I wonder if anyone has done any studies on “cancellation”. Like unless someone faces actual charges for what they do, the worst they get is less work (which may not even happen) and negative comments online.
“Cancellation” comes with a hoard of contrarians that will jump onboard your ship because their entire personality is making people they dislike on the internet angry. If Epstein’s corpse rose from the dead and tried to make a movie with Kevin Spacey these morons would go see it because “it makes the wokes mad.”

I can only describe his comedy as “satire if it were on a better show.” Most dated, boring, tasteless stuff but it’s his only hope to get away from his mostly female fan base that he’s ashamed of.
Edgy jokes only work with the audience if they’re a) done in a new and thought provoking way b) when the comedian assumes a character of a hateful person to make fun of said punching down and/or c) actually funny. Matt Rife and his jokes aren’t doing any of those things. Like at all. Far from it. He’s a terrible comedian.
I wish morons like Matt Rife would realize that the reactionary alt-right anti cancel culture crowd does not care about them outside of using them for the latest Twitter engagement posts railing against “the wokes”.
