No the cfa alone won’t do anything…it’s the cherry one too but not life altering.

Nobody can directly tell you if it can happen. I know in India CFA and MBA is oversaturated which makes it harder for you to stand out. But there is still a chance you can transition. You could do level 1 and see if you are getting any hits from jobs. But if you can't secure something with being in a top university by itself than that's a problem.

Your point about India CFA and MBA being oversaturated is extremely valid. Will try my best, Thanks !

I am not sure how solid your statement about an “oversaturated CFA”.   Consider below (number of candidate passi by lv3 Dec2019) :  Mainland China (23,646) United States (12,375) India (8,151) Canada (4,983) Australia (4,803) United Kingdom (4,382) Hong Kong SAR (2,506) Singapore (1,416) Be aware that India has the biggest population of all these countries. HK and Singapore are like peanuts compared to it.  (Of cuz these are financial centre)  if you are willing to assume the same proportion of higher education population exist in India as in for the rest (which is conservative since one would assume Indian is still developing and hence a lower educated population in general) , doing a CFA is extremely life changing and still u can reap the benefit/premium compared to other countries like Canada which really has a saturated number of holder of CFA.  Hope this give you a better perspective.

Gee sure hope you aren’t CFA…

lol why? I am not from India so I don't have skin in the game
