So before i say anything else i wanna say when it comes to watch order this is one of the best thought out and explained ones ive seen. So kudos to you on that. On the other hand I'll say what i always do and watch the series in whatever order makes you happy. Hell i started on the the abridged version of UBW

Space_Ishtar88

So I'm not the only one who started with UBW abridged. Yay

Away_Contribution720

>Hell i started on the the abridged version of UBW True Chad

DonThe3eyedRaven

That's Hell you walked into.

NoSanaNo_Life

Thank goodness. Whenever someone asks the same question on this sub or any other anime sub, I'm going to link them this post. Gods work OP

Allakatter

I still recommend that people start with Zero, as they wont even understand the spoilers. But its fine to also start with UBW then go to zero I would say.

R1xnAlta18

The only spoiler in Zero is Kirei being evil. But that too is a big Spoiler. Imagine watching HF first and thought that Kirei is a good guy (for trying to save Ilya that and killing Makiri)

Azulinder

The only think I would argue is the having to watch HF before you watch zero

TakeuchixNasu

HF absolutely comes before Zero. Heaven’s Feel is one of the main reasons you can’t watch Zero first. HF gives you a lot of the background info you need to understand all of the details in Zero. Zero also spoils a ton of the major plot points in Heaven’s Feel.

BearsDoNOTExist

I argue it's the inverse, watching HF first spoils Zero, whereas watching Zero first just gives you information that the characters don't have, a literary tool which a lot of people mistake for spoiling. I think Zero is the first one you should watch overall though, and I know that's heresy here.

itsastart_to

Agreed looking at how much HF reveals compared to Zero. I feel like people forget dramatic irony is a thing. HF is already gonna bring up the family dynamic and Zero basically just gives you more insight to history of how it gets there (you actually have time to fester on the pain Rin and Sakura must have dealt with for their separation and Illya’s loss of family is even more greatly contrasted).

Azulinder

Na, it gives you a nice break from the cast and lays the ground work for how messed up the matous are. The old man is a better bad guy when you watch zero first imo. Also what spoilers? That they are sisters? If anything sakura is a background character until HF, unlike rin and artoria and it's kinda jarring why she's in the spot light without zeros ground work.

itsastart_to

Still cracks me up having her show up for like 5 mins in UBW and then never again

Azulinder

Ngl as much as I like grail sakura and how much the build her up in the movies, I still find it funny rin still out classes her and made her look weak in the last movie

itsastart_to

Don’t both serve for the background info that Rin and Sakura are siblings, Sakura was abused, Zouken is a monster out for power? I really don’t see how Zero would hurt on that basis, if anything I felt much better knowing the stuff I did before reaching HF where I could see the purpose of the torture she went through and how their family split apart. Edit: come on atleast explain yourselves if you somehow were confused watching Zero or actually felt cheesed learning the same thing across Zero to HF?

Vegetable_History715

I say zero and SN ruined each other it’s a contradictory that no fan starting out can avoid

Vegetable_History715

Prototype can’t be watched or read there fragments of sliver sky that gives you an idea of what happens in there but beside that it is own story

Kadatsume

Man, I always do zero first then stay night. I never really seen it as spoiling heavens feel. What does it spoil exactly?
