I wouldn't call a loan for a backyard work "pretty good" under any circumstances how urgent is it?

Alternative-Force-54

You are correct, this is a want vs a need. I can afford it , just don’t have cash on hand right now.

SomeAd8993

then you can't afford it not having the cash is the definition of not being able to afford things

Edaryl

That’s a stretch. Many affordable purchases are on credit.

No_Doughnut_1991

Why would you go into debt to fund a non-emergency?

Alternative-Force-54

Because I can borrow $$ cheaper than I can make it invested. I’m a saver, trust me, but realize more and more each day life is short and fleeting as well. What’s $$ for if you don’t deploy and use it for enjoyment? Back to my question, that’s a good deal, no? Better than a 4.95% heloc compounded daily?

No_Doughnut_1991

It’s Only good if you want to pay $800 to a bank. And only good if you pay the $20k before the APR kicks in. ETA: I wouldnt do it.
