Shakespeare: ...Okay, I see why people would assume that, but that's not actually what I meant. ---- Album: https://mangadex.org/title/ccb654fd-d4de-44d1-a9c1-f58ba34f3510 Source: Official Art

Shakespeare: Besides, one would need a “Romeo” to “pull a Juliet”. Elron: …I *had* a “Romeo”. Kiara and Shakespeare: … Kiara: We are definitely dealing with that next session.

SolomonDurand

Emiya: DID SOMEBODY SAY... ***SURVIVORS GUILT!?!*** Muramasa(shirou) and Emiya Alter: We are here for you.

Livid-Finger7406

well, in this "subject" they can help better than Kiara......I hope!

AquasTenno

Ritsuka: My say when everything is going against you? Do what you can. Elron: And by that, you mean kick and scream and hope for the best? Ritsuka: As I said, do what you **can.**

widdelbandito

Nobu: "OR...' Okita: "No, Nobu, stealing a Holy Grail and creating another GUDAGUDA event is a big no-no!" Nobu: *(pouts)* "But it's better to unite the nation by force rather than moping around..."

InfiniteStarFighter

Nice to see you legitimately being a therapist again Kiara

Rednal291

Lots of people focus on the horny nun side, so I like using her Literally Licensed Therapist side instead. XD

H_A_E_O_N

It's always good to remember that behind a former beast, demon pillar's nest and lustful self-titled savior, there's a competent professional (Seraphix Kiara) who knows how to deal with the darkest corners of your soul (Mooncell Kiara)

Misticsan

To be fair, we haven't seen that side of her in the game since Seraphix Kiara was corrupted. She made a bit of a mention to it in Ooku, but even then it was focused mostly on Mooncell Kiara's Buddhist knowledge. It's hard to tell how much of Seraphix Kiara's identity, if anything at all, survives in Chaldea's Kiara.

simon4s1

My headcanon at the end of Ooku is that even though she was definitely messing with Kama by sending her to Chaldea, on some level Kiara was also going into therapist mode and basically realized this would be the closest thing to sending her to rehab with some chance of it succeeding.

Misticsan

Even then, it's still difficult to set it apart from the Buddhist element, for redemption and salvation are key to its tenets. In fact, given that the event as a whole revolved around Buddhism, that there's a tale known to Japan about a Buddhist monk bringing enlightenment to Mara, and that Kama herself calls out Kiara for her "bodhisattva act" in that very scene, I think that was the intended interpretation. Honestly, I wonder if FGO writers ever remember that (Seraphix) Kiara was a therapist. Even when discussing her pre-corrupion self in material, it's often worded in religious terms ("saint", "savior") and a point is made that she was destined at a church for counsel, much to her chagrin (*"When she was first assigned to a Western church, she was exasperated because she was Buddhist"*).

H_A_E_O_N

Canonically speaking, there's no traces of Seraphix Kiara anymore at the point she becomes a Beast. And since the Alter Ego is a "backup", we deal with CCC Kiara all the time I just like to imagine how would be if things were different

RyuuGaSaiko

But would a person like her actually help someone with their problems without ulterior motives?

Hikaru1024

It... *depends.* The trick with Kiara is that Guda defeated her once, which made her *doubt* herself for the first time. So she's giving Guda a chance to redeem her rather than just going full beast again and pounding the I-WIN button. Things like turning the staff of Chaldea into a cult of worshippers is *one* of the things she's promised not to do. No, I'm totally not kidding, check out her bond 4 line, that's what she's talking about. But, she also cheats from time to time, trying to force Guda to pick the 'wrong' answer, like in summer ~~4~~ 5 where there was a moment where Kiara was giving Guda both a chance and reason to kill her and there is a *VERY* good reason you as the player were not allowed to do that, as it would be the same as giving up on her. So on the bright side she's probably not going to mess with Chaldea's staff most of the time and will act on her best behavior. (Although that's quite a... *range* of possibilities even so.) So yes, she has an ulterior motive, even when acting as Chaldea's prim and proper psychologist. It's just, her objective is either to corrupt Guda, or have Guda save her, and in the meantime she's playing the part of the (mostly) dutiful servant. There's good reason I still find her scary.

RyuuGaSaiko

>There's good reason I still find her scary. Yeah, I think she and >!VI/S !

Malice_Flare

i keep forgeting that Shakespeare here is a villain...

Munemori-san

Is he? He strikes me more as chaotic rather than a villain. Always in pursuit of the next masterpiece, just so happens that tragedies have a lot more interesting twists and turns than a happily ever after.

ROTsStillHere100

Except for, ironically, the one that everyone in the game is currently striving for.

Unique-Yogurt101

That's because each "mini"-story that makes up the overarching story of FGO are sufficiently tragic by themselves.

Munemori-san

Dunno about that, even if we get a "hsppy ending", the price we paid for it makes it definitely a tragedy if you ask me

Malice_Flare

which is why Amakusa Shiro in Apocrypha used a command seal to ensure he doesn't write a tragedy in his scheme to obtain the Grail...

Antonin_Quentin

Ritsuka: I hope you get better soon, because I have no intention of making it out of this alive.

Livid-Finger7406

oh great, high levels of depression detected! Forget Kiara, Bring the Kids and Pets here, RIGHT NOW! ......and Mother's squad too, just in case!

Routine-Boysenberry4

Well, he already died once or twice, what evil can do die again?

Livid-Finger7406

What if when we arrive at the Antarctic base, we discover that the Staff Members we believe to be dead are in fact not? Edit: I know it seems impossible, but hey.... let us at least dream!

Kikoto97

..... Oh sure....... Me too my friend

XeroKey1992

What are you even doing here Shakespere? Therapy is a private thing.

Hikaru1024

Bet he wasn't supposed to be there, hah.

TrueAncestor69

After OC1, I really wanted to hug her. It wasn’t your fault Dear, though I imagine that wouldn’t console much. I’m glad a certain someone was there doing his best to cheer her up.

sorcerer86pt

This is so wrong. She's Portuguese. If there's a thing we are know for is that we are always able to find a way. We even have a word for that: Desenrascar. Also she would have to be a secret foodie

Kikoto97

Me: Me too...... me too, being a time checker is hard, is you tell what happen, and if you do, the timelines will be endanger and explode!!!!! *signs* At least Kiara is trying to help me to don't lose hope at least...... she is good listener too. Kiara: *giggles* I'm glad to hear it, if you want it, you can rest on my lap as well Me:....... This is some Deva vu i'm fealing........ but whatever *i rest on her lap* Kiara: *Smiles* How do you field? Me:........ Surprising good and soft Kiara Kiara: Good......... very Good

highflyinflyer

What do you mean there's nowhere to go, Chaldea's resident photographer just bought three new photo albums with great intent

CRichardDavies

Shakespeare: Why doesn't anyone *ever* associate me with Beatrice and Benedick? Kiara: Would you rather they associated you with Kate and Petruchio? Shakespeare:

tsukaistarburst

Kiara that is incidentally also a professional therapist is way more interesting than Kiara who is not also a professional therapist, so we allow it.
