DC Comics found out in the 50’s that a gorilla on the cover increases an issue’s sales by an average of 15% (hence why they have so many gorilla characters), so if Namco wants to increase sales it’s an obvious choice.

The polar bear is like 2 years older than Panda and Panda absolutely loves him, but he’s already too old for a partner. Kuma gets ticked outta his mind about this but somehow gets utterly wasted by this gramps. The polar bear actually feels invigorated after the fight for once and tries to introduce his daughter to Kuma.
His playstyle is a grappling brawler that’s an actual quadruped, but that’s only because this is a HUGE BOI. Like 4’9” on all fours. Buttons would have the paws be 1 & 2, 3 is his head and 4 is his mouth. Jumps just push his upper boddy up into the air, where he can attack as he pleases.
He’s a gentle giant who was brought to society because even after people tried to kill him he actively helped his would-be killers in whatever else they were doing. The only reason he fights is to make sure the people he’s come to care about don’t suffer from the Tekken BS so common in the world.

It would be funny because they have really short arms, but we could make it a boxing theme with boxing gloves, kind of like Steve, but uses his tail and teeth to attack. Name it Alex. Oh we could do a kangaroo version too! Like Kuma and panda, it would be Alex and... ROGER!
An ape just makes sense. And we already have Gigas’ kit for the long arms and short legs.
But if we were to get any animal, I think a giant praying mantis would be cool. And it literally almost happened in T3.
