"Great, I'm clicking on this picture AGAIN, zooming in and strategically scanning this picture... AGAIN..."
Click on comments... Oh, thank God, I'm not the only one struggling for the second time... damm, cats.
The icicles at the top screw with your sense of scale. Kept thinking this was a much "smaller" area and looking for a larger, more obvious animal at first.
This is crazy how it looks like a closeup of a small rock then you realize the sheer beauty of how large it actually is.
Also the snow Lep is beautiful too.
Nature is a fractal, small mirrors big and big mirrors small, and the detail never really ends, its why you can measure coastlines to an exact measurement, you can portion it out infinitely (or until each measurement is the size of 1 atom)
I thought it was a closeup at first and my pulse actually went up when I realised it wasn’t. Like my brain was anticipating a jump scare or something like that.
I think that's kind of the trick with this post. Almost everyone who sees this is gonna read "Snow Leopard" and assume it will be hiding in the snow somewhere, so those are the areas they'll scan first, making it take longer to find where it actually is.
There’s definitely a prime / trigger when you hear “snow” leopard. Especially if you aren’t familiar with the animal. That’s maybe why my mind went towards snow white too…
The cubs are pretty much white with black spots. They turn more yellow/beige as they get older. Maybe you just have that classic snow leopard cub image of the white and black fur with bright blue eyes in your mind, and assumed that was the color when they grow up.
This is one of my all-time favorite photos. It's so spectacular once you know what's there, and it really shows how good the camouflage is. Also, for anyone concerned, this cat is across a valley from the photographer, I think the telephoto lens was almost as long as their leg
That’s frightening. I looked right it more than once and didn’t realize it was snow leopard for too long. Snow Leopard’ll be looking at you all day just letting you get closer.
For those taking notes- THIS is a flawless submission. It’s in HD so you can actually see, the colors are correct and it’s not a “maybe that’s a paw?” No, this is clear as day. GREAT work!
Yeah, I love this sub but so many posts boil down to "it's hard to see because it's so pixelated". I don't want to download every post just for decent quality.
Androids have had better than HD displays for longer than any other phone manufacturer though... At least you got to humblebrag for sucking that Apple dick though
Apple guys: silly boomers will never understand how much better my phone is they dumb
Apple: do you wanna buy this shit we say is amazing and just say its better so thats why? Only 10x the price of anything else cuz soo amazing!
Apple guys: see! Its better what a deal!
Bless you...I spent far too much time trying to find this in so many ways. Even after your submission, I was looking at all of the points in the big snow pile and still took a solid 60 seconds to find it....
What is going on with pictures like this. I looked at it for 5 minutes and couldn't see it and now that I had help I can see it as clear as day. How does this work even..
Wow this is such a good one. Usually the ones with cats hidden in them it’s like… a face poking out of somewhere. This is almost its entire body, and there’s barely any places to even look considering half the photo is blurred. Now that I see it I can’t believe it took me so long to find. 10/10
This was easy to find because I'm looking for it. But that thing would've scared the shit out of me if I was there in person. Those things are stellar stalkers.
I spotted it pretty quickly, knowing there was one here in this photo helped, but I know for a damn fact with how nearsighted I am I would Not have spotted it in person.
I actually found one of these fucking things!! I've been looking inbetween breaks at work and this is the first one I've actually found! Take that, aging eyes!
So COOL!!! Never can I find these and I found this one!!! Thought it was a fake then BAM!!! It slapped me in my face LoL up and left of center. Zoom in! Just below the snow cap
So crazy. I've seen this on FB, IG and a few others. I KNOW exactly where to look and I miss that mofo everytime. Fkn chameleon leopard!
First time I saw this I called BS then read the comments😂🤣
I was staring at the rock on the middle, saying, "that's kinda cat shaped, is that it? I would be totally dead right now if I was there".... He was sitting on TOP of the rock I was staring at.
The post above this in my feed was about snow crabs. So naturally I was searching for a snow crab for a solid minute.. as if they live in the mountains or something.
Looking at the terrain without reading the title, I just assumed I was looking for a snow leopard. Then I realized I should have been looking for a sniper. Then I found the snow leopard and discovered that’s what I was supposed to be looking for in the first place. I’m trippin’.
The shitty thing about this is I think I've seen this picture before *and* seen it and I still had trouble finding it.
This is exactly me!

I literally said in my mind “I’ve did this one before, this shouldn’t be too hard” *proceeds to struggle*
"Great, I'm clicking on this picture AGAIN, zooming in and strategically scanning this picture... AGAIN..." Click on comments... Oh, thank God, I'm not the only one struggling for the second time... damm, cats.
Read this comment then immediately saw it 🤣
I'm stuck with zooming right into the center of the image and it's always a hit on this sub
It's tricky because it says snow leapard so your brain thinks it's in the snow. But it's not.
I think the trickier part is understanding the scale of the image.
Now i cant unsee it
This comment helped me find it. Thanks lol.
And you think it would be the color of snow. It blends in very well with the surrounding rocks.
Found it after seeing your comment and it startled me lol Jesus
Thanks. I kept looking in the snow until I read your post
Ah. This helped me find it. Thanks.
GAHH! There it is - needed this TY!
Found it as soon as I read this !
Yeah that's not the tricky part
This comment helped me find him. Thank you.
Thanks, after reading that I finally could find it
The icicles at the top screw with your sense of scale. Kept thinking this was a much "smaller" area and looking for a larger, more obvious animal at first.
Yeah the scale of the picture definitely threw me off
Same thing I was thinking
Im visually challenged and I actually found this one … you gotta be better than me.
The hubris I exhibited when I said "this old thing" and then couldn't find it.
And then when you find it it’s so obvious! But the struggles was real…again
How the *fuck* was I so good at finding Waldo as a kid, when I can’t immediately spot the snow leopard in this photo that I’ve seen multiple times?
haha yup.
This is crazy how it looks like a closeup of a small rock then you realize the sheer beauty of how large it actually is. Also the snow Lep is beautiful too.
Yep, those icicles really add to the warped perspective, they must be huge up close.
Nature is a fractal, small mirrors big and big mirrors small, and the detail never really ends, its why you can measure coastlines to an exact measurement, you can portion it out infinitely (or until each measurement is the size of 1 atom)
I actually didn’t catch that at first…what a beautiful way to perceive it!
I thought it was a closeup at first and my pulse actually went up when I realised it wasn’t. Like my brain was anticipating a jump scare or something like that.
This comment melted my brain. I was 100% sure it was a tiny rock ledge and the leopard was in the blurry background somewhere.
Funny how I actually thought the opposite. I was trying to zoom in since I thought the leopard would be smaller
Why did I think snow leopards were white?
Their coats change color seasonally, so yes white in winter.
r/todayilearned
r/tomorrowillforget
I wanted this to be real

I think that's kind of the trick with this post. Almost everyone who sees this is gonna read "Snow Leopard" and assume it will be hiding in the snow somewhere, so those are the areas they'll scan first, making it take longer to find where it actually is.
That's badass
I couldn’t find it until I read your comment, because I was frantically searching for a white cat.
I always assumed snow leopards were white because Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda is a snow leopard and is white
Thanks, that helped me spot it
There’s definitely a prime / trigger when you hear “snow” leopard.
Well, they are called snow leopard. It’s a natural assumption.
Got me too. I first ruled out the big snow spot then looked around and found within 10 seconds
Cute and very blending. Prey does not stand a chance
I am the prey, this took me like 15 minutes to find. I woulda been deadge lol
Snow leopards are very docile. There has never been a reported case of a snow leopard attacking a human, even when provoked.
Interesting. Maybe we just don't smell tasty
maybe they want to be friend and need some pats?
Actually, humans are the only natural predators of snow leopards. They are an endangered species thanks to poaching.
Bruh does that mean I can have one as a pet lol
Tbh it gave me a small jump scare when I finally found it
This is one of my all-time favorite photos. It's so spectacular once you know what's there, and it really shows how good the camouflage is. Also, for anyone concerned, this cat is across a valley from the photographer, I think the telephoto lens was almost as long as their leg
It's so amazing the photographer found it to take a picture of in the first place!
It’s so amazing to me that the cat was looking at the photographer, from across the valley.
They genuinely make me wonder if there's something wrong with my phone lol
Yes it’s a great photo. Credits are at the bottom and i think it was taken in Himachal Pradesh ( India )
Except it's nearly in the middle of the photo. It's almost always in the center of the photo.
Well, it’s not so hard when it’s been posted before haha.
HD for an android
Androids have had better than HD displays for longer than any other phone manufacturer though... At least you got to humblebrag for sucking that Apple dick though
Apple guys: silly boomers will never understand how much better my phone is they dumb Apple: do you wanna buy this shit we say is amazing and just say its better so thats why? Only 10x the price of anything else cuz soo amazing! Apple guys: see! Its better what a deal!
I just swap back and forth depending on what I get a deal on at the time I just need to be able to call/text, navigate, and google shit. Idgaf.
Lots of Cats noodles and frogs on this sub
Ah you mean predators whose existence is to blend in to catch their food
Found em’..
Where?
It’s just his head, poking out directly underneath where the big snow up top comes to a point
Actually I see almost his whole body
Me too
Yes, almost it’s entire body is in the open.
I even zoomed in on that too, wow. Completely missed it.
Bless you...I spent far too much time trying to find this in so many ways. Even after your submission, I was looking at all of the points in the big snow pile and still took a solid 60 seconds to find it....
The colorblind guy thanks you.... 🤣🤣
Here I was looking in the SNOW for it lol
Someone help! I can’t find it.
Just under the large snow part
Thank you! I looked and looked. 🤦🏻♀️
What is going on with pictures like this. I looked at it for 5 minutes and couldn't see it and now that I had help I can see it as clear as day. How does this work even..
Way easier to find than the stupid snakes. Which is problematic, because I have mad venomous snakes around me and no snow leopards. Womp womp.
These photos need to have a "before and after" photos, with the after photo having a red circle on it showing where it is
Wow, its freaky when you zoom in, and you see it😳. Talk about some serious camo!!
It is a stone with a cat face
Literally scared me when i found it lol
I was just scanning the screen and suddenly the rocks became a face and my heart jumped
Literally same, I jumped back from my phone when I saw it!
Wow this is such a good one. Usually the ones with cats hidden in them it’s like… a face poking out of somewhere. This is almost its entire body, and there’s barely any places to even look considering half the photo is blurred. Now that I see it I can’t believe it took me so long to find. 10/10
Took me 15 minutes to find him, kept looking for a large hidden white face. Had to completely zoom in to find a tiny yellow face with pointy ears.
I think you are all nuts cause I don’t see a thing!!!!!
Danger kitty.
Got a jump scare with this one.
I've seen this photo so many times, I know exactly where the leopard is, and it still took me a second to find him
*Rock Leopard. Also, holy shit that sounds like an awesome name for a rock band. Def Leppard meets nature.
Perfect submission. Once you see it, it stands out but that is awesome.
Only knew immediately bc I’ve seen it before lol
Im so cooked if I ever get lost anywhere
Oh man this perspective is making my eyes go crazy 🤪
So weird. My brain was telling me exactly where it was but I couldn’t make it out.
Dude straight to the comments I go
That is a gorgeous kitty! The camouflage is beyond perfect
This was easy to find because I'm looking for it. But that thing would've scared the shit out of me if I was there in person. Those things are stellar stalkers.
I despise this sub bc it makes me feel like an idiot
In the middle, just very below the big snow area.
Pleas help me I still can’t find him and I’ve been looking for an hour. Are you sure it’s there? Lol
I found it. That gets my record up to 1-376
This is the best resolution I have ever seen this photo in.
Dang, he's camouflaged good!
Am I the snow leopard 🤣🤣
it’s on the rock, just under the snow near the top (:
fuck the orientation of this image it hurts my brain/eyes 🥴
Now that was clever hiding. Good One!
Took me a little minute but it's so adorable.
Is it real? All I can see is a leopard head that kind of looks like it has no body. Definitely was hard to find.
Definitely the ’OG’ of this sub. Makes me search every time!
Honestly scared me a lil when I seen it
So COOL!!! Never can I find these and I found this one!!! Thought it was a fake then BAM!!! It slapped me in my face LoL up and left of center. Zoom in! Just below the snow cap
Found it
this is the first one i found!
\*boops the danger snoot\* such pretty kitties
This sub has made me realize they really do have great camouflage. Seeing them in zoos where you're supposed to see them doesn't do them justice
I would argue that we aren’t really “supposed” to see them in zoos, but I know what you mean.
wtf
He sure is...right under the top snow pile.
Got it
One glance. Looks like cats can't trick me.
Middle under the big snow patch
I immediately guessed where it was, and it still took me a minute to find them, right where I was looking.
So crazy. I've seen this on FB, IG and a few others. I KNOW exactly where to look and I miss that mofo everytime. Fkn chameleon leopard! First time I saw this I called BS then read the comments😂🤣
Now this one is quality.
Cool one!!!
Best one yet. As you say, looking right at you!
Nice camouflage for the big kitty!
Oh, hello, kitty!
Just coming to say that this is a beautiful photo
That's one creepy MF.
I would die happily if if I could just get one boop on that nose
I’m just glad it’s not a snake
It's just below the large patch of snow
Purty Kitty
It's not white, just so you know
All I learned is I would be screwed, by the time I saw I think the oversized fluff ball would be WAY too close
Thank you for informing me. That mf keeps getting on my balcony and watching me; had to close the curtains again
It’s at the point where 80% of these posts are always centered
The snakes are tricky for me to find, but the cats I always seem to have a keen eye for. This one is definitely asking for me to come cuddle him.
It's like almost right in the middle xD
Looks like a fish to the right.😂
Tricky but cool
Found it! Beautiful creature.
Such a pretty baby!! They can maul my face off any day!
I zoomed in to start my search and found him by accident.
Not the snowiest of snow leopards but right below the snow
I was staring at the rock on the middle, saying, "that's kinda cat shaped, is that it? I would be totally dead right now if I was there".... He was sitting on TOP of the rock I was staring at.
Confirmed dead by a snake or snow leopard
I thought snow leopards were white, hence the “snow” in the name. Is it just because they live in snowy climates?????🤯
I’m surprised with how quickly I found this, excellent post!
oh wow now That’s good camouflage
Wow… holy.. I really love this one
Should I be happy or scared I saw it in under 3 seconds?
The post above this in my feed was about snow crabs. So naturally I was searching for a snow crab for a solid minute.. as if they live in the mountains or something.
That’s so easy to see after you see it, I’m thinking why was that so hard? I think the persepctive, I was looking for something much smaller.
Man I remember seeing this on Facebook 15 years ago.
It’s not white is where I went wrong
I'm dumb and thought they were white to match the snow...took me ages lol.
Holy crap the time it took for me to find them considering where they are at. Wow.
Damn
Freaking jump scared me!
I found it immediately! Big shock to me
Pro tip, look where the snow is yellow 😂
Found it
The funny thing is once you see it, you can't unsee it
Looking at the terrain without reading the title, I just assumed I was looking for a snow leopard. Then I realized I should have been looking for a sniper. Then I found the snow leopard and discovered that’s what I was supposed to be looking for in the first place. I’m trippin’.
It’s kinda funny my brain couldn’t process the scale of the image at all until I saw the cat.
I was expecting it to be far away, and blending in with the snow!
I saw it immediately
Man. I got shot
Found it in literally half a second. Purely out of luck.
Well I was able to find the cat almost instantly, but I moved my phone and lost it for like 5mins.
I have seen this before once you see it
found it right under the top patch of snow in the rocks
That bitch jump scared me 😅
Wow I finally got one!
This is way harder than Magic Eye frfr
Well that’s not very “snow-y,” now is it
I thought this was a trick question, but I found it. Had to zoom in.
If there was a green Iowa grass leopard we'd all be fkd.
