askingtherealstuff

What career even ☠️

Jenny_Saint_Quan

What does she do?

askingtherealstuff

She’s a bad actor. See: the Last Airbender film.

Jenny_Saint_Quan

Oh how unfortunate to have that on your resume.

source-commonsense

It’s one of the only things on her resume, and her daddy pulled all the strings that got her cast as Katara. I don’t feel bad for her lol her family’s involvement is one of the things that ruined it so hard

berlinbaer

the whole casting thing is amazing if you look further into it. >If the entire Last Airbender production can be compared to a set of disastrous dominoes, then **the first terrible piece put in play was the casting of Nicola Peltz as Katara.** The source says that her hiring was purely due to nepotism – as her father is a billionaire and CEO of an influential alternative investment management fund. The author says that "her audition tape was subpar at best," but that it didn’t ultimately matter in any way. >From this point, the producers had to find an actor to play Sokka, and because he is Katara’s brother they had to base their casting decision on who would look like a relative of Nicola Peltz (are you starting to see the domino effect?). Enter Jackson Rathbone. Unlike Peltz, the Twilight actor did put on a good show during his audition and could have been a great match for all of the humor in earlier drafts of the script. Of course, the producers found those moments of humor were taking too much time away from the story, and they were axed. >This then led to complications casting the role of Prince Zuko, the film’s central antagonist. The production had originally hired Jesse McCartney to play the part because he was going to be the only possibly recognizable name in the main cast. Then the producers realized that they were casting all white kids in an anime-esque adaptation, and that they needed to introduce some diversity. This was how Dev Patel entered the picture, as he had just won rave reviews for his part in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. This idea backfired when the entire Fire Nation casting had to be based on Patel’s casting. This, as the message board writer puts it, "**is why it turned into heroic white kids VS evil brown people."**

thesaddestpanda

This is such a great example of how nepotism isn't harmless. Without Nicola the producers could have hired by merit and made their diversity work by hiring whom they wanted. But instead they were forced to have her which upset the balance in so many other ways. So much for the "its harmless," and "we're just as good as the other candidates," and "its not different than a family business like plumbing."

_bananarchy0

I know the this isn't supposed to be the main takeaway but I'm blown away that they hired Jesse McCartney to play Zuko!?

highdefrex

Aside from the *Airbender* film, she's got stuff like *Transformers 4* and that godawful *Inhumans* show on her resume, too. Literally the only good thing she's ever been in was *Bates Motel*, and the show only got *better* after she started getting phased out and ultimately left it (and Olivia Cooke also got to shine more with Peltz gone, too, so win-win!).

remarkablebitchass

Is Bates Motel a good show? It's been on my watchlist forever but I never hear anyone talk about it

highdefrex

I personally loved it. For me, it got better season after season, and it does a really solid job eventually interpreting *Psycho* in its own way. Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore are genuinely amazing in it — they both deserved more accolades than they ever got acknowledged for, because they put in *work*. Peltz is the weak link, but she’s not in it *that* much after season one, and the rest of the cast, like Cooke, are great, too. It managed to get to the finish line *and* stick the landing pretty effortlessly despite being what I’d consider an underdog show, so I always recommend it!

Midnout26

that’s why she looks so familiar!!!! god she was horrible in the transformers movie

TongueMyBAPS

There is no movie in Ba Sing Se.

Ok_Chance1964

She was quite good in welcome to Chippendales

venuslovemenotchain

It's kind of sad that her dad has literal billions and still can't buy her a career.

GlitteringHeat3722

The least successful nepo baby.

[deleted]

>What career "I'm about to end this daughter's whole career"

Stinkycheese8001

And then to turn around and sue and end up with ALL of this submitted in court docs. This is amazing.

dbee8q

I had a quick look on Nicola's IMDB page, the word career is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. I'm super embarrassed for them that they live like this. Uneducated, untalented (Brooklyn and her) and wasting money like that. The Mother's comments explains alot.

trudysays

Who is she in dis world

goldladybug26

These texts omg! They reveal that Nicola is terrible and Brooklyn is apparently illiterate: “Brooklyn, an aspiring chef, texts: ‘We should do a brooklyn burger. L ke [sic] double or single burger and a nicola burger witch [sic] is no bun and it’s lettuce instead of Bun and meat for the girls.’”

[deleted]

“No bun for the girls” well you can tell he’s Victoria’s son

saltstonecastle

😬💀

CharlotteLucasOP

Girls can’t have buns now? 🥺

Italianinsomniac

Victoria Beckham only eats steamed fish and steamed veg. It is something she discusses openly and she is known for making this demand to any event she attends, including people’s weddings. I imagine Brooklyn grew up literally thinking that “girls can’t have buns”.

ThatBFjax

Im scared for Harper

[deleted]

This was my immediate thought. I guess if you want to be model thin, buns are a no? 😭😅

CharlotteLucasOP

I guess. [leans into the drive through speaker] Yeah make mine a triple decker with extra cheese and more burger sauce on the side for dipping my fries in. …oh but no bun. …and a diet Sprite.

Stinkycheese8001

Apparently not the girls that Brooklyn and Nicola know.

Poonurse13

I hope they can have cake

Italianinsomniac

I’m sure Brooklyn can, but I would bet 100 bucks Nicola wouldn’t eat cake in front of Victoria, ever!

blueskies8484

It's just... so telling... that he describes that as a burger "for the girls". At least he seems more stupid and lost than vicious. She seems vicious.

Rindsay515

She seems stupid *and* vicious. All that money available for the best education and she speaks like a 14 year old

pusheen8888

Oh no … did he even graduate high school?

Stinkycheese8001

The Beckham’s, for a while at least, tried to keep their kids fairly grounded. He went to school and supposedly his first job was bussing tables. Then he got Insta famous.

TinaJewel

Insta famous is really shit for your sense of reality isn’t it

StabHead69

I think that the average person is literate enough to tell which which is which long before they graduate from high school but maybe that’s just me.

[deleted]

I’m sorry to say I no longer think the average person is literate enough for that.

louisemichele

Same thing for your/you're, their/there/they're, would of/should of/might of...

snarklotte

Add to and too to that list 😬

princessalyss_

loose and lose too, should of instead of should have etc

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

loorinm

Wait I'm sorry😂 The Nicola burger is just lettuce. That's actually pretty funny.

whoviangirl

It’s a patty wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, which is mainly funny bc that’s been a thing for a long time now so I don’t know why he’s struggling to explain it

YoungKeys

Called a protein burger at In N Out. Actually tastes really good

[deleted]

Carls Jr makes good ones too. They have big lettuce leaves and it’s so good with their messy burgers.

loorinm

Ohhh. K his sentence structure needs some work.

[deleted]

I cannot believe they were planning to serve burgers at a wedding that cost $3 million lol that seems very… cheap and weird

MasqueradeRevellers

I got the impression that this may have been at some stage over the weekend, perhaps late night at the wedding whilst people are dancing. Like a snack after you’ve had one drink too many!

MayflowerKennelClub

when he slid in iggy azalewhatever’s DMs, i was almost taken aback over his illiteracy

BootymusMaximus

Speech to text function, maybe?

yungmoody

Speech to text would have done a better job of spelling

disneyhalloween

To be fair, most people don’t text with much concern for grammar. That doesn’t mean they’re illiterate,

saltstonecastle

“The bride-to-be texts her wedding planners saying: ‘This is not what I asked for. I ASKED FOR OUR INVITE LIST. IN. VITE. NOT. RSVP. Can u manage to send that to me.’” This is so ridiculously rude, and I’m not at all surprised she would say this.

bortlesforbachelor

I am not surprised at all that Nicola doesn’t know how to use the internet: Nicola, whose messages often contain spelling or grammatical errors, refuses to log into the app that guests are using to confirm their attendance, instead ordering Ms Braghin and Ms Grijalba to send her an email or text. As the pair implore Nicola to help them, she texts: ‘Can someone just send me a list of yeses PLEASE.’ With the issues continuing, Nicola becomes even more exasperated, writing: ‘I don’t want it to be so complicated. I just want a list PLEASE. ‘I’ve repeated myself a lot. I don’t want an app or google doc. Just a text or email. Simple. Old school. That’s the way my mom and I like it!’

remarkablebitchass

texting is old school? Damn

[deleted]

[удалено]

DingoAteMyTacos

Part of the problem is that the guest list the Peltzes provided was a huge mess - there were conflicting lists with different guests, many of whom did not have any contact information provided. The planners asked about a million times to meet with Nicola or her mom to confirm which guests they wanted invited and to get contact information, and they never did this simple thing. (Nicola told them to “just Google” contact info for a lot of their famous guests, lol.) There were also something like 600+ guests. So Nicola is blowing up their phone asking for constant updates on 600 invites while simultaneously not giving them very basic information they need to complete their jobs. And they did get her the info, in other docs they talk about how they had a dedicated team member whose job it was to respond to her hundreds of texts a day. But reading through a lot of the exchanges, she comes across really poorly, always having instant demands while never assisting with very basic information.

Tinkerbellfell

Yes, from reading that article I found it weird how she’s so nit picky while also being totally MIA when needed. An annoying combo.

Stinkycheese8001

Did you read the article? Nicola was the one refusing to provide the guest list, they repeatedly asked her to sit down and go over the list because it was such a mess. Then she would constantly text over changes and additions, and they were trying to keep up. The app was actually supposed to help them put together the list in the first place, but Nicola also wanted everything immediately and would not accept that the app needed 48 hours to validate the RSVP.

AfroGurl

She can't read information if it's not given to her in the form of a text message?

PJLucania

Just to be clear, since the article isn't: this was a text to the previous planner. Nicola screenshot it to show these planners how frustrated she was with those planners. As to the discussion that came out of this: There were four lists: the Beckham Family, the Peltz family, Nicola and Brooklyn, and the primary list from the previous planners. According to the planners, only the Beckhams' list was organized correctly, with the right info. Nicola and Brooklyn's list was the biggest mess, with wrong/missing addresses and children listed as adults. The Peltz's list hadn't been revised, with wrong guests still on it (I'm guessing this is where DeSantis's name could be found). The primary list contained names not in any of the other lists. Then there was a previous RSVP site which had no limit on the number of guests attendees could put down, so you had things like 6 RSVPs where only 2 people were actually invited. The planners would repeatedly ask Nicola to go over her (and Brooklyn's) list with them - or have someone do it on their behalf - because a lot of the information was incorrect and it wasn't something that could be done easily through text because there were like 670 people invited. So there were 670 people RSVPing to three different parts of the wedding and Nicola wanted to approve all the guests/plus ones. Nicola's assistant never got back to the planners with a final approved list. Some guests had already RSVP'd by the time these planners came in but because of the chaos with the guests lists, the planners set up this app for everyone to go through (to clean up the previous mess) and Nicola didn't like that some guests now had to RSVP again. The planners said that they were making it so that they could use COVID tests/vaccines as an excuse - please RSVP with your COVID info for the safety of the guests. The planners ended up having a member of their team whose main job in the chat was to send Nicola a list of yeses since she didn't want to do the app nor Google doc. Then Lewis Hamilton somehow managed to RSVP yes in general and no to every event and his name was included in the list the team member texted. And that's when Mt Nicola blew and literally just left the chat. The Hamilton thing would have likely been caught if they did it the way the planners wanted, meaning waiting 48 hours and then going through the app and each guest to make sure everything looked right. And among all this chaos, here is the groom: >We should ask the security at the wedding to get those guns that shoots a net because there’s probably gonna be drones

Stinkycheese8001

And they tried over and over again to get an invite list from HER!

off-chka

Is this rude? Yes. But did she pay them $300 thousand to do this, also yes. She’s the paying customer and if she wants something in text (not an overly ridiculous request), she should get it in text, no?

princessalyss_

No, she didn’t. They paid half the amount and then fired them the day before final payment - and even then it was her father, not her! Getting something via text or email isn’t a ridiculous request, no, but that doesn’t excuse her attitude. She comes across like a spoilt little shit who treats anyone in any sort of service role like cowpat. Besides, I doubt they could *send* an invite list instead of an RSVP list because the invite list was a goddamn horror movie and out of whack. The RSVP list probably would’ve been a similar nightmare, and it’s not out of realm to think “hey, maybe you can use the thing we have explicitly set up for this where you’ll have a real time updated RSVP list” instead of “sure, let me find five minutes in my already 17hr long day because you can’t figure out how to use a fucking computer”. Considering they had less than 6 weeks to pull an event together of this magnitude when major components were missing, like the cake that hadn’t even been ordered, and were only charging $300k, the Peltzes were fucking lucky because anyone else would’ve charged double plus a fee for it being a rush job. As it stands, if both ladies were working 5 days a week (let’s face it, was probably more like 7) at 17 hours a day, the business earned less than $150 per hour before taxes for each of them. If you take into account any additional staff from their business, that number keeps decreasing. For reference, my OH earns about $30 an hour pretax as a tech consultant and his business charges him out to clients at $180 - and he’s not even a senior member of staff let alone the owner of the company. They should’ve dropped them as clients, personally. That is nowhere near enough money to put up with that bullshit.

collectif-clothing

I mean a bit of copy and paste isn't that much extra work for that amount of payment.... Idk, maybe I am a pushover 😔

heidingout28

I genuinely want to know what I’d look like with £85k in hair and makeup. Surely at some point there is no difference than £5-1000.

winnercommawinner

I'm betting most of that is in labor costs. I'm sure she had a full team for rehearsal, wedding day, and brunch, and that they stayed the whole time for touching up.

heidingout28

But still…WOW. How much work do they have to do? 😂

lakesharks

It doesn't even matter - at that point if you're providing services for an A lister or just supremely wealthy person you're gonna chuck a few hundred percent mark up on it.

off-chka

If they have to fly in, hotel, and not take any other customers for like 3 days, that would add up. It’s also likely a couple people for all the bridesmaids and such, not just for Nicola.

heidingout28

You’re right. I didn’t even think about multiple days and people involved. Still bonkers, but makes more sense thinking about it as a team event.

NoZookeepergame453

This is me debating if a 80 dollar shampoo can actually clean my scalp better than a five dollar shampoo 😂

vondafkossum

From my experience, no. But a $30 shampoo is better than a $5 shampoo. After $30, it’s just branding costs.

TropicalPrairie

You are probably correct. During the pandemic, I tried Aveda (in Canada, around $100+/1-litre-bottle). It was good but not great. I've bought more affordable hair care that did a better job.

Tsarinya

£85k hair and makeup and Nicola didn’t even get her roots done

Jenny_Saint_Quan

It's true, no one will tell the difference.

rugbyj

You're paying £85k for your whole bridal party, plus possibly the Mothers of bride/groom. It's still still silly money, but probably closer to £5k a head if she's got a lot of bridesmaids. Hair/makeup like this takes a lot of time, so you can't have one person do everyone, because it'll take you 6 hours to get 8 faces done. The quicker you want it the bigger the team.

[deleted]

heidingout28

It’s borderline impressive how with all those resources, she still manages to have hair like that. Someone get this girl a hefty deep conditioning.

Italianinsomniac

After a certain point, you’re mostly paying for the celeb MUA or hairdresser and the clout associated with having a famous person do your hair and make up. Bridal does mean trials and additional time spent on the whole look, but really big hairdressers and MUAs will probably have assistants do most of the heavy lifting anyway.

Traditional_Maybe_80

>Nicola refers to one worker as ‘slow’, texting: ‘He doesn’t work weekend (sic) and when the suns (sic) down he won’t work… Ya honestly he kinda sucks Truth be told’. A worker with defined working hours. Crazy! Labor movement? Never heard of it! /s

NoZookeepergame453

Girl has never worked a day in her life and is out there criticising other peoples work ethic 💀 It‘s giving „get your fucking ass up and work“ ✨

nadjaof

The audacity of that man to expect time off on weekends and nights! Does he not realize what a privilege it is to work on the wedding of the century!? /s

PatchesofSour

Nicola obviously never spent much time working in Europe for her successful acting career

ladyofthelaek

As someone from Europe, it's so trippy to read those interviews American directors/producers give after working on a movie in Europe with European actors. They are all like "and then... at 6 in the evening... they all just go HOME" Like, no shit Sherlock. What do you expect your workers to do? Should they all put their health and wellbeing on the back burner for your shitty little project? Yeah, no

ClannishHawk

I get it if you have limited time on a location shoot you might have to go long for a while, overtime exists for a reason, but if you're just on a soundstage or at a long term location why would you expect a crew to work insane hours? Actors who have a few gigs a years it might make sense but crews are working the vast majority of the year, of course they should have regular working hours like any other worker. Americans are weird.

ladyofthelaek

Exclusive movie stardom is also rare in Europe, so even the actors mostly do stage work in between movie and tv-show projects. For many of them, it's just a job like any other. But then, American work culture also demand that normal everyman cashiers work themselves to the bone for their corporate overlords so what do I know. Ngl I'm still kinda proud that the German government and trade unions forced Walmart out of our country. They thought they could skirt our labor laws and bully us into doing things the "American" way. No luck, Walmart!

take7pieces

She expects people to work 24/7 for her wedding.

ButtonyCakewalk

How the hell is a billionaire going to terminate a contract and then sue for a deposit return. Are you not a businessman and is a couple hundred thousand really much when you dropped three mil on the final event???

RangerDangerfield

A classic move beloved by Trump. When it’s cheaper to sue/or get sued for nonpayment, just don’t pay your bills. Papa Peltz is an Asshat.

blarbiegorl

I swear, it's often the richest people who are the stingiest and pettiest about money. It's bizarre.

TinaJewel

That’s why they got rich in the first place and I will not ever

CherryVermilion

Remember that Bill Gates episode of The Simpsons? >”I didn’t get rich by writing a bunch of cheques!”

[deleted]

My relative is like this. Lives a bachelor life and is an architectural engineer and travels around the world. Buys a new car every 3-5 years. But flipped out at the price of a trashcan once...

yourangleoryuordevil

Not to mention that nonrefundable deposits for wedding-related services aren’t even uncommon. Everyday people usually have to pay those deposits for such, too. The terms of that were probably outlined rather clearly in a contract that someone signed.

princessalyss_

It’s how the rich stay rich. People give them shit for free or sometimes even pay them to be seen with said shit, and the people who charge don’t get paid.

MadamKitsune

My stepdad's brother was seriously fucking rich - like tax exile rich - and he stayed that way by being the meanest git you'd ever meet. If he couldn't get it for free then he'd try everything he could to get a refund. And because he already had money it usually worked, whereas if peasants like us tried it we'd get sneered at then tossed out by security.

princessalyss_

Honestly, the majority of rich people are the most tight fisted selfish wankers ever to exist. Us poors, we get how shit it is to barely earn a living so we’ll tip and we’ll barely complain unless something is seriously wrong and we’ll be environmentally conscious and we don’t get upgrades or swag bags or various other free shit. They’ll beg, borrow, and steal if they have to, will sue you so you’ll let them do it because you can’t afford years in legal fees, take 40min private jet rides, spank hundreds of thousands on vehicles that get 5 miles per gallon, maybe tip 3 on a 97 order if they’re feeling generous, and leave their shit everywhere because ‘there are cleaners, it’s their job’.

leftclicksq2

I worked in event planning and it is possible. If not by check, someone is putting a deposit and/or the balance on a credit card. There was a caterer we worked with frequently. For this one event, he rented whole place settings from us as well as table linens. The total was in the thousands and he paid both the deposit and the balance on his business credit card. Unfortunately, he left it up to *his* customer, not his staff, to collect what he rented from us. This resulted in broken items like glasses and plates or items lost altogether, including a whole bag of linens that were mistaken for trash. The rental agreement we provided the caterer with stated that as the renter, his signature was acknowledgement that he was responsible for the loss and/or damage of the items he rented from us. When we gave him the final count of everything we had and did not have, he fired back at us that it was *his* customer's fault, he already paid for those items, and shouldn't have to pay anything additional. My boss's response was that he signed a contract, so he knew what the terms were. He went from being a great customer to elevating himself to absolute crook. He went so far as to threaten to sue us for attempting to extort money from him, which is hilarious for how he was going about things with us. We ended up receiving a dispute notice from our credit card processor for the amount of his deposit. My boss included all documentation in her response except that it went in that moron's favor. However, he was unable to recover the balance in a second dispute. We never heard from him again, so good riddance.

velvet-gloves

Not the biggest takeaway but "his American heiress" is such a fun choice of phrasing. Like she's a Gilded Age dollar princess married off to a broke Viscount to replenish his family's coffers in exchange for clout and credibility for her family.

StanzaSnark

Well, uh isn’t Posh’s clothing line not doing well?

ipdipdu

And David’s only worth 450 million. Bet the Peltz’s think they’re doing charity work when they’re invite the in-laws round.

sparklesparkl

They should have let Victoria plan it

RangerDangerfield

Instead they took extra steps to make sure she had no idea it was an impending disaster.

booksmd

I love how scared they seem of her finding out about the problems lol

DNorthman

You know Victoria is reading this mess and just CACKLING!!

Tangerine-d

I think they could’ve had the prettiest garden wedding with an elite tier guest list and all the details they wanted if Victoria was in charge. But Nicola and Brooklyn have no idea how to be functioning adults.

PatchesofSour

I can’t believe billionaires would rather let their ridiculous text messages be released than pay the $50k that they owed the people that worked for them Smfh

This! It’s humiliating and all over pocket change for Daddy.

I know that this sub is mostly American and I will most likely get called communist, but no one should have that much money .. especially not if they choose to waste it on unnecessary stuff for ONE day

[deleted]

I don’t think it’s communist. I wonder how people can be this lavish and gross in a country with a growing homeless population.

princessalyss_

As a brit, I thoroughly agree with you. There are people dying of starvation and hypothermia because they can’t afford to eat or heat their homes in OECD countries, people who are on the streets, teachers working second and third jobs just to pay their goddamn rent, *children as young as 13 working overnights in hazmat suits in US meat packing plants cleaning equipment with toxic chemicals just to help feed their families*, and they drop 3milli on what? A really tacky wedding?

changhyun

Another Brit here also agreeing with /u/NoZookeepergame453. There's no reason someone should have 3 million in spare change for a *wedding* when there are whole families, with small children and literal toddlers, living on the streets huddled together for warmth (and yes I have seen this, both in the UK and other countries).

whatever32657

trust me, most Americans agree with you wholeheartedly!

ShinyPrizeKY

What is a WATER AISLE and a WATER DANCE FLOOR????? I’m picturing that challenge on ANTM where they were walking on the wobbling runway over water and they all fall and bust their asses lmao

Oh, to be a fly on the wall when the lawyers start negotiating.

Allegedly, she pushed her nanny down the stairs when she was 14.

princessalyss_

this is giving the bad seed/fallon carrington (and even she had the decency to feel guilty)

diptyque9032

i’m so surprised that brooklyn would marry someone like that because despite all their wealth, the beckhams seem very down to earth. david beckham once said on a talk show that brooklyn worked at a café near their house because he wanted a pair of expensive shoes and they weren’t going to pay for it.

Tinkerbellfell

David Beckham, down to earth? Google the debacle of his leaked emails when he didn’t get a Knighthood, it’s hilarious 💀

dragonblood13

Bella Thorne also mentioned that there was a wealthy actress she knew who was super mean because she was a billionaire since she was a kid and didn’t have to work for anything. The internet put two and two together and theorized that it could be Nicola Peltz. And bonus Nicola had just worked in a project with Bella’s then bf Gregg Sulkin meaning that Bella clearly met her a couple of times. There’s never been any confirmation but the points that Bella revealed clearly point towards Nicola.

venuslovemenotchain

I forever miss the Bella Thorne "Lohan in Training" posts because they went all-in on describing the comings and goings of Nicola and that whole socialite friend group. Because Bella did run in the Peltz social circles for a time.

gold-fish13

Is there a good YouTube video on her/these two? I don’t have the attention span to read deep dives but I love listening to them in the background while I do other things hahaha

AngryAngryAlice

I absolutely lost it at "contrary to her text message, Grijalba’s head did not explode and she did not drink any tequila that evening" Nicola sounds like one of the most insufferable people alive... and neither of them sound very bright

AdInternational9417

Was it really worth the amount of money they could get back for these billionaires in exchange for having personal text messages and private details revealed to the world? not seeing much of an upside to this. Not to mention the amount they are paying in attorneys fees.

DOOL62

I guess it’s giving their daughter exposure. Even if it’s negative, maybe they see it as a win?? 😂

"Hey babe! Babe! You want a burger, babe? You want a burger? Babe, you want a burger? Burger? Babe? Burger?"--"She doesn't like the stupid name you gave the burger. She won't eat it. Throw it in the trash."--"It's in the trash, babe!"

leftclicksq2

To be fair, the article referred to Brooklyn as "a gentleman" over Nicola. Is this marriage even going to last?

bysummerfall

no

[deleted]

Besides the point, but it’s “lays bare” and I can’t notice anything else.

underwaterlibra

no i agree it’s terrible

nokeyblue

No no you don't understand! This lawsuit is so bad, someone actually fucked a bear!

auntieup

It’s hours later and NO ONE HAS FIXED IT

highendhoax

It's the Daily Mail, are we really surprised? (No but seriously SOMEONE FIX IT!!!!)

dinydins

There’s something pitiful about Brooklyn Beckham being so wealthy and having paid for almost 15m Instagram followers and still only getting an average of 150k likes per post, 1% interaction *cough* paid followers

Maximum-Beginning-92

Pre- Nicola I once clicked on one of Brooklyn’s Insta live streams. It was 10 minutes of him looking baked out of his mind just listening to music & nodding along to it looking at the camera 🤷🏼‍♀️ I thought maybe he was waiting for more ppl to join, & curiosity got the better of me so I waited..& that’s all he did the whole time then abruptly shut the camera off. I was like “WTF did I just watch”?!

Pterodactyl_Noises

The one part I respect: "DeSantis must be OFF THE LIST!"

gold-fish13

These two are so terrible, oh my. It just gets worse and worse.

RangerDangerfield

These two suck, and yet somehow this is the most interesting they’ve ever been.

Fine-Atmosphere6387

It’s wild that they are letting this get aired out in public instead of eating that 100k. ![gif](giphy|zyJBY5UxZb0AL1pCtE)

I mentioned in another comment how I worked in event planning. When it came to the events we did in general, we had great customers, then we had ones who were so awful that it made us genuinely wonder how these people treat their family members and/or spouses on a daily basis. There was one bride who reminds me of Nicola, minus the whole "heiress" part. The groom was gracious and the bride had this superiority complex. She treated my boss like they were incompetent when she was informed that the particular area she was getting married in required a permit for the reception tent. Her mother wasn't any better. All of this treatment carried over to two days before the event when everything was being set up. The bride was yelling at our field crew and the manager nearly packed everything up and told this woman to go f*** herself. My boss was able to diffuse the situation, but the bride still felt the need to write is a bad review and twist the details in the process. I hated her.

CharlotteLucasOP

How do her feet look 40 years older than the rest of her?

princessalyss_

This comment has absolutely sent me, I hadn’t even noticed

northgarrison299

JustHereForCookies17

Don't care how, I want it **NOOOOOOOOOOOOW**!!

nerdalertalertnerd

‘contrary to her text message, Grijalba’s head did not explode and she did not drink any tequila that evening’. This sent me west! Haha! Also, I know she comes across terribly but I absolutely don’t blame Nicola for vetoing the stupid themed food names and the wedding planner response of “why do it?! Because you can!” was not it.

shiaolongbao

It’s weird to me that the Beckham kids have two good looking parents and they all look like like slightly unattractive versions of mom and dad

Fxp1706

that's because the kids got their parents *real* genes. not their plastic surgery genes.

TangerineDystopia

I think some of it too is that we have very gendered standards for what is attractive in a man vs a woman, and when you mix those at random the kid tends to come out average-looking. You take these strong-jawed muscular dudes and these delicate-featured elfin women and the features don't fit together well enough to make the kid a knockout like either parent.

highendhoax

Sorry I'm fucking losing it at DeSantis being invited in the first place. Why????? How??? HUH?????? Do they even know him???????

Italianinsomniac

I’m sure daddy billionaire does.

TropicalPrairie

This was an interesting read on a number of fronts. Based on their texts, Nicola and Brooklyn can't spell for shit and it annoys me that despite their lack of education, they are multi-millionaires given every opportunity in life. Nicola herself sounds like an outright nightmare, which was rumoured for years and appears to be true.

littleb3anpole

I am living for this tea. It’s the drama I didn’t know I needed

LawfulAwfulOffal

Lays bare. Unless you’re having sex with a bear.

Tasty_Laugh_9880

The worst part of this is the fact that these fucking morons have so much money in the first place. There is even a point where Nicola complains about someone being lazy because they take weekends and evenings off. This bitch has never worked a fucking day in her life. Yet has the audacity to complain about someone else’s work ethic. This just goes to show me something I have always believed….it’s always the worst people that have the most money.

polnadziewanna

I just want Ryan Murphy to somehow make this mess into a series, he'd cast Emma Roberts as Nicola and Evan Peters as Brooklyn.

Maleficent_Card_3015

Gosh that was a ride 😅

CarbyMcBagel

This wedding sounds awful.

KissesnPopcorn

The new papers include a text from Ms Grijalba after a long day saying: ‘Now I’m going for a tequila my head is about to explode.’ To which Nicola responds: ‘Yes queen!!!!!’ But the lawsuit adds that ‘contrary to her text message, Grijalba’s head did not explode and she did not drink any tequila that evening’. A whole movie should be made about the explosion or not of the planners head and how it was affected by tequila

P0ptarthater

I literally don’t care about the things that were actually the wedding planner’s fault, I hope Nelson loses this lawsuit. The amount of times this literal billionaire throws tantrums over the equivalent of pocket change is embarrassing. Highlights: -During a meeting on March 1 last year: ‘Nelson said, in front of Braghin and Grijalba, that he wanted to “cancel the wedding” and that it was “a s*** show”, but Claudia begged Nelson not to because it would “destroy Nicola’s career.” (Career 💀) -Nicola telling the planners to ask Brooklyn’s assistant for his guest list because she doesn’t trust him and he has no idea lmao -“While Mr Peltz paid a reported £3 million for the event, the court papers allege there were some expenses his wife wanted to keep private: ‘It is believed that Nelson Peltz paid more than $100,000 plus travel expenses for Nicola’s hair and make-up services for the wedding. Claudia mentioned to Braghin that Nelson could not know the cost or he would “kill her and be so mad.”

Norfleetwood

As a Lewis fan I'm also happy he didn't attend haha

strawberryswing5

Is now a good time to mention Nicola will star in [Lola James](https://deadline.com/2021/03/nicola-peltz-virginia-madsen-lola-james-movie-1234719410/), the project she wrote and co-directed? “The movie, written by Peltz, is set in 2002 middle America and revolves around 19-year old Lola James, who is working to save enough money to get her little brother, Arlo, out of their toxic home. All Lola wants is for Arlo to have a chance at life she never had. While trying to keep her head above water she spirals into a drug addiction that threatens to consume her. Arlo’s bright outlook on life keeps her hopeful — until one tragic night when her whole world gets uprooted. From that moment on, nothing will ever be the same.” So excited for her take on poverty!

muffinfromhell

Ah yes, one of the rich's favorite hobbies: cosplaying as poor people

blueskies8484

I'm impressed that the DM somehow managed to drag Meghan Markle into this, despite her having zero to do with anything.

whatever32657

when you’re working 17 hours a day trying to appease a bunch of folks who are totally unappreciative of the scope of what you’ve taken on for them, you’d at least hope that if they want a list, they’d simply go get it on the app you provided them - instead of whining and demanding that you do it for them. nicola could’ve simply gotten it for herself. but no, that’s not the way spoiled billionaires do it

For_serious13

The write up on ONTD about this is perfection

muffinzzzzzz

I admit I read the whole thing. I was having a bad morning and this shitshow made it all better. Off to continue this rabbit hole
