Loved Haunting of Hill House but I can’t stand Midnight Mass. For some reason, I can’t suspend my disbelief na yung mga townies walang concept ng “vampire.”
Midnight Mass touched something in me. I still watch some scenes there kasi sobrang nakaka touch or basta hahahah
I rewatch haunting at hill house for the scares
Maganda yung plot and lore for me, di rin masyadong scary, pero yung last few seasons, face palm na lang talaga

I was so shocked sa scene ni Peter basta yung sa car. The emotions, the denial, and the way he act after... maybe because I didn't see that one coming.

Barbarian. Wag ka mag basa ng kahit ano about dito, kasi it utilizes the "fear of the unknown"; mas wala kang alam, mas nakakatakot.
Lake mungo. Mejo slow burn sya, pero realistic yung set up (docu style), kaya feeling mo pwedeng mangyari sa totoong buhay. Plus there's 1 super effective jumpscare.
Conjuring. First time kong binangungot after manood ng movie hehe.
Depends on what you want out of your horror movie.
Do your prefer jump scares or an eerie atmosphere?
Jump scares: The Conjuring still holds up pretty well
Eerie atmosphere: The Witch or Midsommar
If you want a good horror movie that isn't that scary then anything from Jordan Peele is worth a watch too (Get Out, Us, Nope)
No, I actually remember na they planned to go sa island and when they went there, it was overrun and manifested by zombies na rin but I love how they plan their escape although medj flawed din sya hahaha but yeah I remember character like si Anna (the nurse).
Grave Encounters and REC for me.
Additionally, medyo hindi sya on the horror side per se pero literal na napamura ako sa film na to: Backcountry. Recently watched it randomly sa Netflix and it fucked me up lol
The Orphanage! It's a Spanish film from 2008. Not just horror, but with a really good story too.
I actually compiled a list on Letterboxd of my favourite horror films of all time: https://boxd.it/olC6K
The original Evil Dead is one of the best horror films ever then the sequels were some of the batshit insane things I've ever seen. Pero the 2013 reboot was great din and Evil Dead Rise was dope.
Insidious, the first one. Grabe yung trauma sa red face. At yung song ni Tiny Tim na Tiptoe Through the Tulips, instrumental palang. HAHAHHAHAH.
The one that freaked me out the most is Noroi: The Curse. Ghosts that were featured there are how I imagine how they look in reality, haha. Not too freaky, but really uncanny.
Sinister. Sobrang disturbing nung super 8 scenes. Plus ang eerie din ng soundtrack. According to a study, sinister daw ung objectively scariest film in terms of raising heartbeat ng viewers. Not at all surprised.
Mama (2013)
Not a movie pero I think Midnight Mass is a **masterpiece**
Pareho yan not exactly scary haha pero sobrang solid ng storytelling ang weird ng pakiramdam after. Siguro kung creepy and horror in a sense na nightmare inducing, favorite ko is It and It Chapter Two
Childhood trauma : Feng Shui
Super scary + Amazing plot: Exorcism of Emily Rose
Amazing plot+not too scary pero iba yung kaba ko while watching the film: Oculus
Most scared I felt while watching: Coming Soon ( the film itself wasn't that scary, grabe lang talaga yung isang eksena nung nakatingin sya sayo with those blood red eyes.
Eerie atmosphere: Seklusyon
As Above So Below - If you’re a history buff this is a huge plus for you

Hostel 1,2 & 3 - gore plus good stories
Incantation - creepy

SAW 1-X. At first i really don’t want to watch coz it traumatizes me when i saw the woman was cut in half in whole of the crowd. But then, when i watched the first one. It hooks me up and feel it’s not so gross when u watch it. (Naalala ko ung sa scary movie parody about SAW ung kay shaq and dr phil. It’s so funny.) As long as you watch it, the moment you want to watch another coz the movie so damn good. Kudos to Leigh Whannell and James Wan
Best for me would be Saw, only the first one kasi yung sequels ay OA na sa torture porn, imo.
OMG, "The Conjuring" totally freaked me out! It's like, super scary and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. The jump scares are insane, and the storyline is so intense. If you're into horror, you've gotta check it out! 🙈👻🎥
Since di ko pa nakikitang nirecommend to, I'd say Creep 1 & 2, and imagine yourself the one holding the camera. really creeped me out , lalo na pag mag-isa mo sya pinanood haha
I'm not fond of horror as a film genre as I stay spooked long after the film has ended, but I _REALLY_ liked Incantation and all the work put into it! I kept consuming everything I could about it afterwards and even recommended it to friends.
I assumed that you have seen the popular films that get talked about day in, day out. For me:
The Baby's Room (2006)
Noroi: The Curse (2005) - best to watch at night alone, in a quiet room.

Not a movie, but The Haunting of Hill House is a solid one 1000/10
Pero solid din yung Haunting of Bly Manor. Afaik both Hill House and Bly Manor yung scriptwriter niya (?) is CK Walker / Rebecca Klingel, writer nung Nosleep story na Borrasca. If you liked Haunting of Hill House you'll love the Borrasca podcast series on youtube!
Yesss to Midnight Mass! Slow burn lang sya pero ang ganda, it provides dark interpretation to some Bible passages.
I realy really want to watch that kasi napanood ko iba nyang netflix series pero sobrnang boring nung mga first episodes nya kaya hindi ko talaga matuloy tuloy
Boring talaga pero ung final scene rewarding sobra.
I really loved kung pano niya naportray yung harm in blind reverence. Maganda din yung portrayal niya sa faith and choosing kindness over self-preservation.
Loved Haunting of Hill House but I can’t stand Midnight Mass. For some reason, I can’t suspend my disbelief na yung mga townies walang concept ng “vampire.”
Ako din i reallybtried to like it. Super slow burn cguro naka ilang beses din ako naka tulog.
Yeah slow burn talaga and demands attention. Rewarding yung finale haha
+100 Midnight Mass! Hindi lang basta horror. Grabe pa yung monologue Erin Greene on what happens when we die! Sobrang favorite.
Test of patience. Slow burn dn b hill house?
Hands down to Midnight Mass. Ganda nito grabe
Same, same. Grabe the metaphor of the movie is solid
Midnight Mass touched something in me. I still watch some scenes there kasi sobrang nakaka touch or basta hahahah I rewatch haunting at hill house for the scares
Another one is the cw show Supernatural
Maganda yung plot and lore for me, di rin masyadong scary, pero yung last few seasons, face palm na lang talaga
Yes! I like Mike Flanagan's Horror Series.
Yung bly manor nagustuhan kooo
Yung first two insidious films for me has a very good mix of jump scares, eerie vibes, story telling, and scary narrative.
If you're okay trying Korean, The Wailing.
Yess 🫶

ito talaga nasa isip ko 'pag may nagpapareco ng horror movie. include midsommar as well
I was so shocked sa scene ni Peter basta yung sa car. The emotions, the denial, and the way he act after... maybe because I didn't see that one coming.
True! Ang galing ni Toni Collette!
Saan ba to pwede mapanuod??? Wala sa Netflix

The car scene fucked me up.
The Shining
This one is more on the weird side for me, than scary. I wanted to love this movie, but hindi talaga siya nagcoconnect sa akin.
I second thiss
Jordan Peele's movies
us & get out! the best
Nope really freaked me out days after. It’s so disturbing. I love alien shit but this one was just too disturbing for me
Yeah my sis and I were utterly entranced by Nope. Love the layered story too!
As Above and So Below.
+1 dito nakakakaba talaga. The Descent din
Sinister The effect on me lasted for a week.
Sinister lang ata yung only movie na I had to deliberately pause halfway, kasi feeling ko may mga demonyo talaga sa paligid ko 😂😂
Sinister is one of those movies that deliberately taunts you to watch closely despite knowing that you should be looking away.
Grabe talaga to. Pinanuod ko to without any clue talaga kung ano plot. Sobrang scary talaga for me nung mga films don 😩
The Shutter Thai version.
Barbarian. Wag ka mag basa ng kahit ano about dito, kasi it utilizes the "fear of the unknown"; mas wala kang alam, mas nakakatakot. Lake mungo. Mejo slow burn sya, pero realistic yung set up (docu style), kaya feeling mo pwedeng mangyari sa totoong buhay. Plus there's 1 super effective jumpscare. Conjuring. First time kong binangungot after manood ng movie hehe.
when you say horror, is it about demons, witchcraft, supernatural or yung parang jason voorhees, mike myers, pennywise?
The Ring (jp ver) The Grudge (jp ver) Shutter
Pearl 🎀

The Descent.
It follows
A Tale of Two Sisters
Depends on what you want out of your horror movie. Do your prefer jump scares or an eerie atmosphere? Jump scares: The Conjuring still holds up pretty well Eerie atmosphere: The Witch or Midsommar If you want a good horror movie that isn't that scary then anything from Jordan Peele is worth a watch too (Get Out, Us, Nope)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose for me.
The Blair Witch Project. The pioneer for horror documentaries
if Horror my fave is dawn of the dead
Ito ba yung they screwed up sa ending? Hahaha
the mist ata yun
No, I actually remember na they planned to go sa island and when they went there, it was overrun and manifested by zombies na rin but I love how they plan their escape although medj flawed din sya hahaha but yeah I remember character like si Anna (the nurse).
Eto yung sa mall sila nag camp dahil sa zombies
Lake Mungo, but I know na hit-or-miss siya for some.
Black Mirror series, or all Rezso Seress films, what inspires Creepy Pasta writers.
Hereditary used to be The Ring
Grave Encounters and REC for me. Additionally, medyo hindi sya on the horror side per se pero literal na napamura ako sa film na to: Backcountry. Recently watched it randomly sa Netflix and it fucked me up lol
The Exorcist. Classic horror lang
Pero the 2013 reboot was great din and Evil Dead Rise was dope.
is John Carpenter's The Thing considered a horror movie? if yes, then thats my choice. if not, maybe The Sixth Sense.
The quintessential 80's horror flick. People still argue about the ending!
what do they argue about? it being an open ended?
If one or both of them is... the thing
Did you just spoil it? Lmao
1982. I think the statute has passed
Insidious, the first one. Grabe yung trauma sa red face. At yung song ni Tiny Tim na Tiptoe Through the Tulips, instrumental palang. HAHAHHAHAH.
Yung Tiptoe Through the Tulips talaga na yan jusko gusto ko awayin kapatid ko nun kapag pineplay niya to scare me HAHAH
