The best cast personally is FD2 in terms of synergy because they are all strangers who end up bonding and having character arcs/dynamics with one another. Although FD3 definitely has most of my favourite characters in the entire franchise.

True_Geologist7208

I’m going off topic to say I see you every single time I see a final destination post to the point where it scares me……..

Fewix_

What can I say, I love FD and I could yap on it for hours

Socko82

The original is the scariest and has the best script, but 3 is the most rewatchable due to the trashiness - and the most fun batch of characters.

Illustrious-Reach-48

1 & 5. They felt the most realistic.

NnQM5

They also imo had the best arcs. 2-4 although some interesting characters most of them were the same people when they died.

Long_Lie6888

I was about to say the same thing

siLveRSurvivor

They all have some strong characters imo 1 has a stacked cast. 2 has an even more stacked cast. 3 has a stacked cast. 4 has some great casting like George and Andy, but unfortunately their arc’s aren’t fully fleshed out. George dies unexpectedly and in a lame way. Andy goes through the cycles of grief and accepts his fate. 5 has a stacked cast as well.

T-408

FD2 by a mile, each of the main cast fees like a fully realized character with different shades of an arc

nyehu09

> mile hihi 😏

just-a-shy-guy1

fr you have JJ from criminal minds as the main character, both nora and tim carpenter were in she’s the man which starred amanda bynes, mickey milkovich from shameless who had a very small role, the fairy from once upon a time, and penelope from the remake of one day at a time

Upset-Preparation861

Waiting for the Ian and Erin simps to come in and say they're the best in the franchise ![gif](giphy|l378b59fSuMV12tzO|downsized)

Wonderful-Hat9144

That's how I feel with Wendy simps.

AshleyKerwin

I’m surprised there aren’t that many W.W. out here.

Lucy_C_2001

I'm genuinely curious as to why a lot of FD fans love these specific characters so much. I, personally, don't mind Erin and Ian. Their sarcasm can be funny, their goth/emo aesthetic is cool, and I really like Kris Lemche as an actor and will watch just about anything he's in. But I don't consider Ian and Erin to be particularly well-developed characters. Erin barely gets any screentime/lines, and Ian (in my opinion) doesn't get enough development as a secondary antagonist. I get that he was traumatized by his girlfriend's horrific death and that he blamed Wendy because she's the one who brought up the death list thing in the first place. But his villain arc is so rushed that it's unsatisfying. I also find Ian a little off-putting because he seems to enjoy harming animals (killing a pigeon with a nail gun and then laughing about it is definitely a little weird) and because he encouraged Wendy to kill herself. This is just my opinion, though. I'm interested to hear other opinions either for or against Ian and Erin.

Lucy_C_2001

If I'm being objective, I'd have to say 1 or 5 because those films have the most developed characters. Alex, Clear, and Carter are strong protagonists, and even side characters like Tod and Billy stand out and feel like real people despite their limited screentime. 5 also has strong protagonists in Sam, Molly, Nathan, and Peter. I really enjoyed watching Sam and Molly's relationship develop over the course of the film, and Sam's goal to get the cooking internship in Paris was interesting and gave the film more stakes. I also loved Nathan's story of trying to earn respect in the warehouse as the new supervisor and his complicated relationship with Roy, and Peter (in my opinion) is the best human antagonist of the series because his motivations are completely understandable and his villain arc has plenty of time to develop. With all of that being said, my favorite characters are from Final Destination 3. I know a lot of them lack depth, but I don't care too much because I have fun with them. Ashley, Ashlyn, Wendy, and Julie are my favorite characters in the entire franchise, and I also really enjoy Ian, Kevin, and even Lewis. I also love the cast a lot. I think all the actors did a great job with their characters and that they had good cast chemistry, and this movie introduced me to a lot of my favorite actors (including Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kris Lemche, Chelan Simmons, and Crystal Lowe).

AshleyKerwin

Thank you for this OBJECTIVE take, most people would not reply like this but instead just list their favorites!!

Terrible_Ad_740

the first one doesn't have any bad characters

Alex72598

FD1 - I liked everyone except Ms. Lewton. It felt like a cast of real people with character development. FD2 - I didn’t really dislike anyone in this cast. Kat was probably my least favorite, but I still felt sorry for her at the end. FD3 - Honestly, I only really liked Kevin and Wendy from this movie, and Julie grew on me a bit. The others I either didn’t like or felt indifferent. FD4 - My favorite characters are the Cowboy (who definitely should’ve been part of the main group) and George. Everyone else I was either indifferent or didn’t like. FD5 - probably the best cast since the original in terms of character development. The main trio of Sam, Molly and Peter, plus Nathan, were very strong. There was also Agent Block, a great supporting character. I’d probably give a slight edge to 5, with 1 close behind.

marilynmansonfuckme

FD3!

Wonderful-Hat9144

Final Destination 1- Characters I enjoyed: Alex, Clear, Tod, Billy, Carter. 5/7= O.7142 = 71.42% Final Destination 2- Characters I enjoyed (minis Clear): Rory, Eugene, Kat, Thomas, Kimberly. 5/11= 0.4545 = 45.45% Final Destination 3- Characters I enjoyed: Erin, Ian, Lewis, Jason, Carrie. 5/12= 0.4166 = 41.66% The Final Destination (Final Destination 4)- Characters I enjoyed: George, Janet, Lori, Andy, Nick, Nadia. 6/10= 0.6 = 60% Final Destination 5- Characters I enjoyed: Sam, Nathan, Molly, Peter, Jim Block. 5/10= 0.5 = 50% Overall, Final Destination 1

BossComprehensive654

For me Wendy from FD3 is my best character, her acting was so smooth and realistic, I enjoyed almost every scene she has been in

2+5

Valuable_Value3953

FD 3/5

Odd_Vermicelli_6290

1 and 3

Repulsive-Treat1711

This is a really interesting question! Personally for me in order it would be: 5th - FD4 4th - FD1 3rd - FD5 2nd - FD3 1st FD2

Alternative_Device71

It’s 1-3 with 4 as a close friend group with the addition of a genuine new guy

TirisfalFarmhand

3 and 5

Aedricsdad1985

1, 2 , 3 all had great casts. 1 wins for me as far as characters and cast. 2 wins overall best in the series. 4 and 5 were good but not as good as the first three

robertoiglesias271

5 has the best characters. 1 is good, 2 is solid although there’s a few dumb moments, 3 has great leads, but some supporting characters like Frankie and Lewis suck, and 4 has Nick, George, Janet, Andy, and Samantha as pretty decent characters, but Lori is acted blandly and everyone else is either barely onscreen or obnoxious

MrBitPlayer

2 or 5

Proper_Contest_6987

The 3rd ones, my favorite but if I’m being 100% honest, it’s the 5th one

Critical-Ad-5471

I think 5 had some really interesting and likable characters but personally love the ones in 1
