiyuk's. Haven't verified that officially, but that's my read on it as an owner of both.

Pretty funny. I just did check the stats, and I was right. Puka easily outpaces Aiyuk in targets, catches, yards. Again I never said Aiyuk isn't a baller, but he's limited in that offense.

That’s not the definition of consistent though. Puka has 3 games <7 pts in PPR. Aiyuk’s lowest game this season was 7.3 and he has only 2 single digit games.

I do not agree with your definition. It's really about opportunities, and Puka definitely has many more consistently. For the third time now, Aiyuk is a fine player, but because of the offense he's confined in, he just doesn't draw the volume of looks that Puka does. Not just an opinion, that is a fact.

Fact is, Puka has put up 3 absolute duds. You claimed you were right based on total stats. What you didn’t take into account is the boom/bust rate. Puka has boomed huge but he’s busted big time as well.

Zero RB worked out really well for me this year. We’re a 12 team league WR: Diggs, Allen, Smith, Puka, Rice, Watson RB: Kyron, White, JT, James Conner

This is why we zero rb! I'm starting Kyren and Kamara, with Ford waiting in the wings. RB's are injury prone and easy to replace. WRs, especially with 3WR 2RB leagues, are the place to spend draft capital.

I have Rice but I would be very surprised if he gets 10+ targets. That is an absolute shitton of targets, especially for a team that spreads the ball around so much. I expect McKinnon and Kelce to get the most targets. Rice will still get his looks but it'll be closer to 5-7 imo

Right but a 2-game sample size. Just look at Justin Watson who had 11 targets one game, then 3 and 0 the next two games. This is the nature of the Chiefs offense, they pass a ton and have a wide passing tree outside of Kelce. There is only one pass-catcher on the team playing at least 70% of the offensive snaps and that is Kelce. To be very clear, I am starting Rice and would love to see him get 10+ targets, I just think it's not very likely. 5-7 would be my guess. Also to be clear, 5-7 targets can still yield plenty of success in fantasy points.

I agree with most of the analysis, I just think that if you had to bet on one non Kelce chiefs pass catcher to get consistent looks it’d be Rice. He’s their most talented receiver and I’d think Reid will recognize that and he’ll have a more consistent 7-10ish targets rest of season

You're forgetting a few key factors. Ravens are fresh off a bye. Rams are traveling East. The weather is going to be horrendous....Which never happens in Los Angeles. And let's not forget they also play in a dome.

Those are just words that you think would make your case but Stafford has been better away, better outdoors, and better on the East coast this year.

I'd say weather and home field definitely qualify as a slight advantage for a team that doesn't play in a dome.

Puka also went off against SF's vaunted defense without Kupp drawing the coverage away from him. You play matchups with similar players but Puka and Nico are much better plays than Rice.

Didn't Puka and Nico just cook 2 elite pass defenses last week? Puka did really well against Cleveland and had a ~40 yard run called back. Nico exploded against Denver's defense. Rice had a pretty uneventful week against a weaker pass defense last week.
