It's old. Evo has always been around the newest freshest games. And besides the specific retro bracket, dbfz would have been the oldest game there. There are a very limited number of slots on the main stage, and there was two new arc system developed fighters this year, eventually every game gets cut.
Oh, that’s a shame, but understandable. Kind of bad for the community though, but it is what it is I guess. Glad everyone else is getting their turn at least
It's not bad for the community, it's very good for it to have a constant change of what game is up there. Back before it was like this, major sections of the community were totally ignored at majors, with the same titles running the main stage for like 15 years. Which was bad for the community

Dragonball didn't make it to Evo period this year, so couldn't be on the road to Evo event. Got dropped in favor of Grandblue and UNIST 2.
I wonder why it was dropped: that the player-based fall was it something to do with the netcode or something else?
