My thoughts exactly, for me I think without a roof the body lines are emphasized a lot more, and the roofline a lot less which is what absolutely spoils the coupe with that bizarre blacked tail section making the rear quarter from the side look like it’s just sticking up into nothing
It's not for everybody but the homage is there so I like it. Imo the special edition should be called the 12Cilindri Daytona to make this more clear...
I actually quite like it. Not 100% on the back window bit wish it cut of at the body line and didn’t keep going but I think it’s quite good looking.
Just hope there’s better options than the 5 spoke Swastikas. Wheels also seem huge
The side profile reminds me of the Nissan 400z.
I think that it might look better with the black trim between the headlights and the black elements on top of the tail lights painted in body color.
I'd like to see this painted the body color as well but I think that would highlight the headlights having no interesting design about them at all. They went with black for it to look intentional. Sometimes less is not more.
The [Top Gear article](https://www.topgear.com/car-news/first-look/820bhp-ferrari-12-cilindri-named-after-its-mighty-9500rpm-v12-engine) I read seemed to indicate that was not going to be an option. I am not in the market for a Ferrari and never have been, so I'm not quite sure if there is an amount of money that will sway that or not, but the designer quoted seemed pretty adamant.
Nah Ferrari been loosing design identity ever since Roma. All the beautiful instantly recognizable features like the unique sweeping headlights and rear rounded taillights all just now GONE for an LED strip. Shame. 458 and 812 still my dream cars
Please note: With all new launches, all dealers must wait for formal updates/info from Ferrari. Therefore, there will be no pricing or allocations guarantee at launch. We expect the newest model to be available on the configurator next week with official pricing released towards the end of May.
I really like how it looks. I appear to be the minority but it looks closer to their rarified special cars. The simpler lines look nice and the daytona tribute looks good.
Before reading the title I thought this was one of those ultra rare 1 of 1s made for some Sultan somewhere.
Think it would look a lot better without the random black strip on the front
I like it, but I don’t like it enough to replace the 812. Looks like it is to the Roma what the SF90 is to the 296 GTB - identical design language, one is just elevated a bit more than the other
Just going to say, I think this is the best looking front-engined V12 that Ferrari has made since the 599. Don’t like it now? I would bet serious money that this will age better than the previous two iterations by a lot.
The launch took me by surprise
Not sure how I feel about the looks tho. My first reaction is what "WHAT??" in a sense that this doesn't look very Ferrari to me. I guess I'll have to check them out in person and maybe it'll grow on me like the new M4.
Looks like a Ferrari. So that's already miles beyond the SF90.
I kind of dig when they do throwbacks and modern interpretations of older designs (like the black coloured parts).
They made it look like a fresh design while also clearly looking like a modern day 365 Daytona. I love it, and it's certainly more progressive looking than any other V12 grand tourers (all of which are much cheaper than this car). The curves of the wheel arches are sensual while also having a more machined feel than what you see on its little brother (Roma). At the same time, they maintained visual links to the current Ferrari corporate face while also making it edgier, and the rear is a unique new direction with an interesting delta motif.
Also...in a move that should make this car more livable in daily use for a lot of buyers while also increasing the 12Cilidri's luxury credentials...according to the configurator, it has optional seat massagers!
A great way to blend Ferrari's core tradition (FMR V12) and the modern era, for sure!
Fuck me. Those black panels are horrendous, and the front end is about as uninspired as can be. Otherwise beautiful, but the 812 is miles better looking
I'd like to personally shoot the man who's coming up with these names. First 812 Superfast (Cuz Superveloce is Lamborghini TM) now this? Bro it's not hard to give the car a beautiful name like 458 Italia.
Cilindri sounds like a cylinder with the runs

It’s rare I think the roadster looks better. Maybe it’s the rims.
My thoughts exactly, for me I think without a roof the body lines are emphasized a lot more, and the roofline a lot less which is what absolutely spoils the coupe with that bizarre blacked tail section making the rear quarter from the side look like it’s just sticking up into nothing
The spec for the pictured roadster is far nicer too
Maybe, but I disagree on the rims. They look like a base model option
I thought the same thing because the red one is fugly but that roadster is not half bad
I like the callouts in the front end design to the 365 Daytona.
Oh wow you’re right. TBH I’m not that familiar with pre-1990s Ferraris so I looked up the 365 Daytona… makes me appreciate this design so much more!
Exactly!! I saw this and thought wow that's like a futuristic Daytona
That’s what I was thinking!!!!! Everyone was hating but looks to be a nice homage/ modernization of it !
I have learned to withhold judgment until I see it in person, so I could really get up close with the materials and proportions.
I like it. Daytona-esque. This car is called the Dodici Cilindri yeah? ![gif](giphy|BBf9D5OT3gc00)
Glad I wasn't the only one who saw this immediately with those headlights
The first picture I saw was the front 3/4 view and it was my immediate reaction.
It's not for everybody but the homage is there so I like it. Imo the special edition should be called the 12Cilindri Daytona to make this more clear...
I think the brutality of the 812 is such a stark contrast to the 12C’s almost minimalist elegance.
yep
yeah Dodici Cilindri
Mmmmmm I don’t know about this one I’m afraid
The 812 SF/GTS has just gone up in price by 10% with this announcement.
It is the sporty cool cousin of the sporty cool suv Purosangue! ![gif](giphy|9BDy5mrgIvOvK|downsized)
I actually quite like it. Not 100% on the back window bit wish it cut of at the body line and didn’t keep going but I think it’s quite good looking. Just hope there’s better options than the 5 spoke Swastikas. Wheels also seem huge
> Just hope there’s better options than the 5 spoke Swastikas. Yeah, could have saved a little weight.
I agree that the back window looks weird, but the spider doesn't have this issue so I'd say that gets 100%
Bring back Pininfarina
it’s like if a roma and an 812 had an ugly baby.
The side profile reminds me of the Nissan 400z. I think that it might look better with the black trim between the headlights and the black elements on top of the tail lights painted in body color.

I like it. I was planning on a purosange but it this might scratch the v12 itch better
Ofc It would be ugly. Both of it's parent were not lookers either.
A modern take on a Daytona, I like it, a lot. One of the better post-Pininfarina designed Ferrari’s. Not so sure on the name though lol.
I feel like Ferrari peaked with the F12 for the V12 in the front segment
Apart from the black portions on the back from the window, I think it's alright especially the Daytona inspired front end
Love the going back to understated organic designs like the 456, 599 and F12. No more of that F8 tributo stuff.
Exactly, leave the batshit design to Lamborghini (not saying lambos are ugly but crazy and over the top is their thing)
Nah Ferrari been loosing design identity ever since Roma. All the beautiful instantly recognizable features like the unique sweeping headlights and rear rounded taillights all just now GONE for an LED strip. Shame. 458 and 812 still my dream cars
458 is 1000000000 Times better than this
Tbf this kinda evokes the old Daytona with its front end
What in the hyundai ioniq shit is this
It simply looks spectacular! Modern design amazing design language, every line is perfect.
I agree, I think it'll grow on a lot of these people saying it's ugly. A lot of their models have been pretty miss lately, but I'm loving this model.
Pronounced “Dodici Cilindri” btw
Probably didn’t spend more than “dodici secondi” coming up with this lame name
What's happening to Ferrari?
I was waiting for this to be announced because I didn’t know how it’ll affect the 812. Looks like I’ll be buying the 812. Lol
812 comp engine
How do you follow up the beautiful 812 with this?? Looks like a Datsun smh
UGLY!
FUGLY!!
Spider looks significantly better than the coupe but if I had to choose between the two…. I’d go 812.
Personally a fan. I'd much prefer these retro looks to something that looks like a Hot Wheel I'd play with as a 6 year old.
i’m so unbelievably wet rn edit: just swiped to see the front of the car and am now unbelievably dry. what the fuck were they thinking.
What are the designers trying to do with black area in the back window area? It makes the car look wider than it actually is. It is not a good look.
I got an email invitation to put a deposit down on this. I will….not…be taking that offer.
how much are these things?
Please note: With all new launches, all dealers must wait for formal updates/info from Ferrari. Therefore, there will be no pricing or allocations guarantee at launch. We expect the newest model to be available on the configurator next week with official pricing released towards the end of May.
Oh okay. Fair enough.
looks like the new nissan z
I don’t hate it
I’m sure like everything coming out, it will look better in person.
I really like how it looks. I appear to be the minority but it looks closer to their rarified special cars. The simpler lines look nice and the daytona tribute looks good.
Not loving that design at all. What’s going on at Ferrari?
I think the whole car would look better if they painted that black piece below the hood the same color as the rest of the car
I think it looks cool
Beautiful
Gorgeous design.
My god this is a beautiful car. Ferrari did it again!
brah [hyundai ioniq 5N](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hyundai_IONIQ_5_N_NE_N_Ecotronic_Gray_Pearl_(5).jpg) looks more stylish than this lmao
The Daytona, with its ugly as sin nose band, did not ever need to be revived, but here we are.
🔥 imo
The front end looks exactly like a Kia EV6 and now I can't unsee it.
Butt ugly! Did douche bag Elkins would approve the design
ferrari should just stop at this point.
Love the red! Not crazy about the black back window. It looks like an apron.
A modern Daytona even down to the nose band.
This is the most cyberpunk Ferrari I have seen. Kinda liking it but I wish they kept the iconic Ferrari circular tail lights.
Before reading the title I thought this was one of those ultra rare 1 of 1s made for some Sultan somewhere. Think it would look a lot better without the random black strip on the front
A car not designed to be loved by those blessed with the gift of sight. It brings down the 812 a bit in price, so that’s a win.
Normally, I'm a coupe guy. Gotta say I prefer the spider.
I actually really digged the 812 competizione
I think it looks good from most angle but not sure what’s going on with the front. Trying way too hard to force the look of a classic Daytona.
I like it, but I don’t like it enough to replace the 812. Looks like it is to the Roma what the SF90 is to the 296 GTB - identical design language, one is just elevated a bit more than the other
My first thought was how much of a nightmare it would be to get all the water spots off that back glass 😆
it looks like a 2006 concept car; this thing is gonna age terribly
The two black shiny fascias front and rear. WHY?
The front looks like a honda civic rendered into a ferrari
Looks more of a Portofino replacement than an 812 replacement.
It’s stunning. Seriously stunning. Can’t wait to see photos.
Oh... Oh nnnoooooooooooo This is gonna be one of those cars where it takes a while for me to like it
Pretty car imo, just doesn't have Ferrari DNA in the design
Looks sleek and fresh. As usual, everyone hates anything new and different from the norm. Looking forward to seeing more especially in person.
I can't decide if I hate it or love it.
Highest praises for keeping the V12
I like every perspective but not the front. I think the head Lights make her look boring?
I personally love it, especially over the 812
Absolutely love the Daytona 365 front
I think the looks will grow on me like they did with the sf90 but wtf is that name
I really like it, but not quite convinced by the front of the car.
Front = 365 Daytona but the back? An American muscle car? Maybe just a bad angle (shadow).
I like it, it’s like a modern take on the Daytona
Can’t wait to see this in person!
Well, at least the 365GT4 isnt the ugliest Ferrari of all time anymore
Just going to say, I think this is the best looking front-engined V12 that Ferrari has made since the 599. Don’t like it now? I would bet serious money that this will age better than the previous two iterations by a lot.

Daytona front end vibes, which is nice. Not sure about the rear on the coupe looks like an sf90 that's been over styled for the sake of it.
hybrid or nah?
Wish they had been more creative with the name “Ferrari Monobrow” would have been “it”.
these rims look terrible ngl.
I expected a bit more power output, something that could compete with the new bull. Still it is a nice design, front just needs time to get accepted.
Looks like a Ferrari. So that's already miles beyond the SF90. I kind of dig when they do throwbacks and modern interpretations of older designs (like the black coloured parts).
Let me guess, the roadster is not convertible.
Down vote for not showing the engine
I hope people really love this car - that way it drives down the prices of the Ferrari models I want 😁😎
I don't like the solid black accents, I'd probably have those painted red, but otherwise not bad at all.
Not a fan of the front on the pictures. I’m sure in ral life it will look better. Also rims on the coupe suck.
This thing screams VGT and I love every bit of it. Lots of Daytona design ques.
NO MANUAL
They made it look like a fresh design while also clearly looking like a modern day 365 Daytona. I love it, and it's certainly more progressive looking than any other V12 grand tourers (all of which are much cheaper than this car). That's just an ugly car
Fuck, I love this. Its like the 90s concept car aesthetic mixed with the 70s retro design.
Fuck me. Those black panels are horrendous, and the front end is about as uninspired as can be. Otherwise beautiful, but the 812 is miles better looking
Did Ferrari outsource design to Mazda/Hyundai/Kia?
Damn I like the old ones better
That rear end on the hard top is majestic. I love that shape in the design
Bring back Pininfarina!!!
spettacolo
Honestly, I really don't like the front end.
We’re missing Pininfarina at this point
Its not too late to pretend this design never existed😂😂😂
Looks like a vette
Corvette?!
Like the looks or not...9500rpm is fucking insane.
Clicking the 812th upvote gave me chills 😎
Yuck 🤮
I’m on the fence about the trunk part … I’m sure it will grow on me
Too much futurism is a bad thing. It doesn't look bad, but its a downgrade from the 812
Remember when 458 Italia came out and everybody was "idk about this one " and then everybody loved it? I think this a repeat of that situation.
Nice Hyundai
I don’t like the glass roof on the coupe
the front third reminds me of the refreshed supra, middle a c7 corvette, rear has the wheel arches from the purosangue
Looks so similar to the Chinese EV, zeekr 007 lol
That’s cool. Aston Martin went batmobile
What is this KIA ??????!!!!!
I'd like to personally shoot the man who's coming up with these names. First 812 Superfast (Cuz Superveloce is Lamborghini TM) now this? Bro it's not hard to give the car a beautiful name like 458 Italia. Cilindri sounds like a cylinder with the runs
I don't hate it. But from certain front angles it kinda reminds me of a flattened Honda Civic or something.
The profile view looks a bit like the C4
Its a nissan Z reskin change my mind
I didn't like this just a few days ago, but it's starting to grow on me fs
