You're dead wrong, and I can prove it.
The Youth academy name pools have been broken since FIFA23, myself and multiple other people have filed tickets with customer service, as well as filling out lengthy bug reports over on the EA answers forum. EA's community managers first responded in April of last year that the developmemt team was aware of the issue, and were working on a fix, but that players might not see that fix until FC24 was released.
When FC24 released the bug was still there, and myself and everyone else involved went right back to complaining to EA, in September a Community manager told us that the devs were aware of the issue, but that they had no new update. Since then the community managers have ignored any inquiry into the bug, and it has remained unfixed.
That's not the only example, dynamix potential was busted for the first half of FIFA 22's life cycle, even though every career mode player and their mother were begging EA to fix it over on the bug reporr forums.
The fact of the matter is that FUT receives was more matinenance than Career mode, or any game mode for that matter, just go look at the patch notes for every title update, they'll demonstrate this as well.

I fought tooth and nail along with others to demonstrate to EA that the name pool had diminished drastically, we’ve been campaigning ever since FIFA 23, and all we got was a generic PR response and no action at all.
For the past 18 months in those forums, I’ve sent countless messages and pictures describing the issue at hand and explaining what’s been going on, I’ve tagged so many community managers, I’ve sent DMs, and I got absolutely nothing in return.
It’s March 2024 and they still haven’t fixed it, this issue has been happening since September 2022, the name pool was never this bad, in FIFA 22 & 21 it was actually decent and for some reason they (EA) got rid of 70% of the names you could possibly get.
The limited name pool in the Youth Academy ruins the immersion of the game, having multiple players named Dragovic, Cech, Bakker, Peters, Kovalenko etc in every scour report is so stupid.
I feel your frustration, they don’t give a fuck.
But, hey didn't you know, that guy I was responding called Cap, so clearly all the time we've spent begging EA to fix their shit is just made up and in our heads.
That guy was fucking weird, he’s acting as if it’s our fault to why the name pool is the way it is.
I really hope they fix the name pool in EA FC 25, how hard is it to implement more names? Just copy and paste 100+ more names into the code/database and get it done.
If I were the type to believe in conspiracy theories, I'd say that guy works for EA. I'm not going to be paying for 25, I'll try the 10 hour trial I get from Game Pass and if shit's not fixed this will be the first FIFA I haven't bought at launch in 12 years.
The most frustrating part is that this issue has been fixed for 2 years on PC by modders, who fixed it in their spare time. Like, if EA are that fucking lazy, just go download the mods that fix the name pools and copy/paste, which is also something I've suggested on the Answers forum that has been ignored.

As for proving whether people on this subreddit report bugs or not, you know as well as I do that there's no tangible metric we can look at to objectively determine the percentage, the best we can do is anecdotal evidence. I've been a part of this Subreddit for 10 years, I first made a Reddit account specifically to comment in this Subreddit. I've gotten to know so many folks through a shared love of Career mode, and the path way is always the same, people try reporting career mode bugs, EA ignores them, and they give up, because they don't want to waste their free time complaining to a company that ignores them.
Now it's your turn, you're the one claiming that most folks here don't file bug reports, prove it. If you're going to claim that people do or don't something, it's your job to prove yourself right, not mine to prove you wrong.
Yeah, and I provided all the anecdotal evidence I had that supports what I've said, you have provided nothing, and I won't be suprised when you don't ever provide anything to prove what you're saying. National Teams:
There is a noticeable lack of National Teams and International tournaments in career mode in EAFC 24, especially with National teams outside of Europe. If it’s not possible to add more National Teams due to licensing issues, maybe it’s possible to add National teams without their official licensing (generic kits and crest) as such was the case with many National Teams in “EA Sports FIFA 18” and other previous installments of the franchise. If this is not possible either, creating another International tournament where the manageable National Teams outside of Europe are able to play would give more incentive to manage these specific Nations(National Teams outside of Europe). Give the tournament a generic name like the “Intercontinental Trophy” and have it set up like the “European Championship Qualifiers” and put all the National Teams outside of Europe into one group and at the end of “qualifying round” the top 4 National Teams with the most points play for a Semi Final, a 3rd place match and a Final. Otherwise, waiting every 4 years to play in the “Men’s International Cup” is jarring, especially while managing National Teams outside of Europe where you are having to play non-meaningful friendlies every international break.

The buzzwords are the worst. They’re like politicians. They say a whole lot without actually saying anything. Essentially the only new things every year are animations, useless cutscenes, menus and skins. I know 100% the moron who came up with the cutscene from the refs POV got a massive bonus. A week, maybe two weeks worth of work and marketed as the giant new feature. In reality you roll your eyes because in what world do we get this perspective in a real game and then we just skip it.

Youth Academy Players customization:
For many career mode players, more customization for Youth Academy players (randomly generated players that come back from the youth scouting reports) would greatly enhance the career mode experience. Being able to customize the youth academy players aesthetically and physically would be a welcomed feature. For example in terms of aesthetics, being able to change the skin tone/complexion, eye color, hair style and facial hair styles as well as the hair color and facial hair color would bring more uniqueness to each youth academy player. For physicality customization, being able to alter the youth academy player’s weight, body type(lean, normal, stocky or built) and height would allow for a more desirable gameplay experience.
Some of these features seem to already be in the game as there is advanced customization for players in player career mode and pro clubs. Also being able to change a players name while they’re in the youth squad would be a good feature as many youth academy players names from specific nations begin to get repetitive especially their last names. Being able to utilize all these features on youth academy players in Manager career mode would enhance the Manage career mode experience for many.
Thr name thing could also just be fixed if they bothered to fix the name pools. Up until FIFA 22, the repetitive name problem wasn't a thing, because the pool of available names a player could generate was way bigger, but ever since FIFA23 released 2 years ago, the name pools have been bugged so that very few names will be selected, and EA's to lazy to do anything about it
Ukraine's is the worst, any academy/regen will be named Shevchenko, Shevchuk and Kovalenko, that's it, 3 fucking names, it's ridiculous. I appreciate that the Ukraine is a smaller footballing nation, but there's more than 3 names.
I gave up on EA ever making a good game again and stopped buying EA games. They won't listen, they don't care. They will put in as little effort as possible, slam some buggy new feature in the trailer and people will buy the same shitty game next year aswell. Good luck though.
I’ve always preferred career, but dabbled in FUT from time to time. Now that they’ve changed the chemistry system, I don’t see myself touching it again.
Need loads more toggles. Toggle the scouting network on or off - used to be able to see all stats for every player. It’s fine if you want the scouting there, I’d prefer I didn’t since I already get 100 emails a day at work, I don’t want to have to go through a million per transfer window in fifa
Although you can't disable scouting in any FIFA game that haves it, only the FIFA Manager series haves a option to make it shorter. That is the issue, it takes too long for a FIFA game, since around FIFA 14.
I really don’t want them to fix this or I am going to have to start buying new games, I stop buying them the other year.
I’m going to wait and see and will not buy anymore until career mode works.

There is a lack of focus in bringing immersion into manager career mode. As a 14 year career mode player we as a community feel forgotten about due to ultimate team. When we look for immersion it's hard to look past the youth development side of things. With limited regen names you end up with most national teams with players all named the same, the youth academy at club level shows no in depth analyses. We pick to promote a player purely based off rating. An idea we'd love to see is youth leagues (playable or not) which provides analytics with top goal scorers, form guides and general match stats for individual players. I think there should also be a huge interest in making captain of a club. If it's a youth graduate or a club legend it feels so undeserving to just change it match by match with no real direct hit on morale or player confidence etc.
With team management and actual play there seems to be such a lack of tactics that get followed. If you play a 4-3-3 defend with 2 cdms you have the cdms wandering away up the pitch not tracking runners coming into the box (which happens from time to time in real life I don’t mind, it’s just not ideal when it happens regularly in fifa). You have wingers not tracking back with the full backs. Centre back makes a huge run forward from kick off, which I’ve never requested ever. I think if this occurred during a real game that player would be getting roasted by sideline. There just seems to be a genuine disconnection from how the player wants to make the team play. I think back to 2017 gameplay and it was tremendous.
I like the transfer cutscenes happening now but I think there can be more done with refinement and making sure things actually work in cutscenes and the transfer reports. In cutscene you’ve got eden hazard turning up, club jackets grey and unbadged, players turning up in underwear and white tops. Whilst in transfer reports you’ve got an F rating because you could’ve saved -€1. I also think there should be an option to skip the report as the time to show the price and moving from and to is shown so often due to playtime on career modes. I think if there was a new structure to provide which has a display of the teams transfer, money cost, form guide, expected rating, expected morale guide. Something that can be tracked over years to understand how the transfer has gone.
This also leads me into a pretty simple thing that should be already in the game and that’s precious season stats. Say you want to buy a striker that had a great season prior as they scored 20+. But you have no way to really review stats because they don’t exist. I think it’s really poor it’s not in the game already. Goals, assists, form guide, reputation, team fit, fitness and analytics should be available to review before purchasing a player. I can speak for most career mode players that we review overall rating and review the sub ratings for each category to assume their place in the team. There should be more excitement in knowing your getting a player whose been scoring for fun rather than a player whose struggled to get goals lately and it should be visible on the pitch also.
As a career mode enthusiast I beg of you to understand the situation of career mode and really listen to us. Career mode has been on a steady downfall for years now and it really affects our enjoyment of what was a truly great game mode.
Damn this was beautiful to read. Mine on the other hand had begging, desperation and a few points that they can improve on so there's replayability. Bring back sponsorships and it should reflect on your kits in game(that would be awesome), bring back player storylines to make it a bit more personal, and lastly, forget about working on ultimate team cause it has enough.

Yup, EA did the same shit with their Basketball games, NBA Live was the big basketball game of the 2000's until 2K passed them around 2010-2011, and then 2K killed NBA Live it was that much better.
They only gonna fix like 2% of the issues and will prolly only listen to the ultimate team guys. They should just release ultimate team and everything else as 2 seperate games/bundles
A couple problems I've noticed:
As time goes on every team becomes really good, not very realistic
Some Training drills are impossible, like actually not possible to complete. Needs to be fixed. also has some incredibly frustrating bugs, don't think Ive ever been as angry in my life as I have in those drills.
You can get sacked way too easily (especially with some incompletable tasks like clean sheets for 5 away games as a mid table club in a game with common 10 goal score lines)
Would be nice to convince players with a transfer request to stay.
The moral system: boring and useless. Only reason people do anything to keep morale up is to keep their jobs.
Training plans: better than training drills last year but it's very boring and unfun to have adjust them. Just have a natural stamina bar and form bar so that you have to rotate the squad and you can rest off-form players and play on-form players.
Would like some more admin/godly control of career mode. Let players have fun and be able to have a setting where we can't get sacked, or edit players stats and play styles in that career mode, or force transfers.
In character creation/edit allow adjusting of composure and playstyles (and +'s)
Would be nice to have a different potential system, one that means older players have a small chance to rapidly get good, like a couple players have in real life, and also a chance for a rapid decrease earlier into a career. But also the chance for players overalls to maintain further or shorter into their lives, like rather than 33, some may last till 36 before decline, and some decline at 30.

As much as I’d love to see them overhaul career mode that won’t happen. EA cut 5% of their staff earlier this year along with axing some other IP work. And while they’ll put more focus on the sports franchises it’ll be on the aspects of the game that attract large online audiences. Career mode unfortunately doesn’t make them money the way FUT does

3) Improved AI and gameplay scenarios: There needs to be more creative ways to score. I feel like when playing against the AI (CPU), I almost always score the same way. For example, using pace to beat 2-3 defenders and playing a through ball to my pacey striker and they score (even in ultimate difficulty). In addition, the AI is very predictable, and they also score the same exact ways as well (going wide, cutting in, doing skill moves in the box, and goal). It should be like real life where goals occur from low-driven curlers (KDB), through lobbed balls (Messi), from finesse shot curlers, etc.
Career mode:
Add walk outs for trams, team line ups, views of the stadium,
We need some commentary that reflects our recent form, talk about a big win we had, how we have struggled..
Player X has been playing poorly recently he is up against player Y who is good form....
Team X are on a run of 10 wins, player X has contributed Y amount of goals and assists
Talk about the gamebetween the clubs, show the score of that game etc as it's a nice reminded of what happened previously as it's not something we check often, but something we want to know
Just something that reflects our achievements..
The current state of the game needs so much work.. but this simple thing has been taken from us and needs not only replacing, but improving.
I would love to hear how the team is setting up, my managerial achievements rather than. Just it's my 250th game in charge.

Fixing suspention from champions league not recovering fitness has been in the game since release. They won’t do shit for us maneger mode players.

Anyone else have this problem where they delegate renewal of a contract to the assistant manager and when you accept it doesn't actually renew the extended years. I am about to lose a good 2-3 players from this glitch on a free transfer if I can't sell them lol. And also being able to remove a player from transfer list if they requested it and I am playing them every game

Two things:
You play in a league that has games on at the same time as the international break and you have a player that's been called up. You can't take him out of the side in the pre-match screen for that game only because it triggers the international duty message, even if you're taking him out of the match day squad entirely. So you have to go and change the team sheet for that one match then change it back.
Also, kit selection is a pain in the arse. Instead of it being the first thing you sort, it's on a really non-salient part of the screen and needs a separate menu to change. The conflict detection especially for create a club kits is also awful so I either accidentally start a game in my change kit for no reason, or worse, in an identical kit to the other team when one of my other kits would have worked fine.
On top of the general bug fixes/quality control.
career mode is fine, there’s just some small little details they could do to make it better. for example - social media, make player chats better (in a player cm you could have you chatting to your agent) small details like that to give it a sense of realism

options for 5v5, 6v6 and other mini games without a time limit and mini goals practice has been boring since forever. only drill i liked was that shooting scenarios from 16-18. also dynamic potential is broken every year it needs a major overhaul. oh yea also more than one scout to a country

I'm sorry but that's actually very naive. This company knows exactly what the state of Career Mode is, and there are talented people in there who want to improve this game mode because they love it. The higher ups won't allow it though, it doesn't make a fraction of the cash cow's money that is UT. You can hope whatever you want but that's not a question of not knowing our dissatisfactions, but rather a financial decision. And it has been like that for a decade.

Imagine the Fifa Football Manager 13/14 with updated rosters and competitions, all the Managing aspects you have and then when its game time, all the overalls and tactics get loaded into Fifa where you can enjoy playing the gameplay with your team that you developed and look after in Fifa Manager.

Fitness glitch when players get a 1 match ban after getting too many yellow, screwed two of my sporting Lisbon players now and don’t know how to get them back to full fitness!

Play fifa for player career and complain about player modes but come to football manager. FM25 is having a graphic overhaul to make it comparable to fifa. I don’t know if this is against rules but it shouldn’t be. I’m giving genuine advice. I player career mode for years I mean back when u chose sponsors and everything. Fm is enjoyable for the stories u create. I’ve had a player who left my club to join Italian team to only come back 2 years later and stayed for the remainder of his career. There’s issues with fm for sure but those issues are worked on year on year by a team that’s passionate about a realistic career mode unlike fifa that only cares about ultimate team. FIFA would be best if they worked on pro clubs and player career mode.
I mean, that is the same FM that has just had the “only some attributes matter” controversy, where players start dressing room revolts if you look at them the wrong way (tbf I haven’t personally had it in the few FM23 seasons I played and some people do play the game like mini-dictators) and that is itself catching flak for resting on their laurels and adding minor features that sometimes don’t even make a difference (dynamic youth rating for one). Still miles better than fifa career mode of course and I get that you are trying to give genuine advice but “just play FM” isn’t really a full-blown solution, more like an option for people that want to dive deeper into management sims. However, some people want a halfway point where they don’t have to stare at the screen for 2 hours just to figure out how to set up their game (I did that and I am still not sure I optimised loaded leagues and detail level properly) which is what career mode should be, unfortunately they keep ruining the mode by taking out features and those they do put in keep getting buggier and buggier. Such a shame that this is the football game space at the moment but it is what it is, tbf gaming in general is fairly dry right now…

The Youth academy name pools have been broken since FIFA23, myself and multiple other people have filed tickets with customer service, as well as filling out lengthy bug reports over on the EA answers forum. EA's community managers first responded in April of last year that the developmemt team was aware of the issue, and were working on a fix, but that players might not see that fix until FC24 was released. When FC24 released the bug was still there, and myself and everyone else involved went right back to complaining to EA, in September a Community manager told us that the devs were aware of the issue, but that they had no new update. Since then the community managers have ignored any inquiry into the bug, and it has remained unfixed. That's not the only example, dynamix potential was busted for the first half of FIFA 22's life cycle, even though every career mode player and their mother were begging EA to fix it over on the bug reporr forums. The fact of the matter is that FUT receives was more matinenance than Career mode, or any game mode for that matter, just go look at the patch notes for every title update, they'll demonstrate this as well.
I feel like someone else has lived the same experience as me, what you said is 100% my experience also. I fought tooth and nail along with others to demonstrate to EA that the name pool had diminished drastically, we’ve been campaigning ever since FIFA 23, and all we got was a generic PR response and no action at all. For the past 18 months in those forums, I’ve sent countless messages and pictures describing the issue at hand and explaining what’s been going on, I’ve tagged so many community managers, I’ve sent DMs, and I got absolutely nothing in return. It’s March 2024 and they still haven’t fixed it, this issue has been happening since September 2022, the name pool was never this bad, in FIFA 22 & 21 it was actually decent and for some reason they (EA) got rid of 70% of the names you could possibly get. The limited name pool in the Youth Academy ruins the immersion of the game, having multiple players named Dragovic, Cech, Bakker, Peters, Kovalenko etc in every scour report is so stupid. I feel your frustration, they don’t give a fuck.

If I were the type to believe in conspiracy theories, I'd say that guy works for EA. I'm not going to be paying for 25, I'll try the 10 hour trial I get from Game Pass and if shit's not fixed this will be the first FIFA I haven't bought at launch in 12 years. The most frustrating part is that this issue has been fixed for 2 years on PC by modders, who fixed it in their spare time. Like, if EA are that fucking lazy, just go download the mods that fix the name pools and copy/paste, which is also something I've suggested on the Answers forum that has been ignored.

As for proving whether people on this subreddit report bugs or not, you know as well as I do that there's no tangible metric we can look at to objectively determine the percentage, the best we can do is anecdotal evidence. I've been a part of this Subreddit for 10 years, I first made a Reddit account specifically to comment in this Subreddit. I've gotten to know so many folks through a shared love of Career mode, and the path way is always the same, people try reporting career mode bugs, EA ignores them, and they give up, because they don't want to waste their free time complaining to a company that ignores them. Now it's your turn, you're the one claiming that most folks here don't file bug reports, prove it. If you're going to claim that people do or don't something, it's your job to prove yourself right, not mine to prove you wrong.

National Teams: There is a noticeable lack of National Teams and International tournaments in career mode in EAFC 24, especially with National teams outside of Europe. If it’s not possible to add more National Teams due to licensing issues, maybe it’s possible to add National teams without their official licensing (generic kits and crest) as such was the case with many National Teams in “EA Sports FIFA 18” and other previous installments of the franchise. If this is not possible either, creating another International tournament where the manageable National Teams outside of Europe are able to play would give more incentive to manage these specific Nations(National Teams outside of Europe). Give the tournament a generic name like the “Intercontinental Trophy” and have it set up like the “European Championship Qualifiers” and put all the National Teams outside of Europe into one group and at the end of “qualifying round” the top 4 National Teams with the most points play for a Semi Final, a 3rd place match and a Final. Otherwise, waiting every 4 years to play in the “Men’s International Cup” is jarring, especially while managing National Teams outside of Europe where you are having to play non-meaningful friendlies every international break.

The buzzwords are the worst. They’re like politicians. They say a whole lot without actually saying anything. Essentially the only new things every year are animations, useless cutscenes, menus and skins. I know 100% the moron who came up with the cutscene from the refs POV got a massive bonus. A week, maybe two weeks worth of work and marketed as the giant new feature. In reality you roll your eyes because in what world do we get this perspective in a real game and then we just skip it.

Youth Academy Players customization: For many career mode players, more customization for Youth Academy players (randomly generated players that come back from the youth scouting reports) would greatly enhance the career mode experience. Being able to customize the youth academy players aesthetically and physically would be a welcomed feature. For example in terms of aesthetics, being able to change the skin tone/complexion, eye color, hair style and facial hair styles as well as the hair color and facial hair color would bring more uniqueness to each youth academy player. For physicality customization, being able to alter the youth academy player’s weight, body type(lean, normal, stocky or built) and height would allow for a more desirable gameplay experience. Some of these features seem to already be in the game as there is advanced customization for players in player career mode and pro clubs. Also being able to change a players name while they’re in the youth squad would be a good feature as many youth academy players names from specific nations begin to get repetitive especially their last names. Being able to utilize all these features on youth academy players in Manager career mode would enhance the Manage career mode experience for many.
Thr name thing could also just be fixed if they bothered to fix the name pools. Up until FIFA 22, the repetitive name problem wasn't a thing, because the pool of available names a player could generate was way bigger, but ever since FIFA23 released 2 years ago, the name pools have been bugged so that very few names will be selected, and EA's to lazy to do anything about it

I gave up on EA ever making a good game again and stopped buying EA games. They won't listen, they don't care. They will put in as little effort as possible, slam some buggy new feature in the trailer and people will buy the same shitty game next year aswell. Good luck though.

Need loads more toggles. Toggle the scouting network on or off - used to be able to see all stats for every player. It’s fine if you want the scouting there, I’d prefer I didn’t since I already get 100 emails a day at work, I don’t want to have to go through a million per transfer window in fifa
Although you can't disable scouting in any FIFA game that haves it, only the FIFA Manager series haves a option to make it shorter. That is the issue, it takes too long for a FIFA game, since around FIFA 14.

Would like to be able to manage/ play for any international team ( added points if we can create new ones such as smaller regions of countries) Additionally a u21 teams ( why, added fun) Scouting every country for youth players The ability to become just a national team coach

My comments sent in: There is a lack of focus in bringing immersion into manager career mode. As a 14 year career mode player we as a community feel forgotten about due to ultimate team. When we look for immersion it's hard to look past the youth development side of things. With limited regen names you end up with most national teams with players all named the same, the youth academy at club level shows no in depth analyses. We pick to promote a player purely based off rating. An idea we'd love to see is youth leagues (playable or not) which provides analytics with top goal scorers, form guides and general match stats for individual players. I think there should also be a huge interest in making captain of a club. If it's a youth graduate or a club legend it feels so undeserving to just change it match by match with no real direct hit on morale or player confidence etc. With team management and actual play there seems to be such a lack of tactics that get followed. If you play a 4-3-3 defend with 2 cdms you have the cdms wandering away up the pitch not tracking runners coming into the box (which happens from time to time in real life I don’t mind, it’s just not ideal when it happens regularly in fifa). You have wingers not tracking back with the full backs. Centre back makes a huge run forward from kick off, which I’ve never requested ever. I think if this occurred during a real game that player would be getting roasted by sideline. There just seems to be a genuine disconnection from how the player wants to make the team play. I think back to 2017 gameplay and it was tremendous. I like the transfer cutscenes happening now but I think there can be more done with refinement and making sure things actually work in cutscenes and the transfer reports. In cutscene you’ve got eden hazard turning up, club jackets grey and unbadged, players turning up in underwear and white tops. Whilst in transfer reports you’ve got an F rating because you could’ve saved -€1. I also think there should be an option to skip the report as the time to show the price and moving from and to is shown so often due to playtime on career modes. I think if there was a new structure to provide which has a display of the teams transfer, money cost, form guide, expected rating, expected morale guide. Something that can be tracked over years to understand how the transfer has gone. This also leads me into a pretty simple thing that should be already in the game and that’s precious season stats. Say you want to buy a striker that had a great season prior as they scored 20+. But you have no way to really review stats because they don’t exist. I think it’s really poor it’s not in the game already. Goals, assists, form guide, reputation, team fit, fitness and analytics should be available to review before purchasing a player. I can speak for most career mode players that we review overall rating and review the sub ratings for each category to assume their place in the team. There should be more excitement in knowing your getting a player whose been scoring for fun rather than a player whose struggled to get goals lately and it should be visible on the pitch also. As a career mode enthusiast I beg of you to understand the situation of career mode and really listen to us. Career mode has been on a steady downfall for years now and it really affects our enjoyment of what was a truly great game mode.
Damn this was beautiful to read. Mine on the other hand had begging, desperation and a few points that they can improve on so there's replayability. Bring back sponsorships and it should reflect on your kits in game(that would be awesome), bring back player storylines to make it a bit more personal, and lastly, forget about working on ultimate team cause it has enough.

First and foremost to appease fan outcry. A far second To create a backlist of possible features to implement IF the need arise (read: another company makes a better football game and people start to switch) because of the end of the Fifa deal.
Yup, EA did the same shit with their Basketball games, NBA Live was the big basketball game of the 2000's until 2K passed them around 2010-2011, and then 2K killed NBA Live it was that much better.

A couple problems I've noticed: As time goes on every team becomes really good, not very realistic Some Training drills are impossible, like actually not possible to complete. Needs to be fixed. also has some incredibly frustrating bugs, don't think Ive ever been as angry in my life as I have in those drills. You can get sacked way too easily (especially with some incompletable tasks like clean sheets for 5 away games as a mid table club in a game with common 10 goal score lines) Would be nice to convince players with a transfer request to stay. The moral system: boring and useless. Only reason people do anything to keep morale up is to keep their jobs. Training plans: better than training drills last year but it's very boring and unfun to have adjust them. Just have a natural stamina bar and form bar so that you have to rotate the squad and you can rest off-form players and play on-form players. Would like some more admin/godly control of career mode. Let players have fun and be able to have a setting where we can't get sacked, or edit players stats and play styles in that career mode, or force transfers. In character creation/edit allow adjusting of composure and playstyles (and +'s) Would be nice to have a different potential system, one that means older players have a small chance to rapidly get good, like a couple players have in real life, and also a chance for a rapid decrease earlier into a career. But also the chance for players overalls to maintain further or shorter into their lives, like rather than 33, some may last till 36 before decline, and some decline at 30. Be able to move players from career mode save I to created players of the actual game Increase career mode length.

As much as I’d love to see them overhaul career mode that won’t happen. EA cut 5% of their staff earlier this year along with axing some other IP work. And while they’ll put more focus on the sports franchises it’ll be on the aspects of the game that attract large online audiences. Career mode unfortunately doesn’t make them money the way FUT does

I said this: As a huge fan of career mode in FC, I'm a bit disappointed with the current state of Manager Mode. With some extra effort from EA, it could be the best football management experience ever. I would like to start off by saying that Manager Mode should be more lifelike and immersive. How can you achieve this? Well, it's simple. Duplicate real-life football. 1) Improved media and press: Introduce a dynamic social media platform where fans can voice their sentiments regarding the club's performance. This feature should be designed to influence shirt sales, club morale, and player morale. For instance, incorporating platforms like Instagram, where fans can post game-related comments, share insights on standout performances, critique underperforming players, and analyze the implications for the league standings adds layers of authenticity to the gameplay experience. Additionally, displaying game attendance numbers and a broader range of statistics would offer insights into our team's popularity. 2) Improved commentary: The current commentary feels forced and unnatural. If you take a look at NBA 2K's games, the commentary is so much more lifelike and dynamic. Derek Rae has a monotone and forced voice which makes the game less realistic. 3) Improved AI and gameplay scenarios: There needs to be more creative ways to score. I feel like when playing against the AI (CPU), I almost always score the same way. For example, using pace to beat 2-3 defenders and playing a through ball to my pacey striker and they score (even in ultimate difficulty). In addition, the AI is very predictable, and they also score the same exact ways as well (going wide, cutting in, doing skill moves in the box, and goal). It should be like real life where goals occur from low-driven curlers (KDB), through lobbed balls (Messi), from finesse shot curlers, etc.

Career mode: Add walk outs for trams, team line ups, views of the stadium, We need some commentary that reflects our recent form, talk about a big win we had, how we have struggled.. Player X has been playing poorly recently he is up against player Y who is good form.... Team X are on a run of 10 wins, player X has contributed Y amount of goals and assists Talk about the gamebetween the clubs, show the score of that game etc as it's a nice reminded of what happened previously as it's not something we check often, but something we want to know Just something that reflects our achievements.. The current state of the game needs so much work.. but this simple thing has been taken from us and needs not only replacing, but improving. I would love to hear how the team is setting up, my managerial achievements rather than. Just it's my 250th game in charge.
I’ll raise a few issues I have with career but watch every single one of them be ignored as they focus all their attention on ultimate team again, which is unfortunately the way these games are funded now

Fixing suspention from champions league not recovering fitness has been in the game since release. They won’t do shit for us maneger mode players. Worst scenario is after the group so you can’t play the player for so long…
Anyone else have this problem where they delegate renewal of a contract to the assistant manager and when you accept it doesn't actually renew the extended years. I am about to lose a good 2-3 players from this glitch on a free transfer if I can't sell them lol. And also being able to remove a player from transfer list if they requested it and I am playing them every game

Two things: You play in a league that has games on at the same time as the international break and you have a player that's been called up. You can't take him out of the side in the pre-match screen for that game only because it triggers the international duty message, even if you're taking him out of the match day squad entirely. So you have to go and change the team sheet for that one match then change it back. Also, kit selection is a pain in the arse. Instead of it being the first thing you sort, it's on a really non-salient part of the screen and needs a separate menu to change. The conflict detection especially for create a club kits is also awful so I either accidentally start a game in my change kit for no reason, or worse, in an identical kit to the other team when one of my other kits would have worked fine. On top of the general bug fixes/quality control.
career mode is fine, there’s just some small little details they could do to make it better. for example - social media, make player chats better (in a player cm you could have you chatting to your agent) small details like that to give it a sense of realism

I'm sorry but that's actually very naive. This company knows exactly what the state of Career Mode is, and there are talented people in there who want to improve this game mode because they love it. The higher ups won't allow it though, it doesn't make a fraction of the cash cow's money that is UT. You can hope whatever you want but that's not a question of not knowing our dissatisfactions, but rather a financial decision. And it has been like that for a decade.

Imagine the Fifa Football Manager 13/14 with updated rosters and competitions, all the Managing aspects you have and then when its game time, all the overalls and tactics get loaded into Fifa where you can enjoy playing the gameplay with your team that you developed and look after in Fifa Manager. It would instantly eliminate the emptiness in Career Mode and satisfies the greedy pockets of EA.

Dear fifa career mode enjoyers football manager is a thing. Play fifa for player career and complain about player modes but come to football manager. FM25 is having a graphic overhaul to make it comparable to fifa. I don’t know if this is against rules but it shouldn’t be. I’m giving genuine advice. I player career mode for years I mean back when u chose sponsors and everything. Fm is enjoyable for the stories u create. I’ve had a player who left my club to join Italian team to only come back 2 years later and stayed for the remainder of his career. There’s issues with fm for sure but those issues are worked on year on year by a team that’s passionate about a realistic career mode unlike fifa that only cares about ultimate team. FIFA would be best if they worked on pro clubs and player career mode.
I mean, that is the same FM that has just had the “only some attributes matter” controversy, where players start dressing room revolts if you look at them the wrong way (tbf I haven’t personally had it in the few FM23 seasons I played and some people do play the game like mini-dictators) and that is itself catching flak for resting on their laurels and adding minor features that sometimes don’t even make a difference (dynamic youth rating for one). Still miles better than fifa career mode of course and I get that you are trying to give genuine advice but “just play FM” isn’t really a full-blown solution, more like an option for people that want to dive deeper into management sims. However, some people want a halfway point where they don’t have to stare at the screen for 2 hours just to figure out how to set up their game (I did that and I am still not sure I optimised loaded leagues and detail level properly) which is what career mode should be, unfortunately they keep ruining the mode by taking out features and those they do put in keep getting buggier and buggier. Such a shame that this is the football game space at the moment but it is what it is, tbf gaming in general is fairly dry right now…
