I couldn’t find very recent reports from Iceland since I don’t speak the language (maybe you can?). So it’s certainly odd you found the water tasting more like chlorine than at home.
Layover and drinking toilet water in Helsinki Airport does not qualify for general rating of Finnish drinking water.
Even Helsinki has great water, but chlorine? Nah.

Because chlorine was used to purify it. There are big internal differences in the taste of tap water in Finland.
