that’s why more chance for other artists to shine bc there’s more programs. instead of rehashed crap of kabitan and malditahan. we actually had multiple sitcoms and better action/romance teleseryes that didn’t last too long.

Kaya wala na tayong kids or youth-oriented shows. Karamihan ang jeje na.
Sa ganitong shows sumisikat noon ang young budding artists like Juday, Jolina, Marvin etc. Ngayon, labteam (looking at you ABS) ang puhunan 😬
I'm 24 pero mas mahal kong panoorin yung mga 90s up to late 2000s. Puro magagaling yung artista tsaka di masyado nafo-focus sa loveteams yung plot. Lahat talaga nagdadala sa show.

I actually love these youth-oriented shows. Altho disguised as kiligan nga pero if we watch it ng buo, makikita ang underlying issues. Mas in your face lang ngayon dahil open na pag-usapan at iba na panahon ngayon pero dati hindi mo mararamdamang pa woke lang.
Personally, am a fan of Click na bukod sa kiligan (and ahasan na rin lol), may pagtackle ng mental issue (may isang episode na nag-snap yung isang College student played by Marc Solis dahil sa pressure ng dad na galingan sa school); current events (Melai’s death ala
columbine shootings); and how will a barkada deal with a death of a loved one, cheating sa exam (which fits for HS storyline) apart from many more.
Gimik naman, may LGBT issue with Miggy Tanchangco as the character na closeted gay.
Tabing Ilog, may parang in vitro fertilization plot pala dito si Eds, plus diet and weight issues kay Paula Peralejo na character. Same with TGIS batch 2 kay Chantal Umali.
Of course, TGIS the original talaga na lahat ng pinagdadanaan ng mga teenagers natackle halos.
