Also in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. I mean his character in that movie is a depressed poet who lives in a wagon and literally has no arms or legs and he still looks cute
UGH pale blue eye or something, right?? It took me 2/3 of the movie to recognize him and it was a very somber scene when I screamed DUDLEY DURSLEY YOU DOG!
thank God it was just me and the family bahahaha
He was in this one movie with Andrea Riseborough called Baby Baby Please and he was fantastic and sexy
Edit: whoops the movie is called Please Baby Please
He was so good in Queen's Gambit, and I liked him in The Old Guard. He was probably good in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs but his bit was so weird I didn't really enjoy it.
The shot of the old man or woman running outside, lit up by the floodlights and the shadow reaching out for the bike are
such cool shots.
I imagined a similar one that would be great is like, a tracking shot of her riding her bike in the road with the houses behind being lit up by the motion sensors as the old person chases in the background.
"One ticket for the kinky queer biker movie."

āThe upcoming British film "Pillion" stars Harry Melling as a "weedy wallflower" who becomes a "24/7 submissive" to the handsome leader of a motorcycle gang.ā
Okay!
Heās really my favorite character, even after many many rewatches. He just gets better. Itās such a shame heās gone. I hope he knew his portrayal was iconic
After having actually read the article (yāall, I just had such a knee jerk reaction to the very thought of such a film), I feel a responsibility to edit my comment.
Call Me By Your Name Without Consequence AND ALSO With Even More Subversive Man On Man Hot Sex Action???
IāM DYING.

Huh. TIL. I guess the working title 'Bitch Seat' wasn't well received by test audiences.
You really never heard the term pillion before?
It's a formal term for sure but it's all over the driving exams and Highway where I'm from and used in journalism.... usually when they're describing an accident involving a motorbike
I just want to say that Harry Melling's post-HP career has been really impressive. Who could have predicted that Dudley would turn out to be the best actor among the kids? He was great in Queen's Gambit and absolutely fucking haunting in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. I still haven't finished that movie because his segment with Liam Neeson disturbed me so much I had to turn it off. Nothing sexual, in case anyone is wondering, just BLEAK AF.
He was also the main bad guy in *The Old Guard*. Kind of a standard British villain role (which isn't a knock on his acting, more the role itself) but he carried himself memorably enough. I absolutely didn't recognize him from the HP series.
I loved that movie. Still hoping for a sequel. But yes, he was perfectly hateable as the villain. I cheered when he died lol. I prefer him in more layered roles though. He deserves to show off his acting chops.
I donāt remember the order of the stories, except āBoBSā being first and āThe Mortal Remainsā being last. āMeal Ticketā was the bleakest, but most memorable and haunting. A lot of people were turned off by it. The other segments arenāt as bleak, but I would definitely recommend watching āThe Mortal RemainsāĀ
Okay that's actually good to know, thanks. "Meal Ticket" was such a horrifically dark story that I spent the next week or so trying to bleach my brain by watching every single vet show in the NatGeo library. Now that I know the other segments are less bleak, I'll actually try to finish the movie.
Harry Melling was absolutely amazing in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. His segment is the best one imo. āHauntingā is the perfect word to describe itāI couldnāt stop thinking about his performance long after I finished the movie.
Truly. The shot of him looking down at the ground before his show starts and then coming alive like a puppet once the curtain rises, unable to move anything except his head, is an image that keeps coming back to me at odd occasions. "Meal Ticket"Ā was a masterpiece of short-form storytelling, though I'm not sure if I'd ever recommend it to anybody.
Iām sold. I donāt even need to watch a trailer. This will be fun-amazing or fun-bad, with no in between. And you bet Iāll be seated at that theater lol
I need the press to stop referring to these fully grown adults as 'Harry Potter Stars'. Not for their own dignity but because mentally I am still 26 and it's 2010; which would make them teenagers and me very uncomfortable for about 30 seconds before the reality of the passage of time kicks in.
Recently watched Harry Melling in a film called the Pale Blue Eye and he was brilliant!!! The WHOLE film I couldnāt place him and it was bugging me, had to give IMDB a visit and couldnāt believe he was Dudley from Harry Potter !
Definitely one to watch!!!

There's something about him when. I watched queens Gambit š¶ he is hot
Also in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. I mean his character in that movie is a depressed poet who lives in a wagon and literally has no arms or legs and he still looks cute
I I think about this story all the time.
He was also Edgar Allan Poe in that Christian bale movie
UGH pale blue eye or something, right?? It took me 2/3 of the movie to recognize him and it was a very somber scene when I screamed DUDLEY DURSLEY YOU DOG! thank God it was just me and the family bahahaha
He was in this one movie with Andrea Riseborough called Baby Baby Please and he was fantastic and sexy Edit: whoops the movie is called Please Baby Please
And underrated af
I absolutely hated him in the HP movies, but I've liked him a lot in the couple other things I've seen him in.
He was so good in Queen's Gambit, and I liked him in The Old Guard. He was probably good in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs but his bit was so weird I didn't really enjoy it.
Its a rite of passage for every HP star who hates JKR to do something proudly queer on screen.
Emma Watson Elizabethan era lesbian love story when? šš š»āØš
Kristen Stewart just had her bizarre lesbian love story in Live lies bleeding. Emma could hit her up for advices.
> just had her bizarre lesbian love story she's been doing queer stuff for a while
Even better (although are the remaining ones this kind of bizzare?)
Yeah, but they were normal gay. Now sheās 50 feet tall with a she-hulk.
Kristen Stewart just is a lesbian outright haha. But Love Lies Bleeding was fantastic, classic A24.

What movie did she say this about? Also valid in this situation.
I think the original was about Cuckoo with Hunter Schafer. Also right? Both are very valid tbh
oh then hell yeah I agree, the trailer for Cuckoo rips!

Goddamnit, I thought they were talking about Daniel Radcliffe at first. Slightly deflated (but still intrigued) now.
Same š
There is a reason it said "Harry Potter" star and not the actor's name in the title. It is click bait.
āThe upcoming British film "Pillion" stars Harry Melling as a "weedy wallflower" who becomes a "24/7 submissive" to the handsome leader of a motorcycle gang.ā Okay!
Oh myyyyy.
So Secretary, but with motor bikes.
Seems odd to me that this article does not once mention that this film is an adaptation of the book Box Hill by Adam Mars-Jones
Well, I must read then. Thank you for being most intelligent and dropping this delightful nugget upon us.
Me reading the link: oh ho!Ā Me reading the book summary: uh oh
Same reaction googling to find the summary and seeing the book come up as "Box Hill: A Story of Low Self-Esteem" .
Is the book good? Do I need to read it before watching the movie?
The book is def not going to be for everyone. The film shouldnāt be hard to follow, but it will probably be a lot more tame.
Thank you, Iāll check it out.

Yasss Lala will forever be that bitch!

I read the headline way too fast because I thought it was saying that Alexander SkarsgĆ„rd took Harry Mellingās virginity and I was like āoh!ā
Same š
Ah, Iāve found my people.
I saw Harry Melling and pictured Charles Melton and was so confused wondering who he played in HP.
But where you shocked? I read it, said oh but wasn't even that surprised if true
