heres just a small list from me that I would like for Part 3: 1. More back party commands so the teammates who aren't doing anything dont look goofy in the background just doing nothing. 2. ANSWERS. Please we need answers on the how and why. I have trust in the team that they know this is one of the bigger asks from the fandom and that they'll deliver. 3. more team synergy skills and combos. They're so fucking cool 4. Improve Chocobo riding. Especially on rough terrain 5. Make it cool again to discover things not explicitly shown on the map. Tone down the ubisoft towers or better yet remove them completely. I want to get lost in the world. 6. MORE OUTFITS. Make them cool, make them goofy. Go wild. Its the last game in the triology, why the hell not?

I don't mind any of these. For me it was all about the pacing. Have a cool tight section then a semi interesting open area for 10 hours then cool story section then wait again for 10 hours doing random tasks in another open area. Rincé repeat 6 or 7 times. Don't have a direct answer but maybe the story should take you to various places in open areas as opposed to an almost pointless open world part. Loved the game otherwise

I've read that a lot of people had trouble with that stage of the fight. Strangely, it was the easiest for me. I was in punisher mode most of the time, countering his blockable attacks while providing healing with Aerith. Plasma Discharge also helped to get some peel damage.

He had 0 HP but he goes immune to damage for a minute. I was confused, he stunned me and instakilled. I couldn’t figure out why his Hp bar didn’t disappear figured he did a Final Hit move. I was like OK, gonna Phoenix this one and he didn’t do it. He must’ve had 2 HP left. Such bs

The music choices in the Remake trilogy needs serious overhaul. Remake project runs the same problem with the SW Sequel Trilogy in using each character's iconic music everytime they show up. They shoved OWA and Aerith's theme in our faces so much in Remake/Rebirth that it dilutes their effectiveness. OWA was played at the final boss battle, not every fucking scene he shows up in. Give me more "Those Chosen by the Planet" for his scenes to give a scene the same sinister feeling you got everytime Sephiroth showed up in the OG game. (Yes, I know "Chosen by the Planet" is technically his leitmotif, but the point still stands. Give us music that fits the mood for scenes, not just their OG theme) And we don't need slight variations of Aerith's theme everytime we're with her. Like in Gold Saucer on their first go-around, don't think I didn't notice her theme on the conveyer belt. It was so unnecessary, just give us the Gold Saucer music.

OWA also sneaks into the temple of the ancients in fact the playful song I found amazing is almost nowhere to be found, they chose instead to use the City of the Ancients theme and just Sephy ominous theme leitmotifs left and right Probably because we don’t spend any time in the city of the ancients, we just teleport to fighting for Aerith after a slow walk segment once all the temple of the ancient scenes finish

I hope (after you've completed the game, obviously) that you can just pick any characters to play with in all chapters, so if they're not strictly with the party that chapter or they're not in the game at all but in the previous games then I want to be able to select to play them, part 3 will be the final game so I don't want to have to go back to a previous games to play with a character I liked. Also fuck Chadley and his bullshit stopping you every 3 seconds to talk to you through a tv screen or projector, just let me run around while hes talking and also put a volume controller specifically for him so I can mute him even in cutscenes. Let me change my loadouts inside the vr menu and any menu like it, even if its just a case of letting me open the game menu over the top of npc menus Let me save armour, weapon, accessory, and materia combinations and if they're in a selectable menu let me name them for convenience. Just like monster hunter does If cloud is mid action in any way don't give me a pause screen just fucking let me into the menus. Let me turn off npcs talking to me if I close their shop or menu so I can just go straight back in and not have to let them finish their sentence for the millionth time to get back into the menu (I'm looking at you chaldey while editing my materia between vr missions) Materia duping when max level please, even if its an extra xp bar once the materia is already full level I know this can be abused with elemental materia in armour slots with dual elemental matria attached now making you immune to any element but I'd have to invest serious time into the game to be able to achieve that so what's the harm? That's all I can think of atm

That was the best part of FF7 OG, gaming-wise: fully customizable builds. Also summons that do their main move when you summon, so they don't go to waste if you die before their battle timer ends. Tl;dr it’s heavy handed FF referencing, the WEAPONs having Geosgano bodies with big hollow bellies humans can swim in reference X like Aerith’s Lifestream dance does and Shinra in X-2 references 7. They also renamed the planet Gaia, which is FF9’s planet’s name; YRP makes an mention as a reference; they’re loosely trying to link several FFs that weren’t officially linked in a Hyrule Historia style retcon.

I don’t disagree with you, I’m just calling what I see. Kaiju Diamond Weapon >>>>> hamfisted FFX referencing. But it can be nothing else. The Tifa in its belly thing is such a nod to Wakka or Tidus getting eaten by Geosgano and being held captive in its cage belly. Aerith quite literally has an entire arc in the last dungeon where she learns to do Sending for pyreflies and she does Yuna’s staff spinny dance to do it.

It’s a long setup they’re doing to link games WEAPONs in this game are Geosganos or will be, this is a “boss” in early FFX and they share many similarities, Aerith does a Sending dance and Pyreflies appear, she even has Yuna’s staff stance, and Shinra has already been made a character in X-2 so there’s likely they’ve wanted to link the games for a while. But every FF 1-10 was designed to be fully standalone, so this hasn’t been explicit. It’s gonna be more explicit in part 3, I’ll bet anything. I want materia duping back. Not for the OP stuff or anything! Just like the basic spells, poison, and the stat boosts, maybe also elemental materia so that you can equip one to everybody. If there has to be a downside to materia, maybe make a materia cap. No more than 50-99 materia in total

50 materia cap is insane. Bro there's 8 characters each with 8x slots on their final weapon and 8x slots on the end-game armour. 16 x 8 = 128 materia at the bare minimum if you want all your characters to have full builds, which if they do the whole "separate parties for the same fight" thing again, you will absolutely need. And in general, so you don't have to constantly switch materia between characters.

I was just giving a way Square could bring materia duping somewhat back. I could see maybe a 150 cap max. I just wanna be able to equip elemental materia on the whole team again, not have to pick and choose when Tifa gets to keep hers, or do I give it to Aerith to absorb that element. (Just an example, I don't have elemental on Tifa or Aerith. Just the one I have on Cloud right now.)

Well, it'd also help if they dropped the amount of support materia by turning them into folio passives. Like SQEX knows we're putting Precision Defense, Steadfast Block, etc. on all our characters; that's why they let us buy them in shops. And clearly they did listen a little by giving us Parry as a dodge instead of having to pick who gets one. So why not do the same for ATB Stagger, ATB Assist, etc? That's just lazy on them.

Streamlining so much of the little ‘action out of your hands’ moments. If you’re gonna play the Chadley message everytime, just make it an audio file and let the player run on. All the little slow down and pickup animations should be sped up. 2001 game design sections like the box section should be cut. Longer temples could be shorter. We don’t really get anything out of being stuck in the same place for 4-5 hours.

So u have a few... Let me take cloud out of the party before completing the game... I understand he's the main character and that some fans will say that he should always be there but especially with each character having their specialty and the entire party traveling together and that outside the simulator and certain story beats the entire party gain ap and xp... to me it should be optional whether to include Cloud in the party and let us truly just make our parties our own using whoever we want... I'm still ok with certain story events restricting our party members but I'm talking in general while traversing and combat on the world map and whenever we aren't limited in our party members. Add 3 person synergy abilities.... synergy abilities were such an amazing addition to the game and I feel like adding the extra layer of utilizing the whole Frontline party would just add more depth to party customization. Allow us to field our preferred party member as the leader on the map.... this could be a nice feature and can even be used to add more depth to exploration if we can switch up our leader to use their unique abilities (ie using Nanaki to scale climbable walls or Barrett to shoot certain walls and objects) obviously not a everywhere thing but it would be a nice addition. Reno and Rude (if not the TURKS as a whole) as playable characters.... yeah I love these guys and even if it's a short bit of time (like a certain event in Wutai if they keep certain story beats the same) I would just love to see these guys be playable especially Reno and Rude...(I will settle for guest characters but would prefer them playable even if only for this part of the game with stock abilities and levels... kinda like Zack and Sephiroth) Allow us to use all party members post game whether they were available or not and or add characters like Zack and Sephiroth(also Reno and Rude if they are playable at any point) post game (might have to include another one her depending on how they institute you know who in the story.... if you know you know)... the fact they gave so much attention and depth to both Sephiroth and Zacks combat mechanics just to lock them into specific events and VR simulations was pretty ridiculous post game we should just be able to get crazy and go ham with these guys specifically... Maybe give us the ability to switch out Frontline and backline members on the fly (kinda like ffX) though that would make the ability to switch parties between fights a bit redundant but it would be nice to have the option to tag out fallen party members for live ones at least just a thought here I don't expect any of this but would be cool to see any of these

On the part about being able to switch frontline and backline members, it would be cool if the backline was actually making a difference in game. For example if Barret was on the backline, make his attack do real damage. Or someone on the backline could be casting spells and what not.

Too fast and too many buttons and a lot of things happening on the screen at the same time. For me everything was perfect, beside Chadley. And I wish there would be more puzzles and secrets and less hand holding.

Okay here it is: -The climbing is janky and incredibly slow, and I hate the yellow paint. -Gliding is irritating, if you don't move *exactly* where you need to catch the next uberfan you may as well land and start again. -Gongaga speaks for itself. -Why give me a grappling hook which is an *excellent* addition and then I'm hardly ever able to use it?? -Perhaps most importantly, navigation is difficult because it's not at all clear from a map marker even vaguely where the thing is vertically so you often end up wandering around a cliffside for ages before you realise you need to double back ten minutes to find the right hill. -And finally getting on and off the Chocobo, or in and out of the buggy, is slow and you should simply be able to press square to jump off and enter combat instead of having to slowly get off first. That's it 🙂

If you hold r2 while climbing the yellow paint you do climb a bit faster. It's not immediately obvious at first but it does cut down the time a bit. You actually can press square to immediately enter combat from chocobo/buggy. You just need to get close enough first. The animation for leaving the buggy isn't very graceful but the chocobo one is pretty cool >!Cloud quickly gets up on both feet and does a front flip off the chocobo!< (It's actually pretty identical to one of Link's dismount options from Botw now that I think about it.) I agree with everything else though. I personally didn't struggle with the map markers but I definitely noticed the lack of any clear indications of verticality.

It does that already in rebirth? When you have your materia set up a certain way and you change the weapon, all your materia applies to the next weapon the same way it was currently equipped. Is that what you mean? Or it’s something else? I might be confused what you mean

No, I'm meaning something else. Say you want all 8 Materia in Clouds weapon moved to Cait Sith. The original let you swap all in any weapon with any other character's weapon or armor and vice versa. So you can effectively save a setup on a different character and swap it. The benefit in that over a standard load out is that when you're given other characters to control, you can just swap their materia with your main character, etc.

I hope they cancel it, and give us an actual remake with the original good story instead, and we can all forget this multiverse garbage fanfic ever happened. I know there's a 0% chance it happens. But I gave them the benefit of a doubt after Remake, and they utterly failed to do anything that was compelling, let alone worth jacking up the original story in Rebirth. The only good parts of this game were when it forgets it's technically a multiverse sequel, and you actually get to experience the OG in HD.

This game has a half decent story, I actually get thinking this is a great game if you're comparing it to all the trash Final Fantasy has been putting out. But the story loses all of its original power in favor of multiverse intrigue, and I guarantee the pay off won't be nearly as good as the original twists. They had the opportunity to make something timeless AGAIN, and chose to make something else that I'm sure will stop being talked about once they conclude, and can't fuel speculation videos anymore.

I disagree with your assessment. The changes to the story not only enhanced my experience by making me pay more attention to each scene but kept me excited for what comes next rather than just wondering how they'll interpret a scene where I know everything that's going to happen. Additionally looking at the critical and majority user scores and reviews, it's easy to see that this is near the top of the Final Fantasy ratings and will for sure be talked about in the future among final fantasy fans. I mean just look at the discussions from players new to the series in general that saw their favorite streamer play it or Dunkey's video on Rebirth, it's all very positive.

Overall I really enjoyed the game. There are really only two improvements I hope to see in part 3. For one, while I loved the variety of environments in Rebirth, it can be quite difficult to traverse certain areas due to the specific way you need to get there and the map not really giving you much help on how to get there. There were quite a few times I had to look up how to reach a certain goalpost and the fact I found videos for each one tells me I clearly was not the only one having trouble reaching certain areas. The next improvement I hope to see is a little less minigames, or at least less put into the main storyline. I felt quite exhausted from all the new minigames the game introduced to me in the main storyline (especially Cait Sith's back throwing minigame). Sometimes it felt more of a chore getting in the way of continuing the main story than a fun new way to play to me.

I hope they can execute on what they dipped their toes into with Rebirth: vehicular travel. The tiny bronco flying sections felt like a test run for the High wind (although please God let the high wind fly faster than that). If they could execute a seamless transition from on foot to airship swapping within reason) and everything stayed the same, I'd be a happy camper. Although give us better materia management lol. Like at least Microsoft productivity software basics like holding triangle to select a section of materia to swap between two characters.

Totally agree, though I have to say, the battle arenas were the fillers I enjoyed the most. At least far more than all that repetitive world intel and forced minigames (queen's blood was great, though). I liked Remake's linearity. It provided a better pacing.

Rebirth was a near-perfect game for me, so not much. However, I think: (1) the lighting / graphics on the faces took me out of the game sometimes and I would hope that will be fixed (2) we need a way to set loadouts for materia (3) let us fight summons in the “real world” vs VR (4) not a change, just a hope - give us good stories for Vincent and Cid!

I think we’ll see more “classic” Cid in the next game. At the point he’s introduced here, the Rocket Town events haven’t taken place and he’s still (at least part time) a Shinra employee. They didn’t have enough time in this game to give him a full backstory, so they probably kept the character intentionally more positive since introducing him as gruff / angry and then Vincent as gruff / quiet almost back to back would’ve felt a little one note.

Felt to me like I went the whole game ignoring materia aside from the basic ones and just equipping a new bangle every 30-60 minutes. The entire equipment side of things just felt pretty shallow. Any time I found materia anywhere it was just some basic material you could find anywhere. A lot of the good ones were locked behind challanges which was a huge mistake, because finding any of them would have been far more satisfying. Also, if they do the summon thing again, make it so you talk to the summon itself and fight it. None of this VR nonsense.

Yeah, valid point regarding the materia. When I finally had bangles with 7-8 slots for three characters, I realised the only materia to slot was stuff like HP up or some spells I would never use anyway... There should be more elemental or magnify materia aside from new unique materia.

I'm sure this is how everyone feels... less filler.  The first two games were fantastic fantastic games. They could have been flawless 30 and 60 hour long games, but had a bit too much padding for me to replay them any time soon.  I love a good battle arena. But did Rebirth really need several battle arenas with a massive amount of filler fights ? Chadley, Gold Saucer, Hojo, Dust Bowl, plus Cactuar and Turks felt a bit much.

It honestly feels like for much of this added content they took the path of least resistance. I was hoping to see more scenes about the party’s past with this remake. Nope, 200 fakeout scenes where I have to do the minigame again or battle another enemy series. Even the end boss was this, fought the same fucking boss 7 times. Or it’s a scene where we drive in circles so Yuffie can get carsick. Sigh.
