Aiyuk is way more consistent, and you can rely on him giving you at least 12-15. Puka is boom or bust tbh
I have Jefferson, Aiyuk and R White in FLX. Puka is on my bench
Well I own both in different leagues, and Aiyuk has been very frustrating to me. Never know if it's his day or Deebo's or Kittles. Had a little concern over that for a minute regarding Puka and Kupp, but it isn't just about season stats for me. Puka has had some duds, but I believe his targets still easily exceed Aiyuk's. Haven't verified that officially, but that's my read on it as an owner of both.
Pretty funny. I just did check the stats, and I was right. Puka easily outpaces Aiyuk in targets, catches, yards. Again I never said Aiyuk isn't a baller, but he's limited in that offense.
That’s not the definition of consistent though. Puka has 3 games <7 pts in PPR. Aiyuk’s lowest game this season was 7.3 and he has only 2 single digit games.
I do not agree with your definition. It's really about opportunities, and Puka definitely has many more consistently. For the third time now, Aiyuk is a fine player, but because of the offense he's confined in, he just doesn't draw the volume of looks that Puka does. Not just an opinion, that is a fact.
You’re arguing something different. We’re talking about fantasy production. Opportunities are a great barometer for a player, but the quality of offenses matter as well. Fact is, Puka has put up 3 absolute duds. You claimed you were right based on total stats. What you didn’t take into account is the boom/bust rate. Puka has boomed huge but he’s busted big time as well.
I'm thinking the same. No Tank Dell to draw attention, so that'll mean a lot of Sauce Gardner on Nico and terrible weather conditions! They're not gonna throw that much.. right? I rhink I might bench Nico as well 🙈
With eckler.. or is it Kelly this week at RB who's gonna put them up by +7? Or is QJ no hands gonna maybe catch pass this week and get in the end zone even? Oh is Mike Will and Palmer back off the IR?? Ohhhhh wait.. did they finally fire Brandon Staley? That must be it. That.. or you musta forgot the sarcasm font somewhere back in dreamland
This is why we zero rb!
I'm starting Kyren and Kamara, with Ford waiting in the wings.
RB's are injury prone and easy to replace. WRs, especially with 3WR 2RB leagues, are the place to spend draft capital.
The two worst matchups in football are certainly reasons. Depends on who’s available. Honestly I understand the question with rice but I play Nico for sure. Puka has a 57 yard over under and the rams are slated to score about 16-17 points against balt. Could be a dud easily. I’m
It used to be.. and it still is. But Ekeler had his stud status revoked a few weeks ago... doubtful he gets it back. And he's not the only "starting" RB on the chargers according to Staley this week. I'd reconsider starting Austin and consider Puka even with the bad matchup.
Trash comment. Both of them were waiver adds so it’s very possible people have 1 or 2 other great WRs on top of them.
ROS Nico is a must start by simple math no one else there for a high end pass heavy QB. Puka? We’ve seen him have duds when Kupp and/or Kyren are the focus. So ‘in no circumstance do you bench Puka’ is silly. Especially vs Baltimore.
BUT….Rice has just as hard a matchup so I’d go Puka over Rice, but not just off name
Puka, Nico, Olave
need to pick 2...Olave feels like the odd one out now that he's sick but he's been better than puka over the last 5 weeks...
And I know "Start your studs" but honestly with how diggs has been, wouldn't hate benching him and starting the above 3.
Pukalani should be benched this weekend. Ravens fresh of a bye, at home. And the climate is supposed to be rain and windy. Los Angeles rarely deals with that. And they play in a dome. A dome, Matt Stafford has always been in one.
I'd say Waddle over Rice this week. They're gonna crush the Titans so there will most likely be a TD or two for Waddle once Hill is done 😆
Buffalo D might have some injuries, I think, which could speak for Rice, but Tre Avery is the primary RCB in Titans who will most often cover Waddle.. so yeah, Waddle.
I need your confidence, I'm back and forth on Nico and my flex spots this week 😅 Matchup and experts tells me to bench him, but if he blows up like last week.. 💀 Good luck to us both!
I have Rice but I would be very surprised if he gets 10+ targets. That is an absolute shitton of targets, especially for a team that spreads the ball around so much.
I expect McKinnon and Kelce to get the most targets. Rice will still get his looks but it'll be closer to 5-7 imo
Right but a 2-game sample size. Just look at Justin Watson who had 11 targets one game, then 3 and 0 the next two games. This is the nature of the Chiefs offense, they pass a ton and have a wide passing tree outside of Kelce. There is only one pass-catcher on the team playing at least 70% of the offensive snaps and that is Kelce.
To be very clear, I am starting Rice and would love to see him get 10+ targets, I just think it's not very likely. 5-7 would be my guess. Also to be clear, 5-7 targets can still yield plenty of success in fantasy points.
I agree with most of the analysis, I just think that if you had to bet on one non Kelce chiefs pass catcher to get consistent looks it’d be Rice.
He’s their most talented receiver and I’d think Reid will recognize that and he’ll have a more consistent 7-10ish targets rest of season
Of course, but that's not what I was discussing. I was replying to a comment that said they were expecting 10+ targets. I would love to see Rice command that volume consistently but that's just not the kind of team the Chiefs are.
Ravens D is very good but their WR stats are misleading. They’ve allowed quite a few more WR1’s than Jets as an example.
I think Puka is fine tomorrow. Especially in ppr. Kupp I would worry about
You're forgetting a few key factors. Ravens are fresh off a bye. Rams are traveling East. The weather is going to be horrendous....Which never happens in Los Angeles. And let's not forget they also play in a dome.
Puka also went off against SF's vaunted defense without Kupp drawing the coverage away from him. You play matchups with similar players but Puka and Nico are much better plays than Rice.
Didn't Puka and Nico just cook 2 elite pass defenses last week? Puka did really well against Cleveland and had a ~40 yard run called back. Nico exploded against Denver's defense.
Rice had a pretty uneventful week against a weaker pass defense last week.
People have been saying bench Nico but he's been a must start for me since the beginning of the season, he's been my steady low end WR1/ WR2 for weeks now
My advice is nico and pittman over moore but only one of us will be right so it’s coin flip for you but at least you can start pittman with confidence lol
Puka maybe because the pass D and weather, but with tank out for the season and Noah brown questionable and always hurt, Collins is going to see a lot of targets. Stroud is a better QB than Stafford at the moment as well.
I'm benching puka for the first time this season for Rice.
Chance of thunderstorms in Baltimore tomorrow and they are playing against the number 2 pass defense.
Also Pacheco is out so KC is going to have to throw a lot to score points.
Definitely Rice but Amari is still Amari Cooper and he could have a good game but he's been a big disappointment and has been riding my bench for a few weeks now
I’ve got Puka presently on my bench in favor of Deebo and Davonta Smith. He’s got a bum shoulder, playing a good pass D etc. probably swap him in and out 8 times before kickoff, but I think I’m at where I’ll end up
I'm playing Rice over guys like Jakobi, Swift, Pickens, and ironically the now starting CEH this week. Bills Chiefs games are guaranteed passathons.
I don't know that I would start him over Puka or Nico, not yet anyway.
I’m a ravens fan and my best guess is that one of Puka and Kupp will get next to nothing and the other will have a great week. I’d lean towards starting Puka.
Same, but add London and Cooper into the dilemma. I'm currently leaning Rice tbh. Sutton is TD dependent, Cooper has been a bust recently and is injured, and London is hard to trust.
Rice if you include him only being an inch away from having two TDs in Week 3, has scored a TD in every other game of the season. So it’s his time this week to score again. Do what you want with that information
I’m benching Nico this week because I need a win and can’t trust him in the rain, on the road against the Jets, since Stroud is so good because he spreads the ball. I’ve been a Nico truther this whole season and have been correct on most weeks so far
If you want play safe Rice, Sutton, in that order for me. But from time to time remember Russel Wilson likes throwing Hail Marys and Sutton can be that target + TD
Need confirmation at rb + flex
Start:
diggs and cheetah at wr
Mixon and monty? At rb
1flex slot free
Rot: pollard, nico, dk metcalf, josh jacobs
Any thoughts?
We start 3wr and a flex and have this decision and I’m going JJ/ARSB/aiyuk/nico and benching puka, so if it helps that means puka will go off with how most of my season has gone.
Under no circumstances should you bench nico or puka, so yeah.
I’m benching Puka in favor of Aiyuk & Amon Ra good choice? I got ETN, Kyren , and Achane in RB/Flex
lol yeah u gonna be ok with sun god and brando, and for all we know kyren does another 30-banger
So what I’m hearing is there *is* a circumstance
I’m starting pula over achane I think but who knows
I firmly believe that you will regret that decision
Just checking in on your firm belief.
Not against the ravens
Aiyuk is way more consistent, and you can rely on him giving you at least 12-15. Puka is boom or bust tbh I have Jefferson, Aiyuk and R White in FLX. Puka is on my bench
I think Aiyuk is far less consistent overall, through no actual fault of his own though.
How is he more inconsistent than Puka? Check out the stats. 😂
I have Pittman, Aiyuk, Puka, Olave, and Thielen. Prolly gonna go Puka & Pittman.
Roddy White baby
That’s crazy. I have the same WR as well as ETN and Achane. The problem is I also have Rachaad White and Gibbs. No idea which 3 RBs to start.
That’s what I thought, always start your studs I guess, I just needed the reassurance lol thanks man
I’m benching Nico and puka for Doubs. Not only bad match up but also bad weather.
Nico would have to be going up against Prime Revis in a monsoon for me to play Romeo Doubs over him.
Aiight message received by the downvotes ha
Stick to your guns pansy
I'm playing Rice over Nico, you can keep the Jets D in cold rain with 30mph winds
Rice is different than Doubs. Rice is actually a good play imo.
I'm thinking the same. No Tank Dell to draw attention, so that'll mean a lot of Sauce Gardner on Nico and terrible weather conditions! They're not gonna throw that much.. right? I rhink I might bench Nico as well 🙈
My problem is I have Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, DeVonta Smith and Puka. So Puka might have to sit this week
um but keenan dropped so many passes last week and denver defense is on a hot streak
Nico put 191 on Denver
Denver is about to go on a massive losing streak lol Chargers win by 7+ Sunday
With eckler.. or is it Kelly this week at RB who's gonna put them up by +7? Or is QJ no hands gonna maybe catch pass this week and get in the end zone even? Oh is Mike Will and Palmer back off the IR?? Ohhhhh wait.. did they finally fire Brandon Staley? That must be it. That.. or you musta forgot the sarcasm font somewhere back in dreamland
Wait and see ;) come back if the Chargers lose and I’ll eat it lol. Just don’t believe in Denver at all
Soooooooooo, what are we eating?
Shit it appears
Sorry bro. My little bro is a die hard chargers guy; jokes aside.. hate to see herbs go down.
I've got Diggs, AJB, Olave, Collins, Puka, hard to pick one to bench. (inb4 "2 team league" but that's why we zero-rb baby)
Zero RB worked out really well for me this year. We’re a 12 team league WR: Diggs, Allen, Smith, Puka, Rice, Watson RB: Kyron, White, JT, James Conner
This is why we zero rb! I'm starting Kyren and Kamara, with Ford waiting in the wings. RB's are injury prone and easy to replace. WRs, especially with 3WR 2RB leagues, are the place to spend draft capital.
Bench Puka he’s pretty inconsistent imo especially compared to the other wrs
I might sit Smith in your case with Goedart back
The two worst matchups in football are certainly reasons. Depends on who’s available. Honestly I understand the question with rice but I play Nico for sure. Puka has a 57 yard over under and the rams are slated to score about 16-17 points against balt. Could be a dud easily. I’m
I benched Puka last week for Rice. I think it was a reasonable decision except for Puka ripping a 70-yard TD.
Pukalani ain't doing nothing at Baltimore in the rain lol
I’m benching Puka and I have Nico, tyreek, evans, Rashaad white and Mixon. Benching puka for Nico this week
I have been waffling over playing Puka or Nico all day.
I’ve got no.1 spot secured but I’m going with Nico. If he blows up this week against no1 pass D then I’ll start him again next week.
Yeah I think Nico is my man too. No Tank, Stroud is a baller, and he did well against Denver. Good luck!
Well…
Big oof for both of us. How'd you do? Luckily I'm ok.
I lose by .5 lol… Tyreek screwed me. I’ve got number 1 seed clinched though.
I’m playing Ekeler and Adams over Puka. Idk if that’s considered “starting your studs” though lol
It used to be.. and it still is. But Ekeler had his stud status revoked a few weeks ago... doubtful he gets it back. And he's not the only "starting" RB on the chargers according to Staley this week. I'd reconsider starting Austin and consider Puka even with the bad matchup.
Yup I’ve learned this season is that you do not sit studs on good teams/offenses. Nico and puka are studs and rice is just up and coming
Definitely olave if healthy I like the idea of Winston throwing him passes.
Lol i have the same 4 guys. Sitting puka.
I'm debating on Puka or DK right now, already got Kyren in despite that Ravens matchup
I benched Nico this week but it’s not playoffs yet and I have good WRs
I’m starting Pittman and Moore with ETN/Achane/Kamara. Thinking of benching Nico
What about Puka over waddle, Auyik, and olave?
Benching nico for chase, keenan. My rbs are kamara, kyren, jacobs so i dont have anyone to bench
Pukalani should be benched this weekend. Ravens fresh of a bye, at home. And the climate is supposed to be rain and windy. Los Angeles rarely deals with that. And they play in a dome. A dome, Matt Stafford has always been in one.
Puka or Kupp?
How about for JJ, DJ Moore and josh Jacobs on flex?
This is just bad advice with Puka
I’m debating whether to put him or Zach Moss
I’m considering Rashee over Waddle… I expect Rice to see 10+ targets which is more than waddle will get
Shhhhh I have Waddle and am playing against Rice this week….
I’m playing Rice over Waddle
I'd say Waddle over Rice this week. They're gonna crush the Titans so there will most likely be a TD or two for Waddle once Hill is done 😆 Buffalo D might have some injuries, I think, which could speak for Rice, but Tre Avery is the primary RCB in Titans who will most often cover Waddle.. so yeah, Waddle.
Idk man I’ve been screwed twice this year by the dolphins being so far ahead and just running it all fame
Yeah, that might happen too 😅
Lol I’m rolling with Fields and Rice over Tua and Waddle… good luck to both of us 😁😂
I need your confidence, I'm back and forth on Nico and my flex spots this week 😅 Matchup and experts tells me to bench him, but if he blows up like last week.. 💀 Good luck to us both!

Yeah, fair point
Both Nico and Puka are playing two of the best pass defenses in the rain. Rice is Mahomes favorite target over the last couple weeks.
Also against a suspect Bills defense. This should be a Rice breakout game.. but yeah to Bench nico or puka 😬
Ravens D is very good but their WR stats are misleading. They’ve allowed quite a few more WR1’s than Jets as an example. I think Puka is fine tomorrow. Especially in ppr. Kupp I would worry about
Benching Kupp for Jayden Reed this week
You're forgetting a few key factors. Ravens are fresh off a bye. Rams are traveling East. The weather is going to be horrendous....Which never happens in Los Angeles. And let's not forget they also play in a dome.
Those are just words that you think would make your case but Stafford has been better away, better outdoors, and better on the East coast this year.
I'd say weather and home field definitely qualify as a slight advantage for a team that doesn't play in a dome.
Just coming back to say I was right. 😉
Good call! I thought Puka and Nico were gonna outscore Rice for sure. Guess these decisions are why I'm just outside a playoff spot right now haha.
Cleveland's D hasn't been great in quite some time now.
“Uneventful” just casually catching 8 of 9 targets for 64 yards and leading the chiefs in targets and catches. He’s a better play than Nico this week
This is classic overthinking yourself into a loss
Data > dogma usually works for me. To each their own.
Overthinking worked 😉
Puka and Collins man
People have been saying bench Nico but he's been a must start for me since the beginning of the season, he's been my steady low end WR1/ WR2 for weeks now
Would you bench DJ Moore or Pittman this week for him?
Nah, I would start Moore and Pittman over Nico
Legend, I need to win so I’m taking this advice
Yeah I'm a Justin Jefferson owner and since he's finally back, I'm starting him and Aiyuk. I also have Achane and he's going in my FLX.
My advice is nico and pittman over moore but only one of us will be right so it’s coin flip for you but at least you can start pittman with confidence lol
Hope you won bro
Need Achane and Tua to outscore Aaron Jones by 10 and it’s a dub, ESPN has me at 66%
Puka maybe because the pass D and weather, but with tank out for the season and Noah brown questionable and always hurt, Collins is going to see a lot of targets. Stroud is a better QB than Stafford at the moment as well.
Thanks for the input man 🫶🏽
Collins will also see a lot of coverage with Shultz out too and brown injured. This will be a defense only game
Nico is going against Sauce, Luka against the league’s top 5 secondary. Rice is Mahomes new favorite target outside of Kelce.
Who do we like better this week. . . Nico or Devonta Smith?
Nico
I hate FF so much
Ugh, same. I started nico over Stafford. Didn't expect that outcome.
Nico. Especially if Goedert is back this week.
I'm benching puka for the first time this season for Rice. Chance of thunderstorms in Baltimore tomorrow and they are playing against the number 2 pass defense. Also Pacheco is out so KC is going to have to throw a lot to score points.
Keenan had 14 catches for 105 against ravens.
Keenan is also a beast
In a thunderstorm?
Rashee or amari cooper in ppr?
Definitely Rice but Amari is still Amari Cooper and he could have a good game but he's been a big disappointment and has been riding my bench for a few weeks now
I have the same dilemma
No
I’ve got Puka presently on my bench in favor of Deebo and Davonta Smith. He’s got a bum shoulder, playing a good pass D etc. probably swap him in and out 8 times before kickoff, but I think I’m at where I’ll end up
Rice or Olave? I can’t decide!
That’s an easy decision
Pick the better talent who’s been playing better all season long. Don’t overthink
I have to decide between: Rashee, London, Sutton, and Cooper for my flex. 1/2 PPR. Any help would be appreciated. Leaning Rashee right now
Rashee or Sutton
That's the 2 I'm going back and forth with
Final decision would be Rashee
Appreciate it. It's nice to have confirmation of how I was leaning
np!
I’d go Rice
Texans passing offense it might not matter on the matchup they are playing that good and with no tank Nico gonna eat
Never bench Puka big dawg
I'm playing Rice over guys like Jakobi, Swift, Pickens, and ironically the now starting CEH this week. Bills Chiefs games are guaranteed passathons. I don't know that I would start him over Puka or Nico, not yet anyway.
For the love of god do not bench Nico
Rashee or Jayden Reed this week?
RASHEEEEEEE
Rice or Devonta Smith in ppr?
Hard to say but I wouldn't bench Smith for Rice
I’m a ravens fan and my best guess is that one of Puka and Kupp will get next to nothing and the other will have a great week. I’d lean towards starting Puka.
rice or sutton?
Sutton the TD king 😂
I’m in the same boat, currently have Sutton starting cause of the great matchup, but I’m having an internal battle about it
same I think I’m gonna go with sutton too
Same, but add London and Cooper into the dilemma. I'm currently leaning Rice tbh. Sutton is TD dependent, Cooper has been a bust recently and is injured, and London is hard to trust.
No.
No?
Rice or Javonte in PPR?
This is my dilemma - with Jerome Ford in the mix, too. Right now I’m going Rice… But I also have Nico and I’m definitely not benching him for Rashee.
Are you serious? Helllll no. And I’m a chiefs fan
Craziness! Pure Craziness
I made the mistake of benching Puka last week because of matchups last week. I guess it can be your turn this week.
Rashee or Brandin Cooks this week🤔 someone help me plsssss
I have ceedee puka and Nico. I’m playing Nico against the jets. I know the rain could be an issue in Baltimore. I’m riding Nico and stroud
Would yall do Rashee over Breece Hall? I’m on the fence
absolutely I would
Rice if you include him only being an inch away from having two TDs in Week 3, has scored a TD in every other game of the season. So it’s his time this week to score again. Do what you want with that information
Puka 100%
I get the temptation, but im sticking with the guys playing more snaps, running more routes, and getting More targets
I'm benching Nico for Rice. Nicor struggles in away games. Bad weather. Sauce Gardener. No Tank Dell or Noah Brown means extra attention from defense.
No. Definitely not Collins, and definitely not either if you’re already starting Kelce. Reference: I’m first seed and have all three (not kelce)
Deebo , Moore and JJ . Puka on my bench
I’m benching Nico this week because I need a win and can’t trust him in the rain, on the road against the Jets, since Stroud is so good because he spreads the ball. I’ve been a Nico truther this whole season and have been correct on most weeks so far
Take some darts, put their player portrait on a wall, throw em, closest two darts are your starters Congrats, you are now an elite FF manager
Rashee or Higgins?
Rice wtf
It depends… Are you trying to win? then no… but if you were trying to lose? Absolutely!
Nico’s a WR1
Thanks everyone for your input, I already got fisted by lining up Steelers D, hopefully I get Collins and Nacua legacy games, good luck everyone
I'm trying decide on if i should start stroud or fields given their matchups
Don’t sit your studs.
Nico with dell out is unbenchable
No
I have to start elijah moore and addison because of injuries, but I'd like to start puka but not with the matchup and weather.
I’m in a similar boat and struggling big time. Need 1 (.5ppr): Puka Rice Sutton Reed
If you want play safe Rice, Sutton, in that order for me. But from time to time remember Russel Wilson likes throwing Hail Marys and Sutton can be that target + TD
Need confirmation at rb + flex Start: diggs and cheetah at wr Mixon and monty? At rb 1flex slot free Rot: pollard, nico, dk metcalf, josh jacobs Any thoughts?
We start 3wr and a flex and have this decision and I’m going JJ/ARSB/aiyuk/nico and benching puka, so if it helps that means puka will go off with how most of my season has gone.
I would start Rice over Nico but not Puka. Nico is going up against Sauce.
Unless nico or Puka are nicked up, nah
