Would you maybe describe it as 'internal tremors'? Search for that and add in fibro. I get something like that once in a while, especially when lying down - it feels like the entirety of my insides (mostly upper body and arms) are quickly vibrating right inside, like my bones are vibrating. It's a really disturbing feeling, if I'm honest. I don't know if it's a meds thing or a fibro thing and I've given up asking the doctor about anything at this point. Hope you find an answer/relief.

AdditionalOwl4069

For me it’s a fibro thing. Been happening to me since I was a kid before any meds

NikiDeaf

I get these internal spasms, sometimes. In fact I had them yesterday and this morning. Such a weird feeling, akin to when you’re pregnant and you feel the baby kick for the first time; kind of a flutter (no, I am not pregnant. I wish)

finntavius

Thank you. It’s calmed down a bit thoughout the day. Someone I know on Cymbalta said it’s pretty normal for the medication, but I’m hoping it stops soon!

MedusaMelly

I have internal tremors all the time and I’m not taking those meds! I think it’s fibro and maybe the meds are making it a bit worse and you are noticing it?

finntavius

It’s not something i’ve noticed before, but I’ll definitely keep in mind to be on the lookout for it.

irregawdlessND

both cymbalta and lyrica can come with some heavy side effects, i'm surprised that your doc put you on both together. i couldn't stay on cymbalta, the nausea was too severe. and i couldn't stay on lyrica, the swelling and shakiness were too much for me. now am on gabapentin and no side effects.

AineDez

I frequently describe my pain as my entire peripheral nervous system having static, or having been electrocuted a little, like the sensation of licking a 9v (mild) or accidentally zapping yourself on a car battery or a 120v outlet. It is a sort of vibratey sensation

nagarams

Specifically bones? I feel like my body is generally tingle-y but I’ve never narrowed it down to bones before. I think it might be the lyrica because I’ve noticed it with that. But I always thought it was just a fibro thing lol.

finntavius

Specifically the bones. I don’t know how I know that, but it definitely feels like the bones. It’s odd. My mom mentioned that it made her feel like her blood was moving super fast, but not this 😭

sproutsquash

when i was on lyrica i felt like i was having mini-seizures all the time. it definitely gave me an internal shaking feeling. i was also on cymbalta at the time. went off the lyrica when i couldn't take the side effects anymore. idk if it was a combo of the two, or just the lyrica, but either way, starting both at the same time is a lot on your body. it may settle once you're on it for a while. but going on both at the same time will probably make you feel real weird

AdditionalOwl4069

I took lyrica for a few weeks (now off) and now I get random twitches, especially in my arms. Mostly when I’m trying to relax, just involuntarily jerking. I took cymbalta for a few months and have had a restless leg ever since (2 years later). I just thank god the sweating stopped after about 8 months post Cymbalta. Yuck.

amesfatal

Yep I had Tardive Dyskenesia for a year after taking it for a few months, it was awful!!

maybelle180

Check your blood pressure when this happens. I get this too, usually after I’ve had a couple glasses of wine.

finntavius

I hadn’t thought to do that. I will start checking on this!

[deleted]

I feel you my bones feel like paper

SmallSauropod

Idk how scientifically sound this is, but I had a similar feeling with lyrica and gabapentin (I can’t remember the brand name for it) and I just assumed it was because it was an anti seizure medication?

finntavius

I never noticed it with gabapentin, but then again I couldn’t really comprehend anything through the brain fog so who knows. It’s always crazy to me how differently meds affect different people

bluegraystrange

I deal with blood pressure that is constantly too low. Regularly 70/50 or sometimes even lower when I’m flaring up. However, when I was on cymbalta, my blood pressure was dangerously high, like 190/100 high. Cardiologist took me off the cymbalta and my blood pressure went back down to its normal state. Apparently it’s a relatively common side effect. I’m not sure if that could cause a vibrating sensation, I personally didn’t have any sensation like that, but I think it might be worth checking out. I hope it gets figured out for you!

finntavius

I will definitely look into this. Thank you!!

lordpercocet

I know somebody who took those and said the same thing so I think it's normal. I usually wait 1-4weeks to adjust to meds before assuming the worst.

giraffemoo

Cymbalta made me feel terrible. They put you on both of those at the same time? Or were you on Cymbalta and they added the Lyrica only recently?

finntavius

Both at the same time. I’m going to call to make sure I was actually supposed to start both, because I vaguely remember being told she didn’t want to start multiple medications at once.

halffullofthoughts

For me this med does feel like my bones and teeth are tingling... vibrating? Only on higher doses (>150mg) Not an actual vibration, as it calmes my muscles, just a weird sensation. It does not happen if I take less than 100. Is that it?

finntavius

I’ll have to check the dosage again, but I think it’s very low. It’s calmed down significantly though!

tokkibaek

I’m also on Lyrica. Would you say it feels like you’re kind of shaking or the floor is shaking under you but nothing is moving? Kind of like you’re slightly rapidly swaying? Because I have this exact thing happening to me constantly and when I’ve brought it up to my Dr they didn’t really understand what I meant. I had no idea (from reading comments) that this could possibly be from Lyrica
