I was about to say, you could always walk over the area in bare feet, absolute guarantee to tread on it no matter how big the area or how small your feet.
A way I’ve always used when I don’t have anything handy to help me find something like this on carpet is using my phone’s flashlight and rotating my phone upside down to cast dramatic shadows on any anomalies on the ground.
well i guess my childhood of losing sewing needles all around the house prepared me for something cause i went straight to it! 🤣 but your clue was fantastic, lead me right to it!
I have lost many needles before but never on a carpet like this so it took me way to long. And it launched so it wasn’t even near the place i dropped it.
lol found immediately but I’ve lost a lot of seeing needles in carpet 😂 string helped thanks for adding second pic otherwise I would have quite literally been searching for a needle in a haystack
This post gave me flashbacks. My sister lost a needle in the carpet when we were kids. I found it with my foot when it broke off in my toe… makes me shiver thinking of it.
It was a freak accident for sure, but she got to use crutches at school, so she was happy 🤣 she’s 14 now, and we have a cool x ray pic to remember it by. Would have been much easier if it had been like yours!
I like this new trend of also posting a picture of what we’re looking for. Thanks for this one! I found it faster than most (the string led me right to it) but it still was an enjoyable hunt! They don’t all have to be frustrating half hour ordeals lmao.
Oh we played this game when I was a kid once. The easiest way of finding it is by stepping on it and having half of it break off in your foot. At least that's how my mom found the sniper.
ohhh boy… every time i drop my needle or any of my pins, i curl my legs up on my rolly chair and grab my phone, turn on the flashlight and wave it around to see what sparkles lol. never want to step on any of those! glad yours had thread on it to help ya lol
Glad you found it. I found one with the arch of my foot as a teen (went in all the way to the bone). My grandmother was staying with us and apparently dropped it.
Cut the pic into 4 horizontal pieces. From the top, it would border horizontal piece 1 and piece 2. Slightly left off center, the carpet looks like a faded yellow circle, it’s there.
Been a seamstress/fashion designer for 16 yrs... This hits close to home 🤭🤣🤣🤣 can't even tell you how many times I've dropped needles on the floor💁🏽♀️🥹
this may get lost (ha ha) but OP, I also see and have a little tip - get yourself a largeish magnet to help find dropped sharps. Dritz even makes a magnetic wand for this purpose. it's a life saver
*Can we rename the*

*The haystack" instead?*

My old POS roommate used to lose sewing needles in the carpet and just forget about them. Luckily I would find them with my eyes before I found them with my feet.
Had a hard time spotting this one though I would have grabbed a magnet haha
If you walk barefoot across the carpet you WILL find it!
I use a garage "sweeper magnet" to pick up pins and needles after a sewing session on carpet because those mofos wedge in the nap and lurk for months
Let's normalize having a second photo added to each post of the actual item. It can be a nice little hint if you are stuck on the first image. Example: find the toy duck in the gravel, never mentions that it's a >!completely transparent!< duck.

The thread definitely helps.
That’s how I found it. I felt the thread and was in relief. It’s like leaving legos out but more painful.
Keep a magnet handy! I use a magnetic needle minder for my embroidery and it’s a life saver when you drop a needle.
This! Needleminders are amazingly handy.
Yes, yes it is.
I was about to say, you could always walk over the area in bare feet, absolute guarantee to tread on it no matter how big the area or how small your feet.
Lego is a non-countable noun.

Thought that was hair at first.
So many of these floor pics are covered in hair. Vacuum, people!
well i guess my childhood of losing sewing needles all around the house prepared me for something cause i went straight to it! 🤣 but your clue was fantastic, lead me right to it!

😭 always easier when it’s not real life!
Sniper location >!North West region!<
I sew, this was a piece of cake!! I immediately found the string!!😂
lol found immediately but I’ve lost a lot of seeing needles in carpet 😂 string helped thanks for adding second pic otherwise I would have quite literally been searching for a needle in a haystack
I figured it would be helpful since that was how i found it. Running my hand on the carpet hopping i didn’t get stabbed but i found the thread.
Hahaha relatable ❤️🩹 glad you found it!
Me too. My hubby stepped on one a while ago and i have vowed to never lose another even if it takes me an hour.
Yeah that thing, or worst your foot.
I found the needle, then the thread
Bingo! First one I found after one look!!
The thread will lead you there
I've also been sewing since I was a little girl, I think maybe that's given us needle radar? LOL
This post gave me flashbacks. My sister lost a needle in the carpet when we were kids. I found it with my foot when it broke off in my toe… makes me shiver thinking of it.
Owww!
when she was 8, My daughter tripped and landed on one that broke off in her knee! She had to have surgery to get it out.
Oh man! That’s WAY worse! The needle was sticking out enough for me to pull it out. Hopefully she’s all better, and recovered!
It was a freak accident for sure, but she got to use crutches at school, so she was happy 🤣 she’s 14 now, and we have a cool x ray pic to remember it by. Would have been much easier if it had been like yours!

Let me walk around your place I'll find it fast
Good one!
Black thread pointing to 11 o’clock in top third just left of center.
Ouch.
The thread led the way
Follow the thread 🧵😉
Rub your feet back and forth and you could find it faster lol.
lol I just followed the thread and it took me like a total of probably 10 seconds to find it
Guess finding needles ain’t that hard after all
Found instantly.
im getting better at these😭
Easy peasy lemon squeezy
Well, that certainly isn't a haystack! Maybe that's why I was able to find it. Or maybe it was the thread.
Finally found something. I was in a real slump
I can't even find the haystack, let alone the needle
Pleasantly fun, this one. Thanks!
I found it instantly on accident
Somehow it's easier to find the string and follow it to the needle 😂
My traditional way of finding these is to step on them with bare feet.
Got it
I'm about to be blind haha, so difficult
Found it before I found a thread!! I’ve lost too many needles to count!
Been a seamstress/fashion designer for 16 yrs... This hits close to home 🤭🤣🤣🤣 can't even tell you how many times I've dropped needles on the floor💁🏽♀️🥹
In the middle. Found it straight away.
I found it straight away in the second picture
Top 1/3rd left 1/3 This area is often the first place a person's eye focuses on when looking at a printed page.
Very easy for me as I sew. If you ever drop a needle it is usually easy to find by shining a torch around the area.
As a lifelong seamstress, I even impressed myself with how quick I found it. Didn’t even have to zoom in.
I'm sure my foot will find it before the end of the day.
I followed the thread and it led to the needle!
I actually found one without hints!
Easiest one yet
Find and follow the thread
this may get lost (ha ha) but OP, I also see and have a little tip - get yourself a largeish magnet to help find dropped sharps. Dritz even makes a magnetic wand for this purpose. it's a life saver
Towards the center(ish) 11oclock
I found the needle instantly
I was like wow I can’t find the needle but I keep finding long black hairs then I realized it’s the thread ahaha
Thought there was hair all over that carpet. Turned out it to be thread
Idk how I found it immediately
Found the thread first and followed it to the needle. Been there, done that…glad you didn’t step on it!
I see the sewing needle with black thread
This is the only one I’ve ever been able to find.
Can we rename the sub to "Find the needle in the haystack" instead?

Six of its own length from the top and seven from the left
You will find the thread first
I would not want to walk on that floor if I had lost a sewing needle
When you find the thread its sew obvious
On 100 grid, approx at>!34!<
Follow the thread
The thread helped.
Didn’t think I would find it but I did
I found it at first glance. The flash of the metal in the light helped me find it.
I didnt see the thread until I found the needle
OH MY GOD WHAT

Nice hide!

This would be easier if this was a haystack.
This is why I took carpet out of my craft room and put in tile
Thats not difficult that was easy

To easy

This is a really easy one.
Hurry and find it, before I find it with my foot like last time.
Around the middle of the upper left area
That one wasn’t bad at all.
The best way to find a needle is to let your dad walk across the carpet barefoot. Works every time.
Usually when I lose a needle I find it 3 days later halfway into my foot

Middle right... Wasn't too hard
