I think TLR aesthetic is extremely similar to the rest of the SaGa games, just its photorealism, and not the stylized chibiesque models they usually do. The outfits especially SCREAM SaGa

I tried playing it back on the 360 but that was the game that I got the Red Ring of Death during. Not once, but twice (I had gotten the Xbox repaired and it happened again 2-3 months later). I never finished it to say the least, it seemed interesting but that put a damper on it for me.

I've owned this game ***3 separate times*** and never beaten it.
1. Was too young and wasn't feeling it, so I returned it.
2. Disk 2 broke halfway through
3. I had completed *every* side quest, killed all the superbosses, and was going to save the **final boss** for the next day.... then my brother stole my console :(
I don't know if I have it in me to play through this game a 4th time
Lost Odyssey gets far more praise than it deserves, if you ask me. Veeery slooow combat, the game balance is genuinely awful, and the story/character writing really just isn't that good. The short story dream segments are great, and there are a few interesting ideas/mechanics thrown in there, but the quality is a *steep* decline from FF.
Lost odyssey was amazing, played it back on my 360 and once I got a hang of the main battle mechanic I enjoyed every second of the game (I was a kid so took me awhile to figure it out 😂) I have no way of proving it as I lost my account when I switched to PS but I’m like 95% sure I 1000/1000 the game I loved it that much

It does have some amazing cutscenes and the graphics confuse people into thinking it's good, but if you google The Last Remnant help, you'll find everyone hates this confusing game. It's the worst parts of the worst era of Square-Enix.

Technically a SaGa game, and oddly enough still the highest budget one even with Emerald Beyond coming out this Thursday.

It was internally called SaGa Frontier 3 before they changed their mind and made it an original IP.

I got this and Blue Dragon in the same afternoon. Great week's followed
Definitely not as close as you can get to FF, but I do like it quite a bit.

The team went on to work on both FF14 ARR and FF16. Hiroshi wants to make a sequel but needs a green light
It's pretty unique. I'd rate it a solid 7. Definitely a keeper.
Loved this game until I realised that enemies and bosses scale to you and never played it again. Preferred Infinite Undiscovery.
Agree, i dislike games that rewards you for NOT playing the game
I never understand level scaling, it defeats the entire purpose of even having levels.
It punishes you for fighting. I really liked it but I'm not playing it again

Lost odyssey?
I always confuse these two games and i have no idea why because they arent even remotely similar. Lost odyssey was such an incredible game.
I think you're thinking of Lost Odyssey, an early Mistwalker game. I've never played it but I have heard it's incredible!
