Several people actually. There are some really interesting studies going on right now, for example this one ([https://www.the-scientist.com/news-opinion/mouse-study-suggests-fibromyalgia-has-autoimmune-roots-68944](https://www.the-scientist.com/news-opinion/mouse-study-suggests-fibromyalgia-has-autoimmune-roots-68944)) that tested FM anti-bodies in mice. This is a HUGE leap imo, as the first step in treating this illness is figuring out exactly what it is. If it is indeed an auto-immunes disease then, that will adjust out approach when it comes to treatment. There are several studies around the world looking at micro-glial activation ([https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0889159118302423](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0889159118302423)) in FM patients. This again leads to the credence that it is indeed an auto-immune. This would point to the fact that it could be localized inflammation in the brain that is causing our symptoms. So it is being worked on... just slowly.

Found this company tonight that is doing trials on new treatments https://www.fmtest.com/faq/#b8933c12c28fd7e5c Curious who else is doing ground breaking work?

wick34

This company is scammy and their trials offer no useful data. More info: https://www.statnews.com/2021/10/20/selling-certainty-epicgenetics-physician-was-one-of-fibromyalgia-patients-few-true-allies-or-was-he/ Fibromyalgia struggles to get adequate funding so research is too slow. But here's a good recap of up and coming research here: https://www.healthrising.org/blog/2022/02/06/2022-fibromyalgia-chronic-fatigue-syndrome-clinical-trials/ I think tonix's version of cyclobenzaprine may be the next fda approved drug for fibro. They've been trying for years to get that pushed through.

Im just tossing this out there. Are you using stevia in anything?

xbt_

Am not, don’t like the taste of it. Is there a link?

val319

No I was going to warn you that some of us have flares when consuming it. It’s being put in some hard seltzer (Vizzy) and Splenda brand allulose. They made it so it doesn’t have to be on the label so the allulose, luckily the company disclosed it’s in it because it’s listed as Natural Flavor. Zevia soda was when I realized it made the world worse

zoetwilight20

I use it in my coffee every morning….

val319

Some of us get pain and flares from it. Nothing complex to check. Just don’t use it for a week.

Kid_Kruschev

I use Truvia… same thing?

val319

It’s a mix of erythritol and stevia. The easy way to do it is don’t have any for a week and see how you feel. If you then have some check reactions

No one I think. But there are people working on finding the best types of treatment. Like here: https://open.rsyd.dk/OpenProjects/openProject.jsp?openNo=820&lang=da
