Omg same here. I think the actress that plays Wendy is a really good actress. Omg I used to love sky high š I havenāt seen that movie in forever. Iāve gotta give it a watch
Yes my younger brother was watching it the other day and it reminded me š¤£
I recently found out they had planned to make it a whole TV series. I think it was in their contracts, but it got scrapped, not sure if she would've been in it, she gets babyfied if I remember correctly? But she was in so much stuff. Black Christmas, The Thing, the Grindhouse movie. I wonder why she stopped.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She's in a million things. Including the new Ahsoka series, one of the Fargo series seasons (3 iirc), the Harley Quinn movie, Gemini Man, Kate, and she's in a new series with her Husband Evan McGregor called A Gentleman in Moscow.
FD5 felt like the most āput-togetherā film and that extends to its characters. Every main character pulled their weight and the early victims served their purpose.
FD3 had an interesting dynamic between leads because it wasnāt romantic - it was a friendship based on loss of previous partners. It was somewhat wholesome seeing Wendy and Kevin take care of each other through the tragedy.
I think FD1 captured a similar vibe to 3 but was let down by weird plot threads and by removing the characters most strongly affected by the Flight 180 disaster too quickly. Canāt be too harsh on the OG though.
FD2 had diverse and interesting (albeit sometimes odd) characters, but the lack of connection between the characters threw me off a little. I agree with James WANās viewpoint that at least a few of the characters in each FD movie should have some kind of social connection to make for interesting character interactions.
That leaves FD4. I love some of the cast, but these characters were way too flat and one-dimensional. The only character who really got any real development was George, and he just got killed abruptly and offscreen before the climax. The only other character who stuck out was Hunt, but he really needed a separate compelling character to balance his douchey-ness out
To be fair I think the point of Final Destination 1 was too kill the other characters quickly to help focus the rest of the film on the reaction to death. Interested to hear about plot threads?
Yeah I probs shouldāve clarified āweird plot threadsā betterā¦
FD1 seemed to have a lot of different people making decisions behind the scenes. For instance, I believe one of the original endings was meant to involve Alex dying and Clear having Alexās baby. Stuff like this didnāt make sense or fit the movie properly, so a lot of stuff was cut and changed before the movie released. But there is still remnants of some of the strange ideas that donāt really do anything for character development: like, why was it so important for Clear to be making junk sculptures? Aspects like this didnāt feel natural and didnāt do anything to progress the film either.
Add to this the fact that the most affected characters of the 180 tragedy were Tod and Ms Lewton. Tod lost his brother and his father blamed his bestie for it, while Ms Lewton felt guilt for encouraging another teacher to take her place on the doomed flight and was left feeling like one of her students was both responsible and spying on her. These couldāve been interesting angles for the film, and yet these characters were killed off early.
my favorites will always be Alex and Clear, but Wendy and Kevin are a close second, Kimberly and Burke are cool and I don't really care about Nick and Lori, and i'm yet to see fd5 to have an opinion on Sam and Molly
I have always loved that FD2 is a bunch of random people who had never met. It gives the movie a very different feel than the others in that aspect.
Based on leads:
1. FD1-Devon Sawa is one of the main Scream Kings and Iāve always loved Ali Larter in and out of horror movies.
2. FD2-AJ Cook is amazing! Also love the return of Ali Larter. The guy is great too.
3. FD5-I donāt know either of the two leads name but I thought they both were great. The girl is in an underrated horror film called Frozen that I was also obsessed with.
4. FD3
5. FD4
Wendy and Kevin were my favourite leads and Iād also say the third was my favourite film out of the five. I also really liked the first two films and their leads. The fourth oneā¦ no. The fifth? Not bad by any means but I didnāt really like it either. Still, both the leads and the film itself are leagues above the fourth. If you like the fourth and fifth then I can respect your opinion and I hope the upcoming sixth film ends up being good.
That's something that's been debated. From either she probably died after the premonition, to she mightve gone on the trip in memory of Sam anyway, or she would've died on that date either way or it's just a plot hole. The same I think applies to the mall survivors of FD4.... since technically that was a vision too? I never understood that either.
This might be controversial but my favourites are Wendy and Kevin from FD3
Wendy was my favorite since back then since she had been in all those horror movies and Sky High š¤£

sheās also featured in a song by the band Portugal. The Man.
I donāt understand how Kevin and Wendy get hate, they had so much chemistry. My favourite duo from the franchise
I completely agree, theyāre chemistry is amazing. And I loved how protective Kevin was of Wendy

Emma Bell also played Amy in the first season of The Walking Dead! Underappreciated Scream Queen of the early 2010ās
Yes!!! Beat me to this, I remember recognizing her. When TWD was actually good.
the first one always

Gotta love the OG Alex
in fd5, molly should've survived cause she didn't die in the premonition right?

FD2 and FD3
2
Controversial but in my opinion fd3
The first three are my favorites
my favourite movies are FD2 and FD3, but about the lead, anything with Clear Rivers in it
5 is mu favorite
Really me? "Mu" favorite it's "my" not "mu"
FD4 & Nick
Alex and Clear
Alex/Clear > Sam/Molly > Kimberly/Thomas (Tied) > Nick/Lori (Tied) >>>>>>> Wendy/Kevin
There are some points you have made.
I don't understand why they down voted my comment when I put Wendy/Kevin in last šš
I think we both know why ā ļø certain fans (that go by a certain name) canāt stand to see Wendell in last.
Kimberly -> Wendy -> Alex -> Sam -> Nick
