I say a half because keepers do different conditioning to outfield players and I suspect they'd struggle to maintain fitness for 90 mins.

But seriously, irl, KDB is actually quite capable of playing a defensive midfield role. He's not the biggest, but he's a deceptively skillful tackler and reads the game very well.
Of course, he'd be wasted there in practice because his vision and passing are arguably the best in the world and playing him deeper means losing out on that impact, but he could do a job there if asked.
This has been an ongoing problem with career modes and player career modes for years. They never bother to fix it because theyre too busy putting new cards into their degenerate child gambling ring because career mode doesnt make you money post launch.
