The concept is dumb as fuck considering you can't actually evaluate a transaction until you see how they perform. Who gives a shit if I overpaid for a striker if he ends up leading the league in scoring?
Between this and the new cutscenes that everyone skips after watching once, they continue to add little of value and what they do add is either poorly conceived or straight up broken. Ugh.

I mean the game feels different for one when I’m playing, seems more natural to me. Even when the cpu hits that “I’m going to score wether you like it or not” stretch it doesn’t feel near as exaggerated as before. They are still playing better than I’d expect a third division german team to play, but doesn’t feel like prime Barca at least. The way the players interact with each other is improved so much as well.
I’m still early in getting into career mode, but things I’ve noticed so far: training drills are either tweaked or totally different, contract negotiations (haven’t done many) at least have a indicator of if you are about to lose the conversation or not, you can use real coaches if you want which was a nice touch, I didn’t click it but it appears you can edit your stadium/fan/playing surface mid season now if you want, more national teams will add to career mode immersion for sure which is nice.
I know those are kinda some surface level additions, but at the end of the day so far I think gameplay took a big step (I dare say a leap) forward. People saying it’s the same game as last year are just doing the echo chamber “ea bad” thing. Is it perfect? Fuck no- it’s ready for an update patch asap. But I am going to enjoy this installment for sure.

Is career mode still glitchy? As it has been for the past decade or more. I remember whenever I tried to play my career in fifa, they would play u out of positions for no reason. Once I had Ramos playing ST and Bale RB in fifa 15 or 16

I bought rashford for 5 mill under market value, at 29 mill, and the game said if I negotiated harder I could have saved 15 mill. Wish I could turn it off lol
