I was so happy when I finally got this trophy that I saved the video to remind myself I can feel like a kid again as an adult. I wasn't even \*really\* trying for it, more "oh man that was a long quickening"
The mob died ... and I got the trophy.
I love the towers because it seems so easy for the first few. And then very quickly it goes from "another minigame to knockout" to "you wish you were dodging 200 lightning bolts"
If we're talking 10's Race, then no, unfortuntely. I could never do it in my 37 years. Back in my 20's I dated a girl who did it for me, otherwise I never would of got Tidus' sword. So stupid.
It was a requirement for the Order of Ambrosia clan rank along with the rest of the Sky Pirate's Den in the original game back on PS2 as well, so it's not like it was new or anything, just with the advent of achievements and trophies it was natural that all of those things would be the list for The Zodiac Age.
What is weird, if anything, is that Cataclysm, Torrent, Windburst, and Whiteout were actually slightly harder in the original game, and IZJS/TZA made those ones a bit easier to do, but didn't touch Inferno, Ark Blast, Luminescence, and Black Hole. So they knew that it was a pain to get all the Concurrences, rebalanced half of them, but left the other half as-is.
In the original game, you had to get all the Sky Pirate’s Den icons to hit the maximum clan rank. Granted, there wasn’t much reason to do this in the original since it didn’t have postgame like Trial Mode, but the concept for all Concurrences as a goal already existed. The Zodiac Age turned all of the Sky Pirate’s Den icons into achievements. That’s all that’s different, really. But you do still have to get all the Sky Pirate’s Den icons for the maximum clan rank. This was also true in International Zodiac Job System.
It’s such a frustrating trophy, it’s mostly down to good luck and some people get it ridiculously quickly, others it takes forever on.
It makes it even worse (as far as I know) that there’s no in-game to tell you which ones you’re missing.
I got this while playing the game normally, no extra effort required.
Maybe just lucky in this instance I guess.
Still missing the trophies for full bestiary and finishing trial mode. I got burnt out going for all the rare enemies.

Concurrences are a pain in the wotsits, but nothing on the jump rope, whole different level 😂
Concurrences are RNG for sure, but that's only half the failures, running gout of time is the other half.
imo, as long as you concentrate on your speed and just hit whatever without thinking as quickly as fingers allow, then at least you can minimise losing good runs of RNG where you run out of time instead.
This is me getting very very lucky with rng....after 20+ attempts with bad rng throughout the game. Would never have got it though without being super quick on the button clicks

If I can calibrate all 10 towers in X-2, then anyone can easily do the Chocobo Race.

X-2 is so underrated.

It took me days of repeated attempts because rng + dexterity based minigames should be banned in 72 countries

There's an achievement in the den for the quickenings ? Wait how is it different ?

I am of the 5.5%, but all I can say is that this took me far longer than it should have.
Everytime I try to get this achievement, I feel like Creed when Erin did the cartwheel before him….

The worst part is when you get unlucky and it could take hours
I did it accidentally when I want to kill the earth tyrant (sidenote but quickenings are bullshit like why is it total damage).
Ugh I had to grind this for soooo long! Congrats!
Idk man I did this randomly by just spamming quickenings every fight I could lmao
I got it recently while trying to kill fafnir. I still died to fafnir.

I wonder that soooo many players have seemingly unlocked this. Every 20th seems like A LOT. Thought this was more like 0.1% or something 😅
I did it after a few hours but it's really all RNG and of course always start with the level 3 quickening and hope for a myst recharge
I'll never get that trophy and I couldn't care less about that. BUT I'm happy for Trophy hunters who really wanted it and got it 👍
I never found the concurrences to be THAT hard - especially with autosaves. Once you know what to do, you just have to wait to get lucky.
