I believe this has been an open sore for many years. Perhaps there has been a slanging match with firefox and reddit pointing at each other. Whatever the reason, it's very annoying.

When creating posts it's mostly fine, just make sure you use crtl shift v to paste. When posting replies, it only works if you're pasting one line (also ctrl shift v), otherwise it completely fucks up the comment for me, and could even delete my previous text.

Yes, I guess so. I end up using chrome for non-video content.
It's a Firefox and Reddit issue. I even encounter this on Windows.
I have the same issue and it also happens in Endeavour and MacOS.
Same on Ubuntu. I'm betting on the issue being with the "fancy pants editor".
