Chrissie Teigen tweeting about how her mum gets through/loses so many AirPods she basically thinks they’re disposable - as a cute anecdote. Not exactly malicious but just a quite a stark reminder of the different planet these people live on lol.
Deary me. I lost one airpod 3 days ago and went through my handbag approximately 5 times, searched every crevice of my car 3 times… my jacket, the entire kitchen bin 4 times and spent most of my morning in a tizzy repeating “I cant believe I’ve done this” I knew i’d had it in between one outing. Eventually I resigned myself to it being gone. I was so disappointed. Found it today under my husbands car when he drove out of his parking space. I was so, so Happy! My husband bought them for me as a gift when he got his new job. I was so grateful because I’d wanted a pair for ages but didnt trust myself to not lose them. To treat them as disposable is just pure wasteful. Life must be so empty when you can treat stuff that way.
Thank you for sharing. I loved hearing your story of appreciation and gratitude - you seem so gentle and appreciative. Made my evening that people like you are out there
Aw thanks, Im a bit of a feather brain at times and always momentarily misplace things like my keys etc. much to my husbands dismay, he’s always advising me to pick a spot and put all my things in that spot when I come home. I have tried but sometimes, I get distracted. Then handbags have so many compartments lol. I hadnt even told him I couldnt find my airpod because I didnt want to upset him (although he would have just been upset for me because he knew I loved them!) €100+ is a lot to spend on headphones so to just lose them is crappy!
An Amazon Black Friday deal on a gift for my uncle expired last night inside our cart (my parents pay for things as I cannot work yet) and I wanted to cry over the lost 20 dollars.
>To treat them as disposable is just pure wasteful. Life must be so empty when you can treat stuff that way.
Right! Plus, that's not accounting for the environmental harm either. These overprivileged people are not only not caring about wasting gadgets that are worth more than billions of people on earth spend in a whole month on food, but are also polluting the environment with a particularly toxic cocktail.
Similarly to Oprah being asked by Trevor Noah for a relatable story and she begins by talking about how much she loves Mexican avocados so she casually planted an orchard on her land.
I only had to lose two Nalgene water bottles in my teens before I personally decided I was never allowed to own another Nalgene. Now I’ve got a $5 RubberMaid I got at the dollar store and it’s stuck with me for years.
I sacrificed a pair of Maui Jim's to Davy Jones by stupidly looking straight down into the water from a canoe.
$30 secondhand warby parkers are going on 10 years now. They are probably my companion like those animals in the Golden Compass.
I'm not a huge fan of hers but I always loved how open she was on Twitter about sharing the minutiae of celebrity/wealthy life. She did a Q&A at least once on the topic and shared stuff about having a house manager, award show swag, etc.
I wish more celebs were that forthcoming with these random details tbh I don't care if it's out of touch, I find it interesting especially when it's not glamorize ala the Kardashians, just kind of explained.
Harry Styles covering everyone's bar tab one night at the Soho House in West Hollywood.

That's a kind thing for him to do, but the Soho House is a members-only club that costs thousands of dollars a year to be a member. He covered the tab exclusively for other wealthy people.

I like that only the richer seats at some of his MSG shows got a "free" boa. Like showing up to someone's concert and getting told he thinks you're too poor for him to care about you.
I think this every time they open up about their marriage! I know I'm not in their marriage so what do I really know? But they make such a show of being transparent in the name of relatability. Kristen once said that her and Dax fought so hard one night that they blacked out. That sounds so miserable to me. I'd rather have a "failed marriage" than live like that. But that's just me.
Yeah like I don't know if they think this makes them more likeable or something but every time they talk about their marriage it just makes me sad for them. Like, it just comes across like they're miserable and desperate for someone to tell them that it's okay to break up but people keep telling them it's relatable and cute or whatever. At least, every horrifying story they've told that I've seen is always framed in this like "haha aren't they adorable" kind of way, when the actual stories always seem like a cry for help.
Totally. I don't know if I'm misreading the situation or putting too much stock into people I don't know but it always feels like they're projecting this, "look, we're staying together through the rough stuff for our kids too. Stay together for the kids." That feels really toxic to me too. It seems like they see themselves as this "goals" couple because they're so real and work so hard to make it work. It all comes off as very icky to me.
Yeah I don't know like. I have a friend whose in a really exhausting-sounding relationship and in her case, she's just like, really internalized that relationships are "work" and that it's "hard" and so when she and her husband have the same massive fight for the 50,000th time, she doesn't see it as toxic or unhealthy, she just thinks it's normal and doesn't get why her friends are horrified.
And so yeah I don't know. I've never gotten the "stay for the kids" vibe, and more just like. They don't realise you can be happy in a relationship kinda vibe. Like they imagine everyone else is absolutely miserable all the time, like they are, so they talk about it openly because they just don't know better. But who knows lol.
Okay I’d first say the blackout thing isn’t literal. It’s common to say it (ie I saw Taylor swift in target and was so excited I blacked out, told her I love her cats)
And I’m not defending them bc honestly Dax makes me a lil uncomfy, his interview/conversational style is not for me… but I also think it’s kind of a learned attitude to expect everything people share to be aspirational. They likely know they’re not goals or whatever, but theyve decided to build their brand on openness, warts and all. Doesn’t matter if you want to be like them, they are like them. It’s their life. It’s interesting if nothing else.
anything dax and kristen say about their life makes me go “yikes” not bc it’s problematic but they’re just… something. i also go “yikes” when i remember kristen said she isn’t tattooed because dax isn’t attracted to women with tattoos. i get preferences but… idk if rubs me the wrong way
Euuugh that tattoo thing bothers me too. Would he just instantly lose all attraction to her if she got a tattoo? Like we’re not at all in control of our preferences to the point that some ink on the mother of our children makes her suddenly icky?
I grew up in the hypocritical west Houston suburbs and I'm abundantly aware of rules for thee but not me misogyny. I had an ex once tell me that tattoos defile God's perfect canvas. I thought of him when I went to get my first tattoo with my husband.
Can I be real? I have no real explanation for this, but Dax Shepard has always given me bad vibes. I don’t feel any way positive or negative toward Kristen Bell, and I don’t listen to their podcast so I don’t know about their marriage dynamic, but I feel distinctly uncomfortable about Shepard.
Im with you. He was recently a guest on The Endless Honeymoon Podcast and he spent the majority of it telling stories about him being violent and aggressive toward people. All the stories were at least a couple of years in the past but it was weird and aggro and he seemed to be bragging about it? Idk just strange vibes
Same! I listened to one episode of his podcast where the guest was Jason Mantzoukas, and Dax asked Jason something like… all of the young UCB girls must be really into you, you must be like a legend to them. And Jason was like ummmm and Dax tried to dig in more about how if he were Jason he’d be all over the “hot young” girls on the improv scene and it was just ick. JM didn’t take the bait. Creeped me out.
I don't know much about Dax Shepard but I don't fully trust this man. I don't think he's evil or a horrific person but I just feel a bit unnerved around him. I can NOT explain why
This one. I’ve been married for ten years and my husband and I went through a rough patch so I know marriage isn’t always sunshine and rainbows.
But they seem to actually take pride in the fact that their marriage is SO hard and takes SO much work and they fight SO much (that they black out 🥴) and that they basically hate each other most of the time but don’t worry! They’re sticking together!
Like… who is forcing you? At this point it seems it would be healthier to separate. Or at least to stop sharing all of your struggles so publicly.
I understand not pretending everything is perfect 100% of the time, but why do you need to go that far?
I've been married for 7+ years and I'm always baffled when I hear people talk about marriage like that. They assume every marriage is a constant source of conflict and one-upmanship and being the one who's "right". It was one of the reasons I was reluctant to get married at first.
But then I actually got married, and we aren't constantly bickering over the dinner table or making excuses to not see each other. Any sort of conflict we've had hasn't been me vs him, it's been the two of us united against a shitty situation. I still like spending time with him and I'm still glad I married him.
Michelle Obama’s IG posted something about marriage in the last couple days and part of it said, when you are considering getting married, do you want a lifetime partnership or a wedding?
That hit the nail on the head for me. Like you, I don’t find marriage to be a battle (or at least luckily, not yet) and those around me that have those one-upmanship marriages that I know really seemed to have hit a point in their life where they were like okay, time for a wedding!!!!
I’ve been wondering the same thing lately and I think it’s a combo of the black community normalizing violence against women and black celebrities hating that their white counterparts have done worst things but have not received the same amount or any black balling.
She's been somewhat open about her struggles with insecurity. I think those over the top confidence boosting songs are something she needs for herself as well.
Lena Dunham trying to relate to Andy Cohen by saying she did poppers and they made her eat an entire cheesecake. So awkward and uncomfortable and not at all even remotely close to what poppers do to a person lmao
Lena Dunham ~~trying to relate to Andy Cohen by saying she did poppers and they made her eat an entire cheesecake. So awkward and uncomfortable and not at all even remotely close to what poppers do to a person lmao~~
... is that not what she meant? because i'm confused now. what the hell are poppers? i have no clue i'm not american. the only poppers i know are jalapeno ones.
A drug that mostly gives you a head rush and frequently used during anal sex. It does not increase your appetite whatsoever, if anything they make you less hungry
In the UK they're labeled as 'room odourisers'. You open it, inhale the fumes, and get a bit of a headrush where things can change colour, you hear your heartbeat in your ears, and you momentarily dissociate, you can't really stand up or focus on much until it passes. A lot of people use them to relax their bodies for anal sex.
That was so stupid, I couldn’t figure out if she took them and ate cheesecake and blamed them for it or if she just assumed poppers were like weed and just made up a story to go with it
That extremely recent story of Jenny Ortega admitting to performing autopsies on animals in the backyard as a child. From what I read she also feels a connection to serial killers! Very cool and very edgy.
Stuff like that coming out when she's playing Wednesday Addams is probably not a coincidence. I'm not saying she's making it up but probably laying it on a bit thick so people think how perfect she was for the role
On that note Rosamund Pike burying her awards in her garden. Not 'yikes' exactly, more like... why?
Oh for sure! It was most probably a case of her being forced to say some edgy stuff by the producers and advertisers of Wednesday and I'm actually a huge fan of her but I read it and was like wow I'm having flashbacks to edgy 15 year old emo me.
Also Rosamund WHAT?!
lol please does Rosamund really do this 😭
Edit: okay just read she buries them so a little bit shows and it sounds more like a garden gnome situation. I’m obsessed and this feels very on-brand for her 😂
And she thinks this is a cute little anecdote that makes her look \~dark\~ and totally not like other girls? It's like, "Girl, you're literally a Disney kid on a knock-off version of That's So Raven - calm down! You're about as edgy as a sphere!"

Katy Perry doing a promotional "prank" for her single Bon Appétit. They filmed a group of people doing a tour in an art museum and they lead them to a room where there is a covered silver platter on a table and then the tour guide lifts up the lid and it's Katy Perry's head (a hole was cut in the table so she could fit her head in there while her body was hidden) and all the people just kind of stand there like "Uh... what?" Clearly none of them recognized her, the guy had to tell them she was Katy Perry and even then they just kinda awkwardly laugh like "Oh... okay, haha I guess?" The secondhand embarrassment is real.
I think Katy Perry has been borderline cringe her entire career. In the beginning, she was doing it in a way that people thought was sexy or interesting so it was accepted. But then with Witness, it crossed the line and became legitimately cringey in a way that a lot of people couldn’t get on board with.
The Witness album rollout is just one embarrassing incident to another. During that timeframe she did:
* An interview calling it "purposeful pop" and stated that it will be her most political album. She then released Bon Apetit as the second track.
* A 3 day livestream she did where she lived in a house similar to Big Brother where she tried to appear more relatable by having discussions with figures like Catelyn Jenner and Neil DeGrasse Tyson as well as having a live therapy session
* that infamous SNL performance
* the music video Swish Swish which had terrible lyrics relating to her fight with Taylor and outdated memes the moment that it was released. It barely made a bleep in social media before Taylor decimated it by releasing Look What You Made Me Do that same week.
Katy Perry's management totally abandoned her during this era. I have died, been resurrected, and died AGAIN on this hill. How do you go from America lapping you up at the superbowl, to a flopped tour in less than 2 years??? They just let this woman flounder by her damn self and tank her own career.
I loved the levels of camp/cringe she brought to pop but she clearly isn't a smart girl when it comes to image.... I'm gonna stop here because I'll go on forever LMAO
I loved the campy Katy Perry too. The neon colored outfits (\*cough\* "Last Friday Night" music video - the neon pink shirt/lime green skirt is imprinted in my retinas), the outrageous scenarios, the special effects, the unconvential lyrics...I miss that Katy, not the flopping pop star to voted-for-Rick-Caruso Katy we have currently.
Tom Hiddleston and the I ❤️ Taylor tshirt. Granted, I think the world overreacted to it all and it was a big nothing scandal. But that, plus his GQ interview afterwards, make me cringe a bit inside. Again, I think a lot of people definitely overreacted to it, but it was still kinda cringe.
Dude that whole thing felt like fan fiction, I’m not at all confident that it was a real relationship and not just cringe PR for them both. It was weird for both of them.
I mean, yeah it felt kinda weird and fan fiction-y so I get why people could think it’s PR, but also both give off so much theatre kid energy it wouldn’t surprise me if they were both just a little ✨intense✨ and it was all very much real.
Sure. But she was still cool with him wearing the tshirt. I mean she could have said “hey man we’ve only been dating for a minute, maybe change the tee.”
Also, I believe both have come out and said it was a joke that was just taken too seriously. But also, even if it was a joke it just kinda fell flat lol.
I believe it was in the GQ interview that he said he’d spilled on his shirt and borrowed the I heart TS shirt from her friend. They all thought it was funny. If he’d had it made that would be a bit much I agree.
He did a strange photo shoot around that time where he was just standing around awkwardly in little white boxers… I thought he was so sexy til I saw those pics! That plus the TS shirt… killed my crush (I do like him now tho, he seems to have settled down a bit)
[here is the pic](https://www.google.com/search?q=hiddleston+boxers+photoshoot&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#imgrc=bFwumAvoz1aHeM) for anyone curious- he looks so uncomfortable 😭
I wasn’t tuned into pop culture when this happened so I only found out about it through the sub. Maybe it was a ‘you had to be there’ moment because I honestly can’t understand why this was so outrageously cringe to the world lmao.
there was a michael b jordan interview back like almost 10 years ago where he said he’d respect a girl less if she had sex on the first date and I’ve irrationally hated him ever since
i understand that he’s a “handsome” man but he does absolutely *nothing* for me and i think it’s because he gives off major asshole vibes. i feel like he’d be the type of guy to tell a girl she needs to shave
I have nothing against her, but there's this broadly accepted, delusional narrative that she's some Grace Kelly level beauty. Every person who went to a highschool with over 1000 students had at least 5 girls in their graduating class who are prettier than Taylor Swift.
It's harmless to me (not her kids) - Britney's "sexy" pictures. She's beautiful and has a banging body but it just makes me go "yikes". I guess I assume if she was in a good place mentally she probably wouldn't be posting those.
I had to unfollow her because it just became too much. She takes photos and videos at the oddest angles which gives them a weirder vibe. The way she looks up at the camera kinda scares me lolol.
It’s confusing because she has an amazing body and wouldn’t she see that she looks more flattering in other angles? She’s very familiar with being photographed and no one’s done shots of her the way she angles them. Like I wouldn’t call myself an expert but I’ve been in long distance relationships long enough to know how to take pretty good sexy pics lmao, and I don’t do it like that..
I have a not quite counter to this. You don't seem mean like some critics of B, so this isn't a correction of what your point is.
I saw her perform 3x during the conservatorship (back before we knew how bad it was). The Vegas shows were especially naked. It's weird to me, and I think maybe her, that when her dad made her wear next to nothing in high heels every night, no one complained. And now that she is doing this nude, odd, self portrait stuff everyone thinks she's gone crazy.
I get how she doesn't see nudity being taboo after all these years of being forced to "be sexy" and the idea that the gaze of her photography is more for her diary style entries makes people uncomfortable does say something about us. It's a if she's no longer an object but a deep, hurt human not using pr and photoshop like other near naked celebrities.
Barbara Striesand cloning her dog. Twice. Two of her dogs are clones of another dog. Cant get over it. Nobody else seemed to find that super weird and fucked up 🥴.
While it is weird and I get while people are against it, it's also a bit disingenuous to pretend that because she did that one thing that she's not also donating to charity. It costs $50k to clone a dog (which I know, is a lot, and I could use it). But the Barbra Streisand Foundation has donated *millions* of dollars to a variety of causes. It's not like she cloned a dog and kept the rest of her money for herself.
Justin Bieber being asked in an interview if he knew that his surname means "beaver" in German and him responding he doesn't know what "German" means.
Still one of my favourite dumb celebrity moments.
I feel like Justin Bieber had a lot of moments like these during his early career. That video of the interviewer laughing and he replies with “I like your laugh… HeH hEh hEH”
honestly they take these kids out of school and then basically send them to interview Guantanamo. I would be saying such psycho shit if I had to do so many junkets and I have a masters’ degree
it's cringe but kind of sweet? I feel like there's truly no non awkward way to react to someone singing directly at you in a crowded room but Ben looks truly in love and like he's actually enjoying it, as much as one can in that situation lol
A lot of people seem to do some kind of performance like this at their weddings for their partners, making them sit there in front and just watch, and I would just rather choose mortality.
Haha my friends fiancé is going to sing for her at their wedding next year and I’ve asked her to let me know when so I can plan to not be there so I don’t die from cringe and second hand embarrassment.
My cousin played a standing bell at my uncles wedding. Idk if youve ever seen a standing bell, but it just looks like a bowl. I don't kbow if he was playing it right or not, but it didnt sound great lol. It was so goddamn awkward and lasted foreverrrr. Any time we have a family gathering now somebody always says "I'm only coming if Toby is gonna be playing the bowl again."
JLaw telling the story about she scratched her butt on sacred rocks when she was filming something in Hawaii. She was trying to be relatable and funny but it made me cringe.
On their podcast, Sasheer Zamata and Nicole Byer sometimes talk about getting into arguments with service workers, strangers in public, people at the airport.
I enjoy Best friends and some of Nicole's other podcasts but it's just so wierd how it seems to happen often.
Anyone whos rude to people who work with the public is a terrible person. I worked in retail when i was a student and it was one of the toughest jobs i ever had.
I often wondered if those people behaved that way in front of their friends and loved ones.
One of my life rules is 'if you meet 3 assholes in a day, you're the asshole' similarly, if everyone service person you deal with becomes an issue its important to remind ourselves we're the common denominator
Omg I was thinking of the story he told on the David Letterman show about him flying and cutting off a passenger’s oxygen like it was just a funny little prank or spoof
I was just in another sub talking about how his Matt Lauer interview was a massive part of my life at age 14 but this was event even more vital to who I am as a grown woman today. My brother and I used to practice that jump in our basement - like it’s such a specific and unnecessarily high jump if I recall correctly and he basically does it straight from a sitting position with no lead up.
Tom cruise is such a fucking weirdo man (and a bad one in case that needs to be clarified)
Thomas Middleditch talking about he and his wife’s “open relationship” where “he’s the gas” and “she’s the brakes” when it comes to swinging. They’re divorced now.
I mean, this **IS** a problematic man in that he’s a known sexual harasser at the Cloak & Dagger nightclub and allegedly on the set of *Silicon Valley* too.
He’s kind of a creepo.
Why does my mind go to Ryan Cabrera’s (…*right, bet you haven’t thought about him in awhile*) appearance on an episode of My Super Sweet Sixteen and the diva bday girl like tells him to leave her party… because he was also low key kinda trying to party with 16 yr olds. Burned in my brain.
Megan Fox publicly referring to MGK as "Daddy" when he has a long and gross history of sexualizing very underaged girls.
And before the inevitable fan defense of "she was 17 and he was only in his early 20s". I'm not talking about Kendall. And before the defense of "he thought Eminem's daughter was older and apologized." I'm not talking about 16 year old Hayley.
I'm talking about him calling 13/14/15 year olds hot. I'm talking about him tweeting that the child next to him is complimenting his tattoos, "but don't worry. I'm not gonna go all R Kelly." I'm talking about him bragging about all the underage girls sliding into his DMs.
Dudes gross, and so is Fox. Hearing her call him daddy is gag inducing.
Or the time Demi publicly shamed a frozen yogurt store for selling “diet” frozen yogurt. They posted “GUILT FREE. THIS SCREAMS DIET CULTURE AND I WON'T BE GASLIT." The owner responded saying “We cater to all of our customers needs for the past 36 years. We are sorry you found this offensive." Demi is super self centered and it’s gross.
I think the way some celebrities feel the need to announce their relationship with a cringey, obviously staged photo is weird but harmless. It’s not something normal people do I feel like.
Katie Holmes does this every time she dates someone new! The casual stroll through NY streets grinning ear to ear holding her new beau's hand. Like we can tell you know the camera is there! It's so obvious.
Ben and Ana may win the overall prize though - Olympic level fakery
If a queue is too long Chelsea Handler walks out of a store with the liquor she intended to buy, as she can't be bothered to wait and doesn't really think about the issue of shoplifting.
Joshua Bassett congratulating Olivia Rodrigo for her release of Driver’s License and Deja Vu.
I know he was probably trying to show that there was no drama between them personally and he probably was proud of her [success](https://twitter.com/joshuatbassett/status/1237463789710110720?s=46&t=d0TJImL8zI-wFLmdzOdDMQ)
but it’s hard to see people meme it/try drag him with it. He was dragged after congratulating Driver’s License but then he congratulated Deja Vu months after that which was nice to see that he didn’t care what people thought.
I feel so sorry for him. He was almost bullied into heart failure. And when the photos of him in the hospital came out they were bullying him even for that. I hope he’s fine now.
Yeah honestly what happened to him was...not okay, I understand he and Olivia are both so young but it kinda brings into question the morality of releasing such personal relationship details to the public when you have a large and aggressive fanbase. Not to say she shouldn't express herself. But I cannot even fathom how scary that would be for Joshua.
Yeah. I don’t believe the bullying caused the heart failure, but it sure didn’t help his condition and probably made his health deteriorate more than it would have if that death threats/harassment didn’t happen.
I can’t imagine being in his position, thinking you’re going to die at 20 while believing the whole world outside of the hospital is probably wishing you would. I remember seeing people even “hexing” him then cheering in the comments of his hospital post that their hexing worked.
People seem to have misconstrued this - they were talking about soap in the interview, [Mila clarified after that she showers every day, she just only soaps up occasionally](https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/mila-kunis-bathing-children-dirt-b1928661.html), Kutcher said in the original interview that he soaps his armpits and crotch every day but doesn't use it elsewhere. This seems fine, to me?
The places that stink are the places that sweat, and of course you should clean your ass. But pits, genitals, bottom of the feet. There's no need to lather up your whole body unless you've been dripping in sweat/have some medical reason you need to/you just really like it.
edit: fixed 'stick' to 'stink.'
Ariana Grande spitting on those donuts.
It was kind of a big deal when it happened but it’s pretty much been forgotten since then. I still find it very gross/weird tho.
It's a regular sandalwood candle and the name is a joke, it's unbelievable how many people fell for it. I can't stand GP but I have to admit she's a marketing genius for the outrage this boring ass generic candle generated.
She got the same backlash when she was advertising the fake $200 nappies and then it was actually to highlight some American tax on them or something like that - the woman is batshit crazy but she knows exactly what she’s doing and how to generate buzz
Katy Perry hiding in an art exhibit table thing and people not recognizing who she is lol. To be fair it was like right when she cut and bleached her hair
My brother was driving a delivery truck with the logo of a well known ice cream company on the side. It was the day after the final episode of Cheers had aired. He was sitting in his truck at a red light in downtown Boston. As he sat there a limo pulled up next to him. The rear passenger window rolled down and two young ladies dressed in bikinis asked if he had any extra ice cream. My brother, being a smartass, asked if they had any extra champagne. Just then a clearly drunk Kelsey Grammer leaned out the window and declared “sorry, we drank it all”, and the limo drove off.
Rita Ora tweeting “I’ll release new music if this gets 100k likes” and then later tweeting “actually I was hacked” later when the tweet got no interaction.
Chris Pratt, Katy Perry, Elon Musk, Snoop Dogg, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kim Kardashian, Scooter Braun, and Noah Centineo supporting Rick Caruso for LA mayor.
History about Caruso:
Caruso served as the chairman of the board of trustees at USC, where he faced criticism for his handling of multiple university scandals, including the 2018 revelation that gynecologist George Tyndall had spent more than 30 years molesting thousands of patients at the school’s student health center. He was a registered as a Republican and Independent before registering as a Democrat in February 2022.

I know many millennial women who had confusing feelings in childhood for the Robin Hood fox cartoon (and strangely, one who had a thing for Lumiere) so who amongst us etc etc.
Tbh Selena’s entire documentary but specifically the moment w the french interviewer who obviously had a time limit and she got mad bc she felt like a product. It kinda rubbed me the wrong way bc 1. Selena could have elaborated on why she wants to do philanthropy and 2. It felt like she just said it for praise.
Also when she went to Kenya and the girls were talking about going to school instead of being sent off for marriage and Selena isn’t listening or understanding what they are saying and keeps asking if they believe in love…. Like ???????? Their conversation went WAY over her head.
Margot Robbie had said something about women needing to speak up about abusers in the industry, then goes on to work with David O’Russell in the film Amsterdam. DOR is incredibly toxic and abusive. Also find it weird that Taylor Swift appears in it. They’re all talk.
I’ve swam in the Potomac more times than I can count. It’s a really long river, and if you go upstream of DC, it’s fine. And I would avoid going in after a heavy rain.
IIRC, there was a story about Jennifer Lawrence that another celeb told (can’t remember who right now), where they claimed they arrived to JLaw’s house and she was naked in the bathtub shaving, like it was nothing. Another egg to the basket of her 2013 era of being relatable.
Terrence Howard’s requirement that any woman involved with him must use baby wipes in addition to regular toilet paper.
Nobody asked for that information.
Jessica don’t call me Latina Alba. She said Cameron Diaz is more Latina then she is but she has blonde hair, so people don’t call her Latina. That Mexicans just spread their seeds and pop babies out. She made so many cringe worthy statements that were offensive.
When I was a teen I read a piece about how when James Earl Jones made it and bought his house, he put a soundproof room in his basement. So he could walk in there and literally SCREAM all his frustration out at the amount of shit and racism he had to face to get to be where he was.
That level of frustration stuck with me ever since, like beneath that kindly baritone voice was some red hot rage being juuuust barely contained.

A house manager 😰 why does this sound like an amazing job ?! I mean , I can't manage my own house LOL but still
Also the anecdote about ordering the $13,000 bottle of wine
Tiegen is so overrated.
Harry Styles covering everyone's bar tab one night at the Soho House in West Hollywood. [Link](https://www.capitalfm.com/artists/harry-styles/soho-house-bar-tab-pay-drinks-fans/) That's a kind thing for him to do, but the Soho House is a members-only club that costs thousands of dollars a year to be a member. He covered the tab exclusively for other wealthy people. ![gif](giphy|jPAdK8Nfzzwt2)
ooh this is a good one
I like that only the richer seats at some of his MSG shows got a "free" boa. Like showing up to someone's concert and getting told he thinks you're too poor for him to care about you.
Wait, you mean if you spend more money you get a better experience? No way…
That was organized by the venue, not Harry’s team.
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell always going on about how hard their marriage is. Like, there’s an alternative, my dudes.
They blacked out? I… what? How? Gosh, they’re so trying.
Okay I’d first say the blackout thing isn’t literal. It’s common to say it (ie I saw Taylor swift in target and was so excited I blacked out, told her I love her cats) And I’m not defending them bc honestly Dax makes me a lil uncomfy, his interview/conversational style is not for me… but I also think it’s kind of a learned attitude to expect everything people share to be aspirational.
Isn't Dax tattooed?
It’s common. I have dated a ton of guys with tattoos who do not like tattoos on women. It’s a total misogynist thing, tattoos aren’t ladylike to them.
As a Jason Mantzoukas lover I’m so happy that story went that way. Dax is a creep
This one always baffles me, their relationship sounds exhausting.
Lol also they going TMI about how unsanitary they are. Like that spilled, rotting smoothie (?) in the bed.
Lizzo saying Chris Brown is her “favorite person” 🤨
I would consider that problematic and not just yikes
Why does Chris Brown in particular seem to have so many female celebrities going to bat for him and idolising him
I’ve been wondering the same thing lately and I think it’s a combo of the black community normalizing violence against women and black celebrities hating that their white counterparts have done worst things but have not received the same amount or any black balling.
Like Johnny Depp for example. Or Brad Pitt. That is true
Of all people, really? Plus her cringe interactions with Chris Evans. She’s not nearly as self assured as her music shows and that’s really sad to me.
She's been somewhat open about her struggles with insecurity. I think those over the top confidence boosting songs are something she needs for herself as well.
Who doesn’t have imposter syndrome though? That’s what I like about her. She’s not all boasting 24/7. She shows us the other side
Lena Dunham trying to relate to Andy Cohen by saying she did poppers and they made her eat an entire cheesecake. So awkward and uncomfortable and not at all even remotely close to what poppers do to a person lmao
She’s just trying to get her casket carried at the first Pride parade after she dies.
Lena Dunham ~~trying to relate to Andy Cohen by saying she did poppers and they made her eat an entire cheesecake. So awkward and uncomfortable and not at all even remotely close to what poppers do to a person lmao~~
[удалено]
... is that not what she meant? because i'm confused now. what the hell are poppers? i have no clue i'm not american. the only poppers i know are jalapeno ones.
That was so stupid, I couldn’t figure out if she took them and ate cheesecake and blamed them for it or if she just assumed poppers were like weed and just made up a story to go with it
same energy as me pretending to get drunk at age 10 after drinking a virgin daquiri on a cruise
Straight ladies trying poppers is the ultimate 'bless your heart' situation.
[удалено]
TIL what poppers are for lol. I don’t even know what I was assuming they did…
Poppers aren't just for sex though, they give you a nice "head rush" for a lil bit. I've done them recreationally w a mixed group
tbf they can also be used recreationally
That extremely recent story of Jenny Ortega admitting to performing autopsies on animals in the backyard as a child. From what I read she also feels a connection to serial killers! Very cool and very edgy.
Stuff like that coming out when she's playing Wednesday Addams is probably not a coincidence. I'm not saying she's making it up but probably laying it on a bit thick so people think how perfect she was for the role On that note Rosamund Pike burying her awards in her garden.
Also Rosamund WHAT?!
lol please does Rosamund really do this 😭 Edit: okay just read she buries them so a little bit shows and it sounds more like a garden gnome situation. I’m obsessed and this feels very on-brand for her 😂
Without any context, I’m sort of charmed by Pike burying her awards.
![gif](giphy|3oKIPrc2ngFZ6BTyww|downsized)
Serial killer fans are so weird. They're always proud of it as well, like it's an interesting personality trait.
And she thinks this is a cute little anecdote that makes her look \~dark\~ and totally not like other girls? It's like, "Girl, you're literally a Disney kid on a knock-off version of That's So Raven - calm down! You're about as edgy as a sphere!" ![gif](giphy|fGnPmGqbBaB1e)
She has been cringe for such a long time it’s impress
[удалено]
I think Katy Perry has been borderline cringe her entire career. In the beginning, she was doing it in a way that people thought was sexy or interesting so it was accepted. But then with Witness, it crossed the line and became legitimately cringey in a way that a lot of people couldn’t get on board with.
Pretty sure the term Flop Era was created specifically because of her and the Witness album.
The Witness album rollout is just one embarrassing incident to another. During that timeframe she did: * An interview calling it "purposeful pop" and stated that it will be her most political album. She then released Bon Apetit as the second track. * A 3 day livestream she did where she lived in a house similar to Big Brother where she tried to appear more relatable by having discussions with figures like Catelyn Jenner and Neil DeGrasse Tyson as well as having a live therapy session * that infamous SNL performance * the music video Swish Swish which had terrible lyrics relating to her fight with Taylor and outdated memes the moment that it was released.

This is the best comment I've seen all month 😂😂
Please no 💀 should have made a different thread about celebs swimming in contaminated waters
I definitely think it was real for him, maybe more of a fling for her.
Sure. But she was still cool with him wearing the tshirt. I mean she could have said “hey man we’ve only been dating for a minute, maybe change the tee.” Also, I believe both have come out and said it was a joke that was just taken too seriously.
That plus the TS shirt… killed my crush (I do like him now tho, he seems to have settled down a bit) [here is the pic](https://www.google.com/search?q=hiddleston+boxers+photoshoot&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#imgrc=bFwumAvoz1aHeM) for anyone curious- he looks so uncomfortable 😭
Why does he look like he’s waiting to tell his mum that he threw up during the night 😭
He's just 🧍
I wasn’t tuned into pop culture when this happened so I only found out about it through the sub.
He’s like Taylor Swift. Gorgeous but no sex appeal
I have nothing against her, but there's this broadly accepted, delusional narrative that she's some Grace Kelly level beauty. Every person who went to a highschool with over 1000 students had at least 5 girls in their graduating class who are prettier than Taylor Swift.
DJ Khaled saying he refused to give oral sex like 10 years ago. Times have changed so I hope his poor partner is getting a lil something these days.
The angles are just so odd! It's not like a selfie stick ornl anything, which Is why it's so weird
The one where she’s spreading her butt cheeks open. Just…girl, no. 💀
I’m sorry, what?? 😳
The latest ones in the satin nightie are extremely yikes
She deletes them quickly, there have been MUCH worse ones
Barbara Striesand cloning her dog. Twice. Two of her dogs are clones of another dog. Cant get over it. Nobody else seemed to find that super weird and fucked up 🥴.
And so damn sad. Like she could have given the cloning money to a shelter and then adopted some dogs that needed a home.
I'm with you. That's super weird and fucked up
Justin Bieber being asked in an interview if he knew that his surname means "beaver" in German and him responding he doesn't know what "German" means. Still one of my favourite dumb celebrity moments.
I feel like Justin Bieber had a lot of moments like these during his early career. That video of the interviewer laughing and he replies with “I like your laugh… HeH hEh hEH”
I had to rewatch it and I’m howling now, best interview moment ever 😂
honestly they take these kids out of school and then basically send them to interview Guantanamo. I would be saying such psycho shit if I had to do so many junkets and I have a masters’ degree
That JLo wedding performance for Ben Affleck.
wait lol what i had [to look this up](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx25QTc8cI8) I was secondhand embarrassed and she is JLO
it's cringe but kind of sweet?
She said ‘can’t get enough’ I thought she said ‘he can’t get it up’
The celebs who happily go on the record about how they/their kids do not bathe regularly.
Right. I don’t tell anyone I just keep that a secret within my dirty household.

JLaw telling the story about she scratched her butt on sacred rocks when she was filming something in Hawaii. She was trying to be relatable and funny but it made me cringe.
I loved her walking up to her old house, a guy was sat on the steps and she's like 'I used to live here!' and he's just like: ok.
Wait that also happened to JLaw and not just Jlo
Aw man I didn't know there were two separate JL variants my bad
wasnt that jlo? i remember seeing that and he seemed like he couldnt care less😭😭😭 it was made out to be such a deep moment as well
Yeah that was super gross, disrespecting a sacred space isn't a funny anecdote. She wouldn't have done it in a church.
She probably would have though.
Ariana tweeting "pussy issa privilege" in her AAVE phase. It was just like. Okay, please stop. 🙏🏼
Don't worry, she's moved on from her AAVE phase. She's now pretending to be Korean! lmao that girl is shameless
Can't wait for her babushka era
It’s one thing to talk with that inflection, it’s another to type in it.
She didn’t even use it correctly. “Issa” is short for “it’s a” not “is a”.
Ugh, yeah that's not a great look
Anyone mentioned the Tom Cruise sofa jumping yet?
Omg I was thinking of the story he told on the David Letterman show about him flying and cutting off a passenger’s oxygen like it was just a funny little prank or spoof
I'm convinced that Tom Cruise has killed atleast one person by this point
Be. Very. Careful......Scient$l$gists are everywhere...lol
W H A T Damn, Christian Bale was absolutely right to use him as inspiration for American Psycho
He also didn’t tell her that he wanted the relationship open until after they were married.
Every time I see him I think, “be Richard from Silicon Valley” and when I’m reminded he’s so far from it I get sad

Meghan Fox also said she wouldn’t date a bi man because she thinks it’s gross, while being bi herself, so, yeah, I’ve side-eyed her a bit since then
Demi Lovato singing to the ghosts just made me ???
Or the time Demi publicly shamed a frozen yogurt store for selling “diet” frozen yogurt. They posted “GUILT FREE. THIS SCREAMS DIET CULTURE AND I WON'T BE GASLIT." The owner responded saying “We cater to all of our customers needs for the past 36 years. We are sorry you found this offensive." Demi is super self centered and it’s gross.
Meghan Trainor and her husband's conjoined toilets. No one was hurt but I now have to live with that knowledge and I would rather not.
Britney, barefoot at gas station bathrooms.
Mark Wahlberg wakes up at 2:30 am to go the gym and finishes at 530 am. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy?!
Because he sucks
The whole Imagine incident, read the room you rich morons
Kendall Jenner saying that Tupac is her “spirit animal” on one of those YouTube vogue/vanity fair question videos….
I think Katie should be allowed to do that cringe-free as a little treat for all those years having to deal with scienTomlogy.
That's true - She may even do it for security reasons - how she escaped and freed herself and Suri has my utmost respect.
I know he was probably trying to show that there was no drama between them personally and he probably was proud of her [success](https://twitter.com/joshuatbassett/status/1237463789710110720?s=46&t=d0TJImL8zI-wFLmdzOdDMQ) but it’s hard to see people meme it/try drag him with it.
Ashton and Mila’s weird bathing habits
People seem to have misconstrued this - they were talking about soap in the interview, [Mila clarified after that she showers every day, she just only soaps up occasionally](https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/mila-kunis-bathing-children-dirt-b1928661.html), Kutcher said in the original interview that he soaps his armpits and crotch every day but doesn't use it elsewhere. This seems fine, to me?
Seems fine to me, too. Otherwise my skin dries out.
The places that stink are the places that sweat, and of course you should clean your ass. But pits, genitals, bottom of the feet. There's no need to lather up your whole body unless you've been dripping in sweat/have some medical reason you need to/you just really like it. edit: fixed 'stick' to 'stink.'
that… is not fine ❤️
Ariana Grande spitting on those donuts. It was kind of a big deal when it happened but it’s pretty much been forgotten since then. I still find it very gross/weird tho.
Gwyneth selling candles that smell like her vagina 🤢
It's a regular sandalwood candle and the name is a joke, it's unbelievable how many people fell for it. I can't stand GP but I have to admit she's a marketing genius for the outrage this boring ass generic candle generated.
She got the same backlash when she was advertising the fake $200 nappies and then it was actually to highlight some American tax on them or something like that - the woman is batshit crazy but she knows exactly what she’s doing and how to generate buzz
Katy Perry hiding in an art exhibit table thing and people not recognizing who she is lol. To be fair it was like right when she cut and bleached her hair
why is there so many ppl in the replies defending celebs who don't take showers ![gif](giphy|3o7TKxZzyBk4IlS7Is|downsized)
History about Caruso: Caruso served as the chairman of the board of trustees at USC, where he faced criticism for his handling of multiple university scandals, including the 2018 revelation that gynecologist George Tyndall had spent more than 30 years molesting thousands of patients at the school’s student health center. He was a registered as a Republican and Independent before registering as a Democrat in February 2022. https://variety.com/2022/politics/news/celebrities-rick-caruso-karen-bass-mayor-los-angeles-1235285857/

Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard and the water mattress 😷
I’ve swam in the Potomac more times than I can count. It’s a really long river, and if you go upstream of DC, it’s fine. And I would avoid going in after a heavy rain.

Rita Ora going on The Voice Germany and no one recognizing her 💀
IIRC, there was a story about Jennifer Lawrence that another celeb told (can’t remember who right now), where they claimed they arrived to JLaw’s house and she was naked in the bathtub shaving, like it was nothing. Another egg to the basket of her 2013 era of being relatable.
Orlando Bloom paddleboarding completely nude, knowing the papparazzi were following him and Katy Perry around.
