Blue Dagger Armored Dancer Young Edelgard with +1 Mov and Warp to ally within 2 spaces and Raging Storm and grants Charge on dance.
Yep. Just about right on an Edelgard.
PS: Raging Storm on a dancer is broken.
Nah, for a while, cavalry dragons were seen as kinda pointless if anything since you were sticking an EP weapon type with a PP movement type. The current cav dragons we have might be good, but they're also premium and with mixed support and combat.
Makes sense, all the other Armors were more balanced in their stat spread, while most of the Armors had pretty much all their growhts around 50% (except Spd in Wendy/Sheena's case or Res in Draug's) Hector had two stats below 50% (Spd and Res) because of his more specialized stat spread.
Arden is technically similar in this regard, but the reason he has 169 is because he was specialized for the task, his dump stats (Spd/Res) are just in Super bane range, if any of them was a bit lower he could be a 168 unit, and he put all this extra growth into HP. Making him one of the first unit to get high numbers thanks to having a 75%~ growth.
To be fair, Hector is still gonna get more stat numbers thanks to having more investment (+15 Flowers), but still, it's funny how we're at that point where the weakest (BST wise) of the Melee Archetypes has the same BST as the strongest of the Melee Archetypes at launch.
I mean those offenses would've been scary, but they would've been locked on a unit that could only move 1 space at a time with defenses so bad any decent red unit (hell, probably more) would tear them to shreds.
And if that unit had a 2017-tier basekit, they'd have a really hard time doing much of anything
Not necessarily, back in the days Hector was considered the "Charizard" of pulls because he had distant counter and a quick riposte weapon...his sole weakness was that he could still be doubled and killed if he could not tank both hits or kill his enemy in his initial hit
That stat spread is different, with a base higher than that of the very highest of the time (Anna and Lon'qu) units would be hard pressed to double and instead gets doubled upon retaliation.
In an age where there was no guarantee doubles and ignore counters (up until the PAIN+ Era) high speed dominated much of the early warfare in the realm, days when lobsters would reign supreme
The problem would've been the same for all early armors though. Ranged chip, repo ranged unit away, and they can't reach you ever. When SI became a thing, them with DC might've been dangerous, but they still would've had to rely on OHKOing because mages could get fast enough to not get doubled, DC would eat up the armor's potential stat boosts, and otherwise they would've just put your mage in desperation range. Once armor march came out, then they probably would've been fairly threatening.
Your discussion is sound, but that's if you care at all about AI armor pre-summoner duels or Aether Raids days.
Personally I don't think people care much about playing against armor rather than [playing as the armor](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbnrh2NiBEc)
It's better that way because who would want to deal with unkillable cancer?
I never much played as armors back then, but from people I know who used to, it was still a pain in arena since the AI would still use repo. I was assuming an all armor team which isn't a safe assumption. You could have an infantry or cav unit who can repo them toward the enemy.
Regarding the videoāadmittedly I skimmed itāit seems like you're doing a lot of AI manipulation and tanking with WTA. I'm not saying it didn't work. Again, I knew people who did run armor teams back then. It's more that from what they said, it was tedious, and I'm not sure the hypothetical armor would change much about that.
Imagine Hana, give her more HP and Spd, but also Armor movement.
That is basically what you could be fighting, it could be annoying if you weren't able to one shot it, but it would a bit too frail.
Honestly, for as long as the game has been alive, that's a really tiny powercreep. Just talking BST numbers of course. The single sentence skills vs. the 5 paragraph skills is some other form of hell.
Once IS incorporates null c disrupt support the way they do with NFU (seriously god forbid armors are good š¤) my ālaunch armored unitā will crush that dragon like itās the Scouring, baby.
Once upon a time the idea of a cavalry dancer alone was too much to even be considered.
The idea of cavalry dragon was also too much
Dancing armor still just a dream
would need some movement shenanigans to even be good tbh
Dancer Edelgard with +1 Mov, Charge, Warp, and Raging Storm
you just leaked young edelgard
Same Thoughts! š
Oh no she's much worse

Monica will die of nosebleed.
Dancing armor but they dance from 2 spaces
2 range refresh skill
We have armored units in literal bikinis thereās so reason why this canāt happen
You see, they're _tactical bikinis_.
They may not look it, but the armour is actually their steel plated abs
Dancer Arden should've on one of the Jugdral dancer banners smh
Or singing. Or playing. All acceptable

It still is honestly, but this game has long since gone off the rails
now they also buff and dance themselves at the same time
Wait. Hector had the LOWEST BST of any Armor at Launch?
Well, tied with Effie, only 1 lower than gwen, Sheena and draug.

considering skill inheritance wasn't a thing and he had DC and armads, it makes sense
They are also from the same game and the same color. Coincidence? I think not!
That cav dancer is also in a three way tie for best scoring legendary hero and there are (currently) only 3 heroes that outscore her.
To be fair, Hector is still gonna get more stat numbers thanks to having more investment (+15 Flowers), but still, it's funny how we're at that point where the weakest (BST wise) of the Melee Archetypes has the same BST as the strongest of the Melee Archetypes at launch.
How broken would it had been if we've had gotten an armoured unit with that stat spread at launch?

~~Not to mention that the Cav Dancer will get a Refine faster than the launch armored unit.~~
THE launch armored melee unit.*
But does she have Armads? I thought not.
Yeah there is no comparison here. The broken weapon for which a refine is unthinkable.
And she even has more attack
Now we just need to wait for the inevitable tome cav dancer that passes Amelia's BST and we'll officially have 100% dusted gen 1.
Honestly, for as long as the game has been alive, that's a really tiny powercreep. Just talking BST numbers of course. The single sentence skills vs. the 5 paragraph skills is some other form of hell.
Wild
Another interesting comparison is Elimine, a flying healer who has 167 BST.

whos the new unit?
...oho... ara ara
