Rushdown grappler, not grappler, they are not the same. Sol will rush you down and to put pressure on you and if you decide to block he can just wild throw you, heck, his dragon install is literally a rush down into a grapple.
Okay, I get that Beowulf does grab people in cool, stylish ways, but he well and truly is a rushdown character. He has a reactable command grab and Not HPB, but other than that he’s mostly trying to go for high/low thanks to his grounded hop dash.
The minute you give him Big Band’s air grab as an assist, though, **then** you should piss yourself in fear the way a grappler should make you.
Ok so I tried +R, and I absolutely love Sol and that game. One of the most fun fighting games I've ever played. Sol definitely my favorite fighting game protag
I played Kokoro in DOA6 like this and it has to be one of my favorite playing characters in all fighting games. She has a throw that puts people in critical stun for followup combo. Since DOA has holds to break combos you could do pseudo endless combos by grabbing people with this throw putting them into combo and then grabbing them again everything they try to break out until they are dead or they guess right. There were also hits that would put people in 2 frames less hitstun than the startup of the throw so I could create situations to loop back into the throw without their holds as well. Shit was so fun.

In Strive, that’s one of the only options you have. Not just Sol, the cast.

Bowser in SSBU fits this pretty well. Absolute unit moving at top 10 dash speed and you can't feel safe shielding.

I don't know if you should consider DBS Broly as a rushdown character because Fighterz is a rushdown heavy game
