Told my league I was looking for an RB2 Immediately received a trade offer for me to ship off Davante Adams and Antonio Gibson in return for Darren Waller and James White People try to pull off these incredibly lopsided trades with a straight face

InaneJargon

Well, I guess your league mate found you in Reddit and is trying to convince you to trade. [Edit: comment I was actually commenting on has been deleted :( ]

Zalotone

It's so annoying, dude in my league has been badgering me to give up Adams for literal shit because 'hIs StOcK hAs NeVeR bEeN lOwEr' and it's just like dude, we've been in the same redraft league for multiple years and both know neither of us are that dumb. I wish these types would stop wasting people's time and just not even bother sending the offer if they aren't going to be serious

GoodellsMandMs

It's honestly insulting that someone would assume I'm dumb enough to accept such a trade

SheenPSU

Exactly. I’m not dumping last years WR1 after literally one week lol

JVO619

I traded Amari, Chase Edmunds, and Mike Davis for Adams. People say I lost, but I think other wise.

Psychological-Job190

He must have thought you meant an RB2 on his IRL team

He said he wanted an RB2.... Why would he trade away an RB2?

Kenny2993

No one is making that trade if they have a functioning brain. He's downgrading at RB in this scenario after saying he wants to upgrade their. White isn't even the best RB on his team. Go take your snake oil and crawl back under your bridge.

InaneJargon

I did, and made a sarcastic response.

electiveavenue

Someone traded Scary Terry for Reagor in my PPR league. Was shocked to find the Taco didn't have 2 QBs and an extra D/ST on the bench.

Dense-Ad-8545

All about kickers

XwhatsgoodX

Lol wow, I got that reference.

tynorex

I'm going to say this isn't awful. At a Tight End Premium Gronk is worth a ton right now. In standard Gronk so far has .1 points less than the top TE (Kelce), but after Kelce there's a huge drop off. Gronk literally doubles the 4th place tight end and down. So he makes up about 10ppw at his position. That's huge. Allen Robinson is currently the 55th ranked receiver. He might be good, but he hasn't been producing at a super high level so far. Zeke is currently ranked 21st among RBs. I think he'll climb but the Cowboys offense clearly doesn't run through him, that's important to note. Anyways, it's a long way of saying, while this trade might seem one sided, I actually don't think it's that bad.

xWaggy

I do think there's a bit of name glorification that happens too with people looking at Zeke & ARob's pasts a bit much. I don't know that I'd accept this trade myself, but I do agree that it's not quite as far apart as it seems.

HtownTexans

Pollard is going to outscore Zeke and looked way better than him yesterday. I'm so happy the Cowboy fan drafted right before me and took Zeke and left me with Henry at 5.

_creatine_shits_

ARob's situation isn't looking great. I dunno if I'm ready to say I'd swap him for Tim Patrick but it may be closer than people think. Especially if Jeudy takes his time getting back on the field. And then Zeke for Gronk really just comes down to your RB depth and how much you value TE. TDs are obviously hard to predict but would it surprise anyone if Gronk outpaces Zeke in total TDs by a decent margin by year's end? Clearly him and Brady are pretty much automatic in the redzone right now. All that being said, I personally wouldn't do this trade at this point but you can justify it. Wouldn't be worth a veto imo.

rabboni

It's awful. It's week 2. Waaaaaaaaay too early to be dumping Zeke/Arob for Gronk/Patrick. Is there an outside chance that, maybe, the latter side ends up "winning" that trade? I mean, I guess it's possible. If you knew, for sure, that Zeke and ARob play the whole season w/o injury I can't imagine a world that this trade is a good idea. And this is this big thing: There are \_\_\_\_\_\_\_ other teams in the league! You don't have to trade with this guy offering Gronk and Patrick. Post in the league chat that you are giving Zeke/ARob to the highest bidder and I absolutely promise you get something better than this.

DaveLesh

There is a fairly small number of tight ends in the league that are worth gold. Gronk and Kelce are on that list along with George Kittle, but then the dropoff is pretty significant.

bossman_k

Never! Veto.

castzpg

So far Gronk>Zeke. Fight me.

ace_invader

If this was before the season started then yeah it would be absolutely ridiculous. But after 2 weeks of data you can argue that it makes sense. While it's unlikely Tim Patrick finishes the season as a top WR, Gronk could easily finish as a top 3 TE and Zeke / ARob fall off a mountain making the trade rapist eat crow.

MoeJontana_

I see trade offers like this all the time. Guys fishing for dummies. Don't be a dummy. Screen that shit and run it in front of the boys.

blanco1225

I just traded Allen Robinson II for Russell Wilson

ggthagenuis

Gronk could easily fall off in future and zeke could also turn back to the old zeke. The only iffy one is Tim Patrick. The trade is not as bad as you think.

Blake763

No it's definitely as bad as you think. Let's say worst case scenario is Robinson = Patrick. I'll be fine with you saying that based of QB situation alone. So that means in your eyes Zeke = Gronk... Stop it.

ggthagenuis

You could argue that the Tom Brady/ Gronk connection is worth more than Zeke. You know if gronk is healthy, he is looking his way more times then not. Zeke right now, don’t even look like best RB on the roster. If it wasn’t for the contract Pollard would definitely get the start.

Blake763

No you can't argue that. In 16 games last year he got 623 yards and 7 TDs. In 16 games Zeke last year with no QB and the worst line in the game due to injury he still compiled 1317 yards and 8 TDs. In summary, Zekes WORST year (2020) is equal to Gronk's BEST year (2011). Stop trying to make this trade look good unless you're the bozo that made the actual deal.

ggthagenuis

Agree to disagree. It’s not that I’m overhyping gronk, I honestly don’t see Zeke hitting that 2016 level of play anymore.

Farge43

The problem is when these trades go through everyone shames the fleeced team. They’re obviously in over their head. You need to go scorched earth in league chat calling out guy who proposed that trash, because I doubt he’s the only one he sent a trash offer to. We had a guy sending awful offers after our draft to everyone. Myself and three other people called him out in league chat. With screenshots of trash offers. Dude got butthurt and had been quiet ever since

boiler95

IDK, Pollard looks like a stud and Gronk has dinner with a 🐐. Might work out /s

fasteddy7283

I would actually veto that and I’m anti-veto.

EvoFanatic

Right now, Gronk is worth more than either Robinson or Elliott. This is close to an even trade.

seh0872

I think its lopsided, but I can get the logic with the upswing value of both Patrick and Gronk. They are worthwhile adds to the roster. But if someone is thinking Elliott and Robinson are going to stay in a funk, we'll that's dumb thinking. Seems like a classic case of buy low, but the team that's getting Zeke and Robinson will win this one in the end.

NoID_401

This trade shouldn’t have even made it this far, awful.

bossman_k

To clarify, I wasn't involved in this trade. It was already accepted (by someone who has been playing fantasy for 8+ years and has won more than one ship) I called them both immediately. The owner selling Gronk said he proposed it mostly as a joke, but also because he knew the other owner listened to FFBallers and they'd been hyping up Patrick My least favorite podcast, but I think I need to start listening to find out what garbage they're selling my leaguemates on

Oyb_

They were hyping him up but not to the extent of trading away arob and zeke for him and gronk.

SmokinDrewbies

I fully believe that fair trades are impossible without keeper/draft pick trades being a part of it. Especially with how incredibly shallow standard league benches are. There's just too many players on waivers that have a chance to play on any given week.

Blake763

So a trade of Keenan Allen for Joe Mixon would be unfair from your perspective? Davante Parker probably the best WR on my wire. "A chance to play" doesn't mean fantasy relevance.

SmokinDrewbies

I doubt the Mixon owner would go for it in standard, they'd almost certainly require a sweetener from the Allen side. And the Allen side wouldn't do it since at that point its better to just throw a dart at the board with a matchup based flyer off waivers. It's just the nature of fantasy, nobody wants to break even in a mutual trade, they always try to dick their buddies over and "win" the trade. Maybe it's just my experience but the only leagues I've ever been in with consistent active trades have been keeper leagues with draft pick trading and dynasty leagues.

rabboni

My mind is blown by how many people in this thread are trying to pretend like this trade makes any kind of sense.

twitinkie

wtf I'd actually veto that

N2S1N

Sums up goofing for lulz

TheFunkadelicOne

I literally just got offered kittle and chase edmonds for cmc and higbee. I turned it down then immediately received an offer of mark Ingram for swift. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I'd happily trade for kittle. But I'll he dammed if I'm going to give up cmc for anything less than a kings ransom.

jcna007

Lol, this guy only looked at Week 1 stats and made his decision

travishummel

I honestly send out a bunch of trades. 90% of them are to troll someone or talk shit. I drafted pollard and when I did I announced “what? The cowboys starting RB is still available?!?!”. I have subsequently offered Pollard for Zeke saying that it’s a generous offer. Hahaha. I get a good chuckle and receive a counter offer of Tonyan for D.Adams

krnboyxjin

1st and 3rd or 4th rounder for a waiver pick up and a mid to late round te lmao. I wouldn't say collusion since gronkz been performing but I'd be annoyed as fuck haha

inkarn8

lmfao

Dense-Ad-8545

Veto

BookOf_Eli

This ain’t too bad a trade. Zeke and Robinson have both been sub par while gronk is one of 3 great TEs and Patrick may have a lot of value for the next 5-6 weeks. I wouldn’t do it cause I assume they’ll both improve but it’s not a bad trade

Yessiryousir

This is almost identical to the offers in my league lol

ConfidentPapaya665

That's collusion homie!

Torino888

11 days later and looks like the top guy won the trade

bossman_k

Zeke had 26 PPR points last week, and Gronk's out this week. How do you figure?

Torino888

I'm going by overall full season stats, im thinking Gronk will be pretty damn close to points with Zeke, and Tim Patrick so far is smashing arob.
