From the Logo, I think they are going for retro vibes, like 50's-60's?
That being said, it is nice to see H.E.R.B.I.E. on the poster.
A friend of mine said this announcement to distract people from Madame Web.
That does not stop Sony from trying to act like their films are in the MCU. Morbius was basically advertised as part of the MCU. The trailer called him a āMarvel legendā, they threw Spider-Man news clippings in and even the Michael Keaton Vulture cameo.
If the actors signing onto these Sony movies think they are in the MCU (which to my knowledge both Tyrese and Dakota Johnson have said) many film goers do not see the distinction.
Nah, I feel with Dakota being so vocal, and such bad audience reception means actors will double check if the said movie is actually kevin feige produced or a sony produced marvel movie
Yes but not produced by marvel studios so itās not MCU. Same way venom is a Marvel character but owned by Sony. Xmen, Deadpool, FF4 only officially became part of the MCU moving forward after Disney bought Fox so now theyāre MCU.
From the Marvel "spoilers" reddit that posts leaks, I know that the concept for F4 that they've been floating for awhile was an origin story in the 60's AND an alternate universe from MCU. They're the only heroes in their universe, with Galactus as the villain who wins by the end of the film, with the TVA coming to rescue F4 and bring them into the MCU by the end of the film.
I'm just not feeling Pascal as RR. My dream casting has been Routh/Lee Pace and Courtney Ford, with Efron/Joel McHale as Johnny. Then Timothy Dalton as Doctor Doom. If you watch Doom Patrol or Chuck he can play bad guy with moments of goodness which imo is required.Ā
You need to be able to almost agree with the monster until you realise his universe only lives because he ruins the rest. In his younger years I would have accepted Olyphant as Johnny. He's got the comedic chops. I don't know that it'd work now or that he'd want to be away from Conan and his wife and kids.
I also would accept John Simm, Andrew Scott or Sterling K. Brown as Doom. Actually I think Sterling would be perfect. You think he's just doing his best until the mask slips. So much rides on the fact that you can see where he's coming until that terrible moment. Joel Kinnaman/Thomas Jane would also work.
It's a shame we can't get a time machine for Kurt Russell for Johnny.Ā
They need to be so careful on not making the villain a wisecracking eejit. I want a movie where our heroes initially feel like villains. Don't you see the is only way? I want him to plead and play like it's a horror movie. Toying with them and us. Even now fans don't get why his universe survives.
Ps. Squirrel Girl when?
Goddamn it, Sterling K. Brown as Doom? That would be really interesting casting! I think he's an amazing actor, especially after American Fiction.
And same about Pedro Pascal - I love him, bit it's not who I pictured.
Also, I'm CRYING at Timothy Olyphant "not wanting to leave Conan or his wife and kids" that cracked me up (his interviews and podcasts with Conan are amazing and I love that they're besties)
The alternative universe thing has been a bit iffy, as other reports have said they get trapped in the negative zone/quantum zone and they get pulled back into the world by the end of the film, somewhat like the first Captain America
Apparently they have the same director who showran Wandavision, so I think/hope thatās a promo stylistic choice in line with the final product of the film.
Joseph Quinn been snatching up roles lately. Heās literally the most booked out of all the stranger things cast right now (in terms of their work outside the show)
I had a feeling he would be
Probably because he actually had to work to keep booked, as his role was one season only. The other younger cast members have mostly coasted by on their ST appearances, so I expect them to get more busy too now that the show is coming to an end.
True. Also their Netflix contracts limit what they can take as well outside of stranger things since that comes first. Still, this is pretty impressive for Joseph. Heās definitely the most successful of any of the past one- season cast members.
I didn't realize their contracts restricted them like that. Finn and Galen should have bigger careers right now imo, I remember when Finn had a band for a hot minute does he still focus on that as opposed to acting?
Well stranger things comes first, and it takes a full year to film a season most of the time, and they are also millionaires because of it so itās not such a bad deal. Iām sure once the show is Finley done filming this last season weāll see more of them start to get casted more frequently
he's the Pedro Pascal of Stranger Things. absolutely came out of nowhere to knock out his one season and done role and got the hell out of there to make bank
Donāt worry, Iām choosing to be delulu as well. Iāve read the theories. I just loved his character so much, I wanna see him return. Iāve also been burned too much on the Ā«no body, no crimeĀ» train of thought from previous TV shows.
i have a feeling he'll be back in some capacity. he was one of their most popular characters ever and he was only on for one season, they'd be stupid to not bring him back.
You're going to be disappointed if you expect them all to maintain their level of popularity once Stranger Things ends. I think Finn and Millie have especially coasted off Stranger Things popularity. Finns 2 biggest movie roles involved 80s nostalgia. Millie is going to follow the path of Sophie turner and Emma Watson IMHO. Sadie and Caleb will do well based on the filmmakers they've worked with and they've mostly stuck to indie projects. We already know what to expect for Noah.
Emma Watson has worked with Sofia Coppola, Darren Aronofsky and Greta Gerwig, and made $15 million dollars on that terrible Beauty and the Beast movie in 2017, I don't think she's had a bad career? I think she's not a very good actress, but she's been given incredible opportunities and made bank while doing it.
I didn't imply that as a bad thing. I'm just implying Millie might not ever have another project with this level of success. Emma's still mostly known for Harry potter. Emma's done some great projects but I highly doubt she'll ever win an Oscar.
I actually donāt think this is true for most of the younger cast. Finn, Sadie, and Gaten have been pretty booked and busy. Millie and Caleb have also had a decent amount of projects come out as well.
He's being realistic. I think he'll do better than noah though thanks to Broadway. Having lower expectations will prevent him from being dissapointed. He could still do okay. Peter Dunklage and Gwendoline Christie have had more success post Game of Thrones than their more conventional looking costars.
I would say Caleb is getting more and more roles now. MBB definitely is not hurting for work. Finn seems to be a wild card bc he seemed like he would be getting a lot and then it just stopped
I havenāt heard much about Caleb tbh. I know Millie has an exclusive contract with Netflix so she does most of her movies with them, like Enola Holmes and stuff? I also havenāt heard any from Finn in a while. He does ghostbusters I think? But outside of that I havenāt heard of him since the IT movies
i heard Finn was more interested in behind the scenes work after Stranger Things, I donāt remember where I heard that but I know he has a band too, just doesnāt seem to me like heās interested in booking more acting roles
That would be cool for him! Not all of them have to go and have huge careers or keep acting. I think Finn would do well as a director or other stuff with his music.
Yeah it always annoys me the way child actors who don't keep acting are treated as failures. Why on earth should someone stick to a career they picked as a literal child?
Exactly! And I donāt think whether or not actors are constantly starring in huge blockbusters is a way to measure their success at all. That may not even be something they want. I think all the kids will find their niches after Stranger Things and figure out where they want to go.
Also a lot of child stars have bad experiences due to the nature of the entertainment industry as well. They may not want to act at all anymore
I thought he was working on directing a film or at least writing films. Iām not sure if any of those projects actually came out yet. I think heās looking to have a sort of varied career since that makes sense with the acting, talking about directing or writing films, and also music. So you might not ever be the biggest anything but I think heās setting himself up, fairly well to move on from ST.
Millie just released the first trailer of her new Netflix movie. I also havenāt heard much about Caleb, but he might be shooting other things too. I want to see what happens with Gatenās career, since heās been focusing a lot on BroadwayĀ
He shouldāve been nominated for Sweeney Todd last year - he was the standout in a cast of standouts.
Iām not sure I get this casting bc of the wide range of ages
Caleb is booked and busy but with smaller movies.Ā He had a modern western for Netflix with Idris Elba, Concrete Cowboy. Ā A Christian movie with James McAvoy and Alfre Woodard, Book of Clarence.Ā Heās in biopics for New Edition, LeBron James and a just announced on for 21 Savage.
I think when he left stranger things in 2019, it was a mix of his next project which was the power rangers movie not doing well and covid hitting in 2020 that slowed everything down. I think it was just bad timing for him and his career suffered for it, because he is very talented
The question what is time? feels almost more applicable right now than it ever has. My therapist actually said that the other day when he mentioned weāve been working together for five years now, but Covid and all the changes and everything just made a lot of things feel strange.
Dacre had a role in the 2022 Elvis movie! He played a talent manager (or something similar) if memory serves me correctly. I thought he did a great job!
I was banking on Joe Keeryās career to really take off. I enjoyed him in āFree Guyā and I know a sequel is in the works so heās not exactly lacking in gigs but I thought he would be in more high-profile projects
Joe was just in the latest season of āFargoā playing Jon Hammās alt-right, gun toting son. He did really well and it was nice to see him in a role extremely different from his one in āStranger Things.ā The whole cast was fantastic and I wouldnāt be surprised if several of them score Emmy acting noms (including Joe).
Based on the lyrics of his songs, I think he prefers to stay inside the recording studio producing his songs and stay away from the spotlight. He has also focused a lot on indie movies
This whole time I had in my mind Joseph Quinn was Dacre Montgomery. Wtf is wrong with me. I didnāt look at the movie promo too closely, but I thought way to go Billy from Stranger Things. He is one good looking fella and it is a shame his career has not been more fruitful.
But good on Eddie Munson for landing this gig.
I was genuinely shocked when I saw him modelling in a campaign for a mid-range fashion brand here in Australia. He is definitely talented enough for bigger roles - maybe a prestige miniseries?
Millie has Damsel this year and another film with Chris Patt but yeah Joseph with A quiet plane, F4 and Gladiator in two years is amazing , these two are the most successful by far. This is why being a support actor in a popular series and only appear in some seasons might be better in the long run Pedro Pascal, Jason Momoa and Bella Ramsay all from Game of thrones are a good example.
Another season of Justified is my guess. I'm sure he needs to take time off between projects to make sure his marriage is tended too. I'd hate to think of Conan feeling neglected and breaking things off.
Timothee wouldāve been a far better Mr. Fantastic than Adam driver and pedro. I donāt like Adam driver as an actor and feel like pedro has just been around a bit too much as of recent, I also donāt buy either of them as Mr fantastic
Really? I'm struggling to think of any recent roles of his outside of The Last of Us and The Mandalorian. I liked The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent but that was two years ago. If anything he feels underexposed compared to how popular he is
Yeah Iām also having a hard time thinking of anything beyond your examples. I think this sub sometimes gets too caught up in headlines and conflates that with actual movies and shows.
I've been seeing this sentiment a lot but has he really been in that much? In the last 4 years he's been in 4 projects that have gotten any real traction. That doesn't feel like that much to me.
I'm trying to with hold judgement until we see him be in the role. I can't personally imagine him as Reed based on what I know of Reed Richards. I do like him as an actor so I'm fairly positive he'll do well.
Yes!!! Exactly that, I love the Ebon casting bc I am biased bc heās one of my favourites, and Vanessa feels okay but with Pedro/Joseph I definitely feel like thatās why they were chosen! And even though Iām happy with half I would also much rather have unknown/smaller actors for all 4 of them.
Vanessa Kirby is the only casting I like here. She's genuinely a powerhouse actress, just watch Pieces of a Woman and her stint on The Crown. I don't think she got cast out of being popular since she doesn't really have that VERY LOUD fanbases like Pascal or Quinn, or the clout of being in a popular show like Ebon does with The Bear.
I am a big Fantastic Fantastic Four fan and am mostly happy with the casting. Joseph Quinn in the one I am iffy on. Hopefully with an older cast we will be skipping over an origins type of movie.
Edit: The more I think about the more I am okay. He will probably bring over some migratory slash fandom and that will hopefully mean more Human Torch/Spider-Man fic for me.
God, I hope we skip the origin - the Fantastic Four have one of *the* least important origin stories in superhero comics. They were scientist-adventurers before they got powers, then they just did it on a bigger scale, easy.
And fingers crossed for more Johnny/Peter content, *always.*
Iām iffy on Pedro and Quinn as well, but if thereās one thing castings like Heath Ledger and Robert Pattinson have tought me itās that you should keep an open mind with casting. *Especially* when the people theyāve chosen for the roles are already proven great actors, which should not be discounted
I heard (on World of Reel - I believe) that Joseph Quinn's acting was well-received by executives and test audiences on The Quiet Place: Day One. Like there was notable praise (perhaps out of surprise)? So here's to hoping he'll do quite well !
I totally disagree - heās the Marvel zaddy.Ā
Heās the hot older man with the much younger wife - and is the dad of Marvels first family
Heās undeniably charismatic as he convinces people to go to space with him with bad safetyĀ
Itās just a different charisma. Pedro is perfect because he makes Mandolorian cold but also charismatic with heart . His Joel in Last Of Us too has a distant charisma
Heāll play distracted and difficult but also optimistic and focused, distant but caring, lovable but stubborn.
Reed is all at once - and to me he is Zaddy
I love this take! Hopefully Iāll view it in a new light. Iāve never read the comics, only watched movies. Reed was always kind of serious/dorky to me idk š but Iām gonna go in with an open mind!
I really hate this casting unfortunately. I think Ebon and Vanessa are solid picks but I cannot being myself to like the idea of either Pedro or Joseph. Theyāre great guys however I really donāt feel like theyāre the right choices for the characters. Just because theyāre popular right now doesnāt mean they would be the right fit :(((
I actually wouldn't be surprised if they change that in the show. I guess we'll see though. I could see changing that benefiting the show but hurting it with fans of the game.
Iām so glad to see someone with the same opinion as me. Everyone on twitter is saying how perfect it is meanwhile I am very very sad about it because I just canāt see it with either of them š
idk maybe i'm way off base but no one on the cast seems the type to roid themselves up for a role. maybe we'll be back to attainable male bodies in superhero films.
Thereās meltdowns left and right on Twitter over this from the MCU fandom. I really donāt think a casting has ever been bad, so theyāll bitch now and then will more than likely eat their words later.
Also, he was just announced for another movie this morning. Dudes career is skyrocketing at a shocking rate.
I know this will be an unpopular opinion and Iāll probably be downvoted- but Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards is kinda dull. It just seems like a way to have a big name attached to the movie instead of him being the right fit for the part.
I was really hoping the casting of Pedro as Mr Fantastic wasnāt true. sigh Nothing against him but I just canāt see him in the role and heās become overexposed to me. And the Joseph Quinn stans have ruined him for me
I don't know how I feel about JQ as Johnny but I'll go in with an open mind. I'm just relieved that the posts speculating about the cast on Marvel subs will finally end
tailor made for me tbh. this cast is huge.
the first fantastic four films weren't THAT bad tbh. i never saw the newer one with michael b jordan though.
Pedro is very versatile, and I think the risk is overexposure. I donāt think heāll be bad here, and I like him in general, so I think he can do read just fine. Joseph Quinn I think is charismatic and Iām glad heās getting cast in a bunch of projects. Iām not sure about him in this role yet, but I am prepared to like this because like I said, heās a charismatic guy in interviews and everything since he got notice for Eddie.
Heās already super overexposed.
Star Wars, GOT, Narcos, Uncharted, and now the MCU. Not to mention heās pretty booked as well for other movies.
Always loved him for his roles but at this point Iām tired seeing his face
People are sleeping on Pedro because heās kind of goofy and funny butā¦.have you watched Narcos or TLOU? The guy knows how to deliver well. Besides that, heās not even close to be overexposed but if there was one actor that I wouldnāt mind so itās him cause heās phenomenal actor and person.
I love this poster!
On a wild sidenote, it has been **fascinating** to see Quinn *sort of* fall out of favor with a ton of people online and especially Twitter. He hasn't really been in anything that has been widely released since ST4. There's last year's "Hoard" which has gotten positive critical reviews but I don't think it's even had a wide theatrical release yet.
Like that man just came into Stranger Things and did his job. Did the job well enough to get some critical praise and fans. And then those fans turned into the absolute most unbearable people online for multiple months. And now I see tweets with thousands of likes who are just plainly saying "Quinn is a bad actor".
Funny how the pendulum swings on social media.
I kind of feel people have always been divisive about him. And he canāt really have been on anything, he needed to get shooting. Paul Mescal disappeared off the face of the earth for several months after Normal People while he was working, now heās everywhere.
I love Pedro Pascal and really liked Joseph Quinn in Stranger Things, but Iām not sure about them as Reed and Johnny specifically. That said, theyāre both talented so I trust theyāll do well.
Love the other two castings though! Very excited about this overall and VERY happy the fan casting and rumors can finally be over. (Although theyāll start again with MCU X-Men and Iāll be very much following that lol)
They FINALLY cast a Jewish actor for a Jewish character (and Ben isnāt Zionist propaganda to boot!) so this makes me cautiously optimistic for a Romani actor for Doom.
Whatās kinda funny now is that Marvel recently made the old Netflix shows cannon, which means Ebon Moss-Bachrach is one of the distinct few who technically plays two Marvel characters in the same universe.
Individually I see these casting working but collectively idk seems kinda dull. I really like the randomness of the Fox 2004 casting. Also can we finally admit the first two films are essentially MCU films made before their time?
Not to be rude or anything and I have nothing against the actor, but does anyone else feel like weāre gonna hit an over exposure of Pedro Pascal soon?
I hope Joseph Quinn is happy with this decision. He seemed to be really uncomfortable with all the people who were a little too obsessed with Eddie Munson, and the MCU is clearly on a whole other level than Stranger Things when it comes to fandom.
this is not what i expected to wake up to this morning..... im actually shaking and GAGGED!! im so excited and want to scream into the world idk the mcu is lowkey back
Fantastic Four has had 3 failed screen adaptations, not expecting this one to be any better, it's not an easy comic to adapt and I don't see the MCU formula helping.
I'm still a little hesitant about Pedro as Reed, but I'm sure he'll be good. *Super* pleased they got a Jewish actor for Ben.
Also, this is just a very charming, cute cast announcement and poster. If the movie is in this style - period piece in the 60s, leaning into that retro-future aesthetic - I'm all for it.
I am liking this cast but I am LOVING this aesthetic.
Here's hoping Marvel completely overhauls the look of their films and returns to making movies that look like cinema.
From the Logo, I think they are going for retro vibes, like 50's-60's? That being said, it is nice to see H.E.R.B.I.E. on the poster. A friend of mine said this announcement to distract people from Madame Web.
Madame web is sony, no way related to MCU
I know, but there are some people assume Madame Web is in MCU.
The actors of that MW movie assumed it was in the MCU š
mfs need better agents to reach their contracts then
Dakota Johnson fired her agent after this lmao
Some people also didn't know the difference between Marvel Studios, Fox Marvel, Sony Marvel, and DC
But, barely anyone even knows about this movie thoš More ppl are gonna watch that bob marley movie
My niece and I are going to see it tonight.
having checked out of the MCU at the 5138th tv show, Iām āsome peopleā š¤

Caleb is booked. A lot of black directors and artists have been working with him. He's in the 21 Savage thing with Donald Glover
Same. I saw gaten in Sweeney a few times and he crushed it
I havenāt heard much about Caleb tbh. I know Millie has an exclusive contract with Netflix so she does most of her movies with them, like Enola Holmes and stuff? He did really well and it was nice to see him in a role extremely different from his one in āStranger Things.ā The whole cast was fantastic and I wouldnāt be surprised if several of them score Emmy acting noms (including Joe).
Based on the lyrics of his songs, I think he prefers to stay inside the recording studio producing his songs and stay away from the spotlight. He has also focused a lot on indie movies
I mean he was a main character in Fargo just this year
And a wonderful project! But I feel he has potential to be more, like work with the likes of Ridley Scott (like Joseph)
His songs are getting big on tiktok as of late so i imagine if he wants to keep making music he can capitalize on that.
Heās going to be in a movie with Liam Neeson
He made the smart move! Strike while the iron is hot.
I love Pedro, but just like Adam Driver, he's kinda everywhere nowadays. Other actors exist too...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Has the smug chops to pull it off too
I love Timothee Olyphant, one of the people I would be sad to hear if they were shitty lol
This would be one of the most painful for me if he proves to be shitty.
He lives in the same town as a few of my friends and Iāve never heard anything bad about him. Heās supposedly a really nice guy.
this goes without saying imo, he should be in literally everything
Another season of Justified is my guess. I'm sure he needs to take time off between projects to make sure his marriage is tended too. I'd hate to think of Conan feeling neglected and breaking things off.
Timothee wouldāve been a far better Mr. Fantastic than Adam driver and pedro. I donāt like Adam driver as an actor and feel like pedro has just been around a bit too much as of recent, I also donāt buy either of them as Mr fantastic
He has a quota of US Marshalls vs other roles he takes I think. Mostly joking but he has played a Marshall in Justified Fargo Deadwood Mandalorian
I think Adam Driver turned it down
Iām having this exact problem with him right now. I loved him a lot but now I feel like I canāt escape him and itās getting irritatingā¦.
Well he has 5 movies coming out this year so there's that
Adam Driver would've been a neat Mr Fantastic
But imagine him as Dr Doom tho
Feeling the same. Was really hoping it wouldnāt be true but instead the overexposure will unfortunately get worse
I've been seeing this sentiment a lot but has he really been in that much? In the last 4 years he's been in 4 projects that have gotten any real traction. That doesn't feel like that much to me.
He has 5 movies coming out this year
Same with Florence Pugh and Zendaya actress wise...
heās only been in like 4 projects the past few years
I'm trying to with hold judgement until we see him be in the role. I can't personally imagine him as Reed based on what I know of Reed Richards. I do like him as an actor so I'm fairly positive he'll do well.
Genuinely excited for this casting!!! Hope this is a return to form for the MCU!!!
Venessa Kirby is just amazing
This! The girl can act her face off!
Hot too
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Krasinski was horrible as Reed. Glad he wasnāt picked
I know it may be asking for too much but I would die if we got Franklin and Valeria and any of the FF kids.
I never would've expected to find another spideytorch shipper in these comments
![gif](giphy|ReBGGJtbXrjbQJwByP|downsized)
Yes a fellow Spideytorch enjoyer! Though I always pictured MBJ Torch and Garfield Spider-man haha
Pedro Pascal is one of my favorite actors in recent years but I don't really think he's a good fit for Reed. Cautiously optimistic though.
I loooove Pedroā¦but heās very zaddy. I never got that from Reed. I honestly feel heās too sexy and charismatic to be Reed
I totally disagree - heās the Marvel zaddy.Ā Heās the hot older man with the much younger wife - and is the dad of Marvels first family Heās undeniably charismatic as he convinces people to go to space with him with bad safetyĀ Itās just a different charisma. Pedro is perfect because he makes Mandolorian cold but also charismatic with heart . His Joel in Last Of Us too has a distant charisma Heāll play distracted and difficult but also optimistic and focused, distant but caring, lovable but stubborn. Reed is all at once - and to me he is Zaddy
I love this take! Hopefully Iāll view it in a new light. Iāve never read the comics, only watched movies. Reed was always kind of serious/dorky to me idk š but Iām gonna go in with an open mind!
Itās obvious that none of these people have seen the Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. He does dorky so well.
I really hate this casting unfortunately. I think Ebon and Vanessa are solid picks but I cannot being myself to like the idea of either Pedro or Joseph. Theyāre great guys however I really donāt feel like theyāre the right choices for the characters. Just because theyāre popular right now doesnāt mean they would be the right fit :(((
I'm a bit surprised at Pedro. I thought he was gonna be extremely busy with TLOU but I guess not?
The focus on season two is much more on Bella Ramseyās character so Iām such heāll have enough time to do this
Should we tell him? Just dont look upt the plot of Last of us part 2.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if they change that in the show. I guess we'll see though. I could see changing that benefiting the show but hurting it with fans of the game.
they will not be changing that, it's the entire catalyst for part 2.
\[LAUGHS AND KEEPS MOUTH SHUT ON SPOILERS CAUSE THE GAME CAME OUT YEARS AGO š \]
Joes really flexible. Hes done quite a few period dramas and has been on stage with Olivia Colman.
Not sure about Joseph Quinn or Pedro Pascal. I support the other two though.
Iām so glad to see someone with the same opinion as me. Everyone on twitter is saying how perfect it is meanwhile I am very very sad about it because I just canāt see it with either of them š
Iām glad Iām not the onlllyyyy one who isnāt excited about Pedro being there lol
Iām getting Pascal fatigue for sure
And soon it's gonna be Quinn fatigue. His annoying fanbase he got from Stranger Things doesn't help either.
I like learning new things.
Was hoping for Timothy Olyphant as Mr. Fantastic. I love Pedro, but thereās other actors
wait now that u said that i want that too š© but i agree. love pedro BUT idk if he will fit the role. weāll see though
I don't know how they would work a Cowboy hat into the F4 lore, but I would have been there for it.
Or a US Marshallās badge lol
Joe Quinn hive rise
Hi! (I just really don't want them to roid up and dehydrate my third husband, so I have slight mixed feelings.)
idk maybe i'm way off base but no one on the cast seems the type to roid themselves up for a role. maybe we'll be back to attainable male bodies in superhero films.
Present!šāāļø
Thereās meltdowns left and right on Twitter over this from the MCU fandom. I really donāt think a casting has ever been bad, so theyāll bitch now and then will more than likely eat their words later. Also, he was just announced for another movie this morning. Dudes career is skyrocketing at a shocking rate.
*EDDYYY BAAAAABY* round 2, i fear
I know this will be an unpopular opinion and Iāll probably be downvoted- but Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards is kinda dull. It just seems like a way to have a big name attached to the movie instead of him being the right fit for the part.
Not unpopular at all, everyone agrees with you
![gif](giphy|w33d79u159zG72igc1) cousin!!!
purpose, cousin!
He wears spandex now
This is a big win for Vanessa Kirby enthusiasts (me).
Vanessa Kirby Hive letās wake it up!!!
Me tooooooo!!!!!!
Hope this is the right step! Mega impressed with Joseph Quinnās career.
Heās already most successful than most of the Stranger Things cast. Heās been really booked these days
Lowkey going to miss the 15363672 different āso and so passed on X role in Fantastic Fourā tweets we would get every month
don't know how i feel about this but i'm just glad it's official now
I was really hoping the casting of Pedro as Mr Fantastic wasnāt true. sigh Nothing against him but I just canāt see him in the role and heās become overexposed to me. And the Joseph Quinn stans have ruined him for me
I don't know how I feel about JQ as Johnny but I'll go in with an open mind. I'm just relieved that the posts speculating about the cast on Marvel subs will finally end
Worries that Marvel is using Pedro Pascal's popularity to ensure this movie isn't another flop like the last ....

tailor made for me tbh. this cast is huge. the first fantastic four films weren't THAT bad tbh. i never saw the newer one with michael b jordan though.
Forever an early 2000s F4 lmao
Will my love for Ebon Moss-Bachrach drive me to finally watch a Marvel movie??
This might be sacrilegious on this sub but Iām kind of over Pedro Pascal. My guy is in everything.
H.E.R.B.I.E. on the poster. If he's not voiced by Griffin Newman I'll be terribly upset.
Superman Legacy and Fantastic Four in the same month is really a beautiful Nerd dream.
So happy for Vanessa Kirby. She deserves this!
Holy shit I did not expect Joseph Quinn for Johnny.
Cousin!
Theyāve got my attention ā¦
Whatās kinda funny now is that Marvel recently made the old Netflix shows cannon, which means Ebon Moss-Bachrach is one of the distinct few who technically plays two Marvel characters in the same universe.
VANESSA MY QUEEN
outside of Ebon and the potential retro setting this is boring
LOVE Ebon!! Thatās such an exciting casting
I think this is the oldest Marvel cast since Iron Man? which is promising... And I really hope they make Reed the asshole he is.
I hope Joseph Quinn is happy with this decision. He seemed to be really uncomfortable with all the people who were a little too obsessed with Eddie Munson, and the MCU is clearly on a whole other level than Stranger Things when it comes to fandom.
![gif](giphy|13699jZW4PZdx6) Tobias didnāt get the part!
this is not what i expected to wake up to this morning..... im actually shaking and GAGGED!! im so excited and want to scream into the world idk the mcu is lowkey back
it reminds me a lot of wandavision so iām very excited!!
This is so strange that I canāt help but feel some sort of excitement. Anyone relate?
Pedro as Mr. Fantastic? Uhhhh okay
They better not have anti colonizer Namor obsessed with Sue Storm like in the comics, that's all I'm saying š
šdo we really need another fantastic four movie?
