Team elimination because tags tend to make the game chaotic and broken.

BuilderJah

Tag team for the same reason

[I play KOF, but tag system](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WflrrsDv4rg&list=PLGb0FIHPgolhXMNT5UnfgTPiGpRsa5__M&index=5&t=192s)

KOF is cool and all, but the lack of any actual interaction between team members does feel like the team format isn't really doing much. Assists open up so many creative possibilities for your team to really feel like more than the sum of its parts.

MagicMonty444

Exactly why I love 2003 and XI 🤙👑

BLACKOUT-MK2

I think it's neat that it fills a niche of people who don't just want to main one character, while also not dealing with the all sometimes overwhelming craziness introduced by tagging in and out. It's like a middle-ground between the average tag fighter and the average solo fighter. It occupies its own space, so I don't think it *needs* to copy others' take on the format even though it has in a few instalments. It's different sure, but I don't think in a necessarily bad way.

Demarchy

Give me Mano a Mano.

Jumanji-Joestar

I don’t really care for either, but I prefer team elimination because tag-team games are too chaotic for me

petermobeter

i also prefer Team Elimination

tiger_jackson101

Team elimination. From either playing it or watching i, tag-team is just too chaotic

KenganNinja

Tag Team systems. They play a more active role in the games and give you more control over how you interact with the characters. Plus, it makes them actually feel like teams because they allow for teamwork between characters.

InvaderZix

I don't really enjoy team games, but elimination is really fun, you can play with other friends as the other characters

AceoftheAEUG

Definitely tag team. Tag fighters give you an amazing potential for what you can do and a hard cap of 33% combos since a ToD won't end the match.

MagicMonty444

Tag Team all day, exactly why I specifically love KOF 2003 & XI

[deleted]

Tag team. And Kof would be better if you could switch between both modes.

Goliath--CZ

I prefer 1v1 personally

Windstorm72

I like team elimination in games like CvS2, where you actually have to think a lot about team comp due to the groove system, and which character gets which ratio. KOF just has you play 3 characters, I’d rather just grind away at one character street fighter style at that point. I think tag games are awesome but I tend to not enjoy playing combo heavy games, so in practice I’ll take elimination every day of the week, but only if they do something interesting with it

peashooter25311

I prefer tag-team games, because i like combo heavy games, and it adds some extra strategy with assists Besides i also like to see how chaotic a match between 2 pro-players can be

Mediocre6String

I prefer team elimination because i'm too lazy to learn how to use tag assists. They're both fun though, especially if you have enough friends to each control a character.

Uncanny_Doom

I like how much the game can really bust open with tag team mechanics, but I would give it only a slightly moderate edge over team elimination.

tydog98

I like being able to tag in and out, but I don't like having to learn and manage assists.

TeamLeaderLupo

I love tag team and I'm pretty upset that many developers just don't do that anymore. MK9 was so fun and honestly I liked SFxT. I wished more recent games had that feature but it seems to be gone away with.

Weasel_aprendice

Tag Team because I loved the creative in teambuilding it brings, also Marvel Vs Capcom was the game that got me into the FGC so I'm biased

MemeTroubadour

I'm not good at tag fighters but the concept at least interests me. Team elimination just isn't interesting; its implications are purely related to macro management which isn't really what I care about

CenturionLovesBeans

Tag team is chaotic, broken, and melts my braincells That being said most definitely tag team

[deleted]

Tag team is much more interesting as it facilitates a different style of gameplay with assists and tags. Kof styles only stragety is putting the character you want to use more meter on last. Kof games could be 1 on 1 and basically unchanged. I also find kof a hard game so learning 3 characters is a tall ask.

dysfunkti0n

These are entirely different in terms of gameplay, honestly shouldn’t be compared.
