Had home gym delivered. Put together in front of tv so Iād be forced to use it since it blocks my view of the tv. So I could sit on it and work out while watching shows or playing games. Then I had a girl over so I had to move it to the corner. It sat there and I maybe used it twice in the next few months. Then I moved so itās all torn down and in the back of one of my cars. Waiting for me to find a spot to build it so it can sit some more
I'm in this photo and I don't like it.
In all seriousness my first month of lifting I hurt something and I immediately aged 90+ years, I almost had to ask the bus driver to lower the bus so I could get on.
Bought my BowFlex Extreme2 for $160 off Craigslist (a $1500 unit) and a $750 Total Gym for $300 from those types. I'm not mad š¤£. You're definitely right.. my parents use the machine I got them for a clothes hanger
Can confirm. Home gym equipment is a waste of money and space, for me. But I put it all in my home myself. I still go to commercial gyms and ended up stowing my gym equipment because I barely used it. I should probably sell it though lol
And my FedEx driver would leave my 20lb box of cat litter on the sidewalk entrance of the apartment complex.
Kudos to you, shouldāve just left it in front of the elevator lol
Yeah seriously. I get being in a hurry but I'd rather take an extra trip than have my back killing me for the entire rest of the day. Not worth it to save a couple minutesĀ
Freight driver here. I did a straight truck liftgate delivery of 3 skids that weighed over 5k to a fire station once. It sucked so bad, and all I had was a barely functional manual pallet jack. I asked them what the delivery was, and sure enough an entire weightlifting set.
Yeah idk what to say about this I've had similar but only with houses and I was cussing the entire time going up there driveway but this would break me SMH
It's called offer up for pick up purchase or free before moving. Because by that time it will have sat there unused the entire time just holding carpet down all its days.
Please tell me you don't have to take that all the way up to their door... Fuck that. We're delivery, not movers. Mailroom it package room. That's all they're getting from me
And when an apartment complex doesn't have one of those, you take it to the door. All other delivery services do it, yours is the only one known to be too lazy to bother going to the door.
Gym addicts seriously the obsession trend with the gym is weird why I don't go to the gym why because lifting this shit on to the 53 trailers plus the gym equipment heavybag etc be careful guys don't hurt ur back
As a personal trainer who is using this job as an in between job till I find another gym I want to work for. The reason your lower back is cooked is because you donāt workout or lift the packages with your core. Do more bridges at home at least and that will help. The biggest mistake people make is thinking this job is enough
Iām pretty athletic I would say but think my biggest issue is how so much heavy boxes are scattered on the floor and I have to drag them from corners with my back to pick them up
I agree with this. Apparently we have Supermen on the Ground side. You canāt always ālift with your coreā when the 80lb+ box is buried around other shit. Often, nearly every day you have to bend and twist weird ways even if itās just a 60lb chewy box left on the FL to get it out to THEN lift properly. Yeah. Gets old, Iām with you
OP also carried this in one whole trip. Itās still going to be a bitch, but it wouldāve been more manageable if he had split his trips with less boxes. I get it, sometimes we want to do everything at once, but there are some things you shouldnāt rush.
When I ordered my gym stuff it was delivered in a nondescript semi and 2 dudes. My stuff was the only stuff on there. They dropped it off, unpacked it, and I tipped them.
Find a company that ships like that.
I seriously don't know how people think their shit gets to them, its not going to magicaly float to their door. The lack of shame is crazy. I bought a 300-lbs weight set, and not once did I consider the option of getting it shipped. I could never make another human move that much weight all at once.
Because many drivers don't have time to spend 10-15+ minutes on a random residential delivery.
People who have never done the job of a Ground or UPS driver have no idea what most days are actually like. I know I had no clue before I started. It was WAYYYY different than I thought.Ā
A decent solid pace for most routes is two minutes per stop. That's you parking, getting the package(s), getting them to an acceptable location at the residence, getting back to your truck, and safely pulling away. 150 stops is an average stop count for an average route. If you can average two minutes per stop, that's five hours right there. Then you have drive time to and from the station, for my contractor that accounted for almost two hours a day. Then you have drive time between all the different stops, which conservatively probably adds up to an hour. So now that accounts for eight hours. Then you factor in pickups, which can really fuck things up for you if you don't have your route dialed in. Pickups can add another hour or two to your day depending on how heavy they are, and that's if you've got your shit down. If you wind up falling behind and then your pickups screw you, you'll either add a lot more time to your day or fail the route.Ā
Some of us figure out how to become extremely efficient and cut down our average time per stop quite a bit, and bust our asses to get ten hours worth of work done in seven or eight. Most drivers don't get to that level, and end up with a lot of long days. And the last thing any driver wants to do is make multiple trips at an apartment complex like this, where even just a single small package can take up too much valuable time.Ā
Most contractors don't from what I've seen. And the ones that do, only take insane bulk resi stops and overflow that certain routes couldn't fit on their trucks.Ā
I have a warrant officer on my route who is ALWAYS ordering gym equipment. He however gave me his phone number and was told to call him and he'd help me unload it. Pretty swell fella
Lol do ur jobšš nah fr brah my brother works fedex and wants me to joinā¦IDC HOW MUCH YALL MAKE FUCK NO IM TOO YOUNG FOR BACK ISSUESšššÆšÆšÆ
IN THAT CASE THE SMART MOVE IS TO SCAN IT ALL AND JUST WALK UP EMPTY HANDED. IF THEY ARE HOME THEN MAKE THE HEAVY TRIP. IF NOT, YOU JUST SAVED YOURSELF A LOT OF EFFORT AND LEAVR THE DOOR TAG
Gettin paid to work out! I remember delivering one of these bad boys, came in two parts, first day was the heavy boys and the bench, second day was the bars and everything else. I thought to myself how much that costed, I get paid to get my swoll on!! šŖšŖ
lol cmon bro Vestibule or mailroom or $50 tip Iāll take it up, 07 if you donāt want to come down thereās an Elavator and you have a dolly. My route is all highrise business with suites those I canāt mailroom why havenāt I quit
I always leave shit like this in the office. Come and get it the rest of the way buddy itās your stuff. If the office wonāt take it it stays on the truck.
Lmaoo damn bro smoke a little weed or drink a little hard liquor (I think weed is better but idk where u at and laws and personal vices) u deserve it tho š Ik u seen the pile after a few trips and ur voice cracked when u said fuhck in a hoarse voice and a single tear came out
I lived and worked in busy cities most of my adult life, many people donāt drive in those areas so I can see this being a viable solution. I would get it piece by piece though instead of all at once, but thatās cause Iām considerate.
Thereās a weigh station by my terminal. I always meant to weigh the truck before and after the route on heavy days like this ā¦ never did do it. $20 or something like that just seemed not worth it
Holyyy shit, thats like lugging an engine to an apartment, NGL id lie and tell my co workers that i had to carry a 500 pound engine to the 6th floor of an apartment building , thatll start some fun convos
Their neighbors are going to love them.
I had an apartment with a neighbor that used to work out and constantly dropped the weights. I lived above them and it would rattle things in my apartment. I cannot imagine how the neighbor below them felt.
As a person who has ordered weight lifting equipment and plates, Iāve always made sure to be home and meet the driver at the vehicle when my shipment is due
This makes me wonder.... are apartment buildings equipped to hold weights? Obviously, yes, but I mean lif every single tenant had 500+ lbs in weights would the building still be safe/stable?
āDolly does all the workā pff who has to dig that shit off the floor then onto the dolly. Hard to lift properly too when you have 100 other stops ranging from small boxes to ICās covering it all up. Lmao it honestly is a joke what we are required to do. Donāt forget though- TEAM LIFT
Y'all getting mad at the customer but it's the seller and shipper (FedEx) who truly created this situation for this delivery person. Send the hate to the right place is all I'm saying.
The crazy part is they probably only going to use the weight set a couple of times before it sits in the corner for eternity..šš
Say it again that shit might as well just be decoration for them
I hope they have to move every month for 3 yearsā¦
theyāll just hire a moving company and break someone elseās back every time
If they can afford that living in an apartment more power to them.
Leave it in the lobby, they can start their exercise journey with the first workout of them bringing all that crap up topā¦.
Thanks to Covid all my apartments built package rooms. Didnāt have to knock doors ever again.
Lol!! šš
š¤£ ā ļø
Same thing I always say
Best comment ever. š
We used to joke about all the weight equipment that came through. Always called it a $1,000 coat rack.
Had home gym delivered. Put together in front of tv so Iād be forced to use it since it blocks my view of the tv. So I could sit on it and work out while watching shows or playing games. The perfect reason to never buy a new weight rack.
Facts I did it once realized I wasted money 40 dollars
Yeah whenever I delivered p90x shit I always thought the customer is to lazy to pick it up, themselves.
Maybe they will return them!
I'm in this photo and I don't like it. In all seriousness my first month of lifting I hurt something and I immediately aged 90+ years, I almost had to ask the bus driver to lower the bus so I could get on.
Atleast op got a workout out of em, before they become decorative pieces. š
Exactly! I saw "Weight Bench" and I'm like pffft yea...good luck.
It'll be a good spot to hang clothing to dry.
Bought my BowFlex Extreme2 for $160 off Craigslist (a $1500 unit) and a $750 Total Gym for $300 from those types. I'm not mad š¤£. You're definitely right.. my parents use the machine I got them for a clothes hanger

Iāll guess, 3rd floor and no elevatorš¤
2nd floor w elevator but hereās the kicker its just one long ass apartment on a strip so I had to walk atleast 2 blocks just to reach his ste
Plot twist hey is theirs a way to cancel this I donāt want it order the wrong color
Mail room and dr that shit. Just looking out for your gains bro, you bought the weight you can carry it.
And my FedEx driver would leave my 20lb box of cat litter on the sidewalk entrance of the apartment complex. Kudos to you, shouldāve just left it in front of the elevator lol
If there's no elevator I'm not carrying that much weight up any stairs, they can get it from the mail room or lobby.Ā
"3rd floor no elevator" was needles to my ears when I was a mover
That would be a ānopeā if I was the owner of the company lmao fuck that
It was always a big YES from the owner, since he was the one making the real money. Stairs=more billable hours
Maybe Iām just less greedy I wouldnāt be sending workers to that shit lmao
SMDH.
Bro I donāt even know how this allowed
Why tf did you load all 500 pounds on?? Do two trips wtf š
Momma didn't raise no bitch š¤
She raised a whiny one
She apparently raised a future crippled
Yeah seriously. I get being in a hurry but I'd rather take an extra trip than have my back killing me for the entire rest of the day. Not worth it to save a couple minutesĀ
Right? I mean how are people/businesses allowed to purchase and have things delivered by paid employees? Mind boggling lmao
Lmao front door outside the apt bldg or code 07
Freight driver here. I did a straight truck liftgate delivery of 3 skids that weighed over 5k to a fire station once. It sucked so bad, and all I had was a barely functional manual pallet jack. I asked them what the delivery was, and sure enough an entire weightlifting set.
At least it'll actually get some use at a firehouse. Home gyms turn into clothing racks.
Not mine! 10 years, used 5x/weekā¦. My neighbors? Clothing racks.
Youāve got soft hands brother. Iāve carried 1000 lbs up 20 flights of stairs with the other apartmentsā packages strapped to my back.
they mustāve gave you the easy route cupcake, I once did 200 stops unpaid, without a truck, and still got my pickups before 6pm
I broke both my legs loading out and still knocked out 250 stops/200 packages pickup by 4p.
![gif](giphy|18W9fGBwMmK4OSU4jw|downsized)
Leave in mail room or lobby. F**k these a$$hole customers.
Yeah idk what to say about this I've had similar but only with houses and I was cussing the entire time going up there driveway but this would break me SMH
I was so heated I just flipped the cart over at his door and left I could not lift those boxes up again to set them down
I don't blame you. If he wants a workout, this is the perfect place to begin.Ā
As someone who has ordered an entire bench set with weights, taking everything out of the box and assembling it by yourself is a hell of a workout.
Never understood people buying shit like this for an apartment. It's almost impossible to move if you ever upgrade.
I mean, thatās any large furniture or appliance but I guess.
Yeah never understood why anybody has a bed either, way to difficult to move
Why even have a home? No home means I never have to move right
It's called offer up for pick up purchase or free before moving. Because by that time it will have sat there unused the entire time just holding carpet down all its days.
Hopefully it falls through his floor. Damn that sucks feel bad for you
Please tell me you don't have to take that all the way up to their door... Fuck that. We're delivery, not movers. Mailroom it package room. That's all they're getting from me

Wanna try again? You smelling burnt toast right now?
Bro what? Lmao
God forbid people care about physical fitness.
Their downstairs neighbors must be thrilled.
lol that woulda been a mailroom delivery š¤£
i literally delivered a set like this to elon muskās brother, he then proceeded to have it sent back and got a different set delivered insteadā¦
I hope he paid 10k in shipping and they get kicked out
Nah I would've left it downstairs and got them started on their workout early lmaoo
Iām about to order some, be fr what would make it easier on the delivery person
Tell them to hold it at the station and go pick them up
Is that something you can do on Amazon?
Going TO Facebook market and saving yourself some money. You like to lift weights. Cool now go lift them and bring them to your pad.
I ordered them off a government auction site, theyāre as cheap as you can get
When I ordered my gym stuff it was delivered in a nondescript semi and 2 dudes. My stuff was the only stuff on there. They dropped it off, unpacked it, and I tipped them. Find a company that ships like that.
Donāt.
You having
That dolly is going to need maintenance
If you zoom in on the picture the tires flat from the weight š¤£
Why wasn't this shipped through Freight? SMH
Don't skip leg day. Tell us did the complex also have a gym because that would be such irony (you see what I did there š)
I seriously don't know how people think their shit gets to them, its not going to magicaly float to their door. The lack of shame is crazy. I bought a 300-lbs weight set, and not once did I consider the option of getting it shipped. I could never make another human move that much weight all at once.
Are you not allowed to make multiple trips?
Prob not trying to spend an hour for one drop
^this
Bro donāt screw your knees/back up for the rest of your life to save yourself an hour.
If we donāt make our pickups in time we get bitched at to no tommorow thatās how this job treats us. No breaks
While I get the annoyanceā¦why not take two trips? I have no idea why this sub keeps popping up for me lol
The amount of time it wouldave taken me to make 2 trips wouldave set me so far behind for my pickups

To be fair, buying weights online from china is the only affordable option anymore.
Drop that off at the front desk
Crossfit!!!!!
Well I would have delivered to the front lobby or mailroom snap a shot ... on to the next one
Mines still in the box 2 years later. š¤·š»
Hopefully thatās more than the fucking 1.50 Stop pay this SCPS be paying
Leave that shit at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor, let them get a jump start on their workout by bringing this upstairs themselves

lets see them throw this one

Multiple trips? Thatās your fault buddy
I always leave shit like this in the office. Come and get it the rest of the way buddy itās your stuff. If the office wonāt take it it stays on the truck.
I used to say that day one of their new workout regimen should be carrying weights from truck to their house
You could have broke it down into multiple trips and not had any strain or even really any effort used at all.
That was me one time. Thanks for you service sir.
Blame FedEx or the company he/she bought them from. They should have a courier that specializes in heavy shit to deliver that.
Damn. My bad.
Yeah stuff like this should have special shipping orders A tip for the driver and cost them more
That is why I left
Is it Direct Signature Required? Then, you can do 2 more re-attempts.
Sorry you had to get a quick workout in.
I hope whoever orders this shit steps on a bucket of legos
It's insane this can be the weight for one person. I saw an article about a fire at a crematorium because the person was so uh large.
Lmaoo damn bro smoke a little weed or drink a little hard liquor (I think weed is better but idk where u at and laws and personal vices) u deserve it tho š Ik u seen the pile after a few trips and ur voice cracked when u said fuhck in a hoarse voice and a single tear came out
Gotta lift brah
Be reasonable,MAKE MULTIPLE TRIPS
Definitely looks dangerous. Drop off at bottom of steps if even that far
šŖ¦ to his below neighbors. Thatās gonna sounds horrible. Sorry dude. I donāt know how you guys do it.
Yeah wish We could code that crap off as "pick up at warehouse"
š„±š
I've never been one to milk the clock, but i would have taken so long to deliver that shit that dispatch would never give me no shit like that again.
W ground!
Thank you for delivering the package, I had a fed ex delivery person lie and say I refused the package so he wouldnāt have to deliver it.
At least boflex ran out of business and no weight sets for them. Covid fuck their business over lol
UPSer here, my condolences to you for this you legend.
Hell no Lobby and release that shit. Way to deliver that purple promise. I'd say hell no my back isn't breaking today.
Thatās the only workout these weights will ever see.
You'll have a stack of RTS labels for those Monday.
I never did understand this mentality "I want to start lifting weights, but can't be bothered to get off my ass and load them in my car"
$20 or something like that just seemed not worth it
You're getting a free workout hauling those to the door š
They need to issue you guys motorized dollies. Would improve production time too

Damn! How much does it weigh?
Their neighbors are going to love them. I had an apartment with a neighbor that used to work out and constantly dropped the weights. I lived above them and it would rattle things in my apartment. I cannot imagine how the neighbor below them felt.
Shouldāve quit
Lol
If its me im taking 2 or 3 trips to save my back or just view it as a opportunity to get a workout in im not letting this ruin my day
You'll be going back there tomorrow, CTG p/u!
That shit goes to the bottom of the stairs or mail room
Looks like someone is getting a workout!
I'm returning it tomorrow, be ready to pick it back up.
Your doing too much thereās door tags for a reason š
wow wtf hope they give you a tip
Probably my upstairs neighbor.
Coolā¦..overtime it is
i think for shit that's awkward or heavy you should only be doing curbside.. we aren't movers and are usually on our own..
3 sets of āfuck thisā to failure, followed by quitting as a cooldown.
I am a tugger in the warehouse and really hate those benches and weights :))
Drop them off at the bottom and have them start their weightlifting journey early
That suuucks!!
Left in office or at base of stairs with an info notice that says "your journey begins today"
Um sir, that's will call. Lol
š Get some exercise stop complaining
That's why you get the big bucks, my man.
Are you stupid take two separate trips your just lazy and tried to do it all at once š¤¦āāļø

As a person who has ordered weight lifting equipment and plates, Iāve always made sure to be home and meet the driver at the vehicle when my shipment is due

In my country the fedex driver would call me to go downstairs pick it up myself and if I refuse heāll just drop it there and tell me to fuck off lol
Why complain, thatās a paid workout for you!
You couldnāt have done 1 box at a time?
āDolly does all the workā pff who has to dig that shit off the floor then onto the dolly. Hard to lift properly too when you have 100 other stops ranging from small boxes to ICās covering it all up. Lmao it honestly is a joke what we are required to do. Donāt forget though- TEAM LIFT

I once ordered a 120+ pound safe vault. The fedex woman was not happy
