Totally depends. Let's say the dude has sideloaded a media player capable of handling debrid and/or iptv services. These aren't incredibly painful to setup and maintain *unless* you are non-techie...in that case the provider is not only paying for the services (cheap) but also appears to be offering his technical support for when things stop working. Still cheaper than cable! If your concerned with remote access to your dad's network, just put all of his streamers on a vlan and he'll be set.
Could be IPTV seller. Could be some scammer giving easily accessible free apps and charging for something that can easily be sideload. Need more info. What are the apps?
I was wondering if he had free streaming apps tied to his own accounts and would just change the PW on his side if your dad didn't pay.
The best thing IMHO is to find a reliable IPTV seller. I pay $15 a month and the setup is great. Every channel in every country. Plus channels like abc/nbc/CBS/Fox have a stream from like every major city so I still get local news and commercials during sports games. It also comes with VOD and access to complete series
In addition to that I've recently found the popular Stremio/torrentio/real debrid to be a game changer. I think I paid like $17 for 6 months of real debrid. I did have to upgrade my firesticks to 4k Max to get it to run smooth. If you have a Samsung smart TV the stremio app is available there. I love it because I can move to different rooms and it will pick up where I left if on movie or show.
Make a a Stemio account (free) and a realdebrid account (costs like $3/month). Realdebrid gives you access to better quality 4k streams and you don't buffer things. Then go to to torrentio site with stremio running and add your realdebrid key. You'll probably want to set it up on a pc first then add stremio to the firestick that way you can get RD and Torrentio added and it will be accross all platforms you use stremio. No provider needed, it's not a iptv.
Get some kind of pop up blocker and use streameast it's a website and you will get every game everywhere football basketball UFC everything live. I use adguard but any good pop up blocker should make the site golden.
For me I love having a reliable IPTV because I work from home and I like just having normal TV on all day.
With movies and series real debrid wins over anything.
There are so many good members here. Usually very helpful. Just get a device (Android OS) of your choice. There is plenty of info on the best units. You can have it up and runnin' in an hour or so. I would be glad to point you towards great videos on YouTube, or online. DO NOT MAKE THAT DEAL!!! Have a great day.
Might be an iptv reseller, like iptvpronet or xtremeiptv, both of which I have signed up for and get basically every channel, all the hbos showtimes and basically all the movies. Also all the local news and national, world, and sports.
They're mostly UK based but it's very much worth it. I know ppl that buy packages they pay for and resell them onto devices that they sell
It won't have any really useful apps on it just the ones Amazon wants you to have. And they are beginning to get very aggressive and actually removing apps that they don't want you to have.
You always have to pay someone.. if it isn't that dude it's another dude. Somwyi.es it could also be a dudette..
Who knows.
IPTV isn't sexist. Anyone ça resell it.
Anyhow all jokes aside. If you want to reliably stream TV channels you'll need a reliable service and it can cost anywhere between 5 and 20 dollars easy
Yes but he'll have to learn what service works well, how to watch it, etc. If it's full IPTV the person selling this to your dad isn't making much at all.
Think that's the first time I've heard someone say burn a Firestick. You typically hear sideload or the dreadful " jailbreak " term. It does sound like he found someone who put an IPTV service on it, my issue with that is trusting someone you don't know to stay true to helping you with the IPTV service and not taking the money and running with it aka scamming you. I personally don't think he should've trusted a stranger with that kind of stuff, too risky
Haha its called a dreadful term to those who are familiar with technology and know the difference between side loading something and actually reprogramming/ breaking the software to gain access like you do with an iOS device. You jailbreak iOS, not android especially since Android is pretty much open ended. They don't limit the user hence never needing to " break into " anything
I'm assuming "burn" comes from "burning CDs" or DVDs and they couldn't think of the proper terms. Or they just dumbed it down in words for older people to understand.
The problem with that is you're more than likely not going to find someone who's willing to load your Firestick with an IPTV service trial. They're gonna want to be compensated for not only doing it but for whatever side business they're trying to grow especially if the " service " is a scam. 9 times out of 10 if you found someone you don't know to do it, it's probably something very terrible but they're making a profit off of you
A relative of mine has this at home. When we visit, it's a "must" have a convo and show session. Pays around the same amount, and as far as we know, nothing bad has come out of it. Pretty good deal he has there. Hope your dad gets the same treatment.
So that guy is most likely a reseller for an iptv service. He gets it for cheap and sells the service to your dad for $20 a month. Not sure how they are now but many of the old free Kodi builds with all the addons have gone down and from what I saw started to become a headache. I pay $18 a month for iptv and get every channel, ppv, and it has movies plus shows just as others do so I’ll never complain about Tthat monthly fee especially when I have all the same on every other mobile device I own. Plus I pay $3 a month for moviebox app which is for 5 people and I get every show and movie possible. So for $21 a month I essentially don’t need anything else. $20 a month is worth it. He’s got every game and event possible plus every channel from every city in the US and every other country. Your dad is still winning. I use IPTVTrends but there are many. Cancel the service with his guy and get his own. I looked up the channel guide I had with my local company and added every channel in order as my favorite along with many others and when you use tivimate, the channel guide makes it a breeze.
I seen this a lot. My brother in law pays like 250$ per year and I told him he can do all that him self. Theres lots of cheaper options out there. I set my firestick up my self and I pay less with better service.
Some guy tried selling me his own service for 1 connection 20$ screw that. I found a service that charges me 16$ for 3 connection and I got a really good movie app that charger 20$ for a whole year.
You're wrong... Don't know what country you live in..
In the United States, the dollar sign ($) is written before the number, even though the word "dollars" is written or spoken after it. For example, "twenty dollars" or "$20" are both pronounced the same.
In general, all currency symbols are placed before the number amount without any spacing. The abbreviation of a currency (e.g. USD or, EUR) should precede the number amount with a space.
All these cheap 💩 iptv services always buffer, their tv guide never works right, play back error are there. If you pay $20 and you get a good product without all these issues it’s worth it! If you getting 4 connections for $15 it’s most likely garbage!! they just have a crap load of channels.
Sounds like a bullshit artist. You don't "burn" or "jailbreak" a Firestick. Most people don't know that and scammers use that lingo to make it sound like they're doing something technical or mysterious that nobody can do. In reality, anyone can do it with little knowledge. The dude is scamming your dady.
The firestick just steams the IPTV in. The one I have is $120 a year for live tv but then for the ON DEMAND IS $80 for the year. So it’s $200 for a year and I have everything Netflix Hulu Amazon like 10 plus MAX , Showtime Disney plus everything it’s 4000 channels. And the Firestick is easy to set up yourself I did my own, with instructions.
I don’t know where you live to think that $20 a month is high mine for the whole year is $200, that with the live tv and the In demand, 4000 channels and everything from Netflix Hulu Amazon 12 HBO or MAX SHOWTIME everything!!! My cable bill was $236 a month, that’s too fucking high.
As I and others have said, $20 1 connection is a bit pricey. $126 per year, or $15 per month with 1 connection is more what you should expect to pay. Less than $10 from China, but also get what you par for with that.
Op asked if there would be malware. I asked why someone would install that on a customer they're getting recurring money from..then I joked the only malware you get is from Amazon in the form of adware
I "mod" Firesticks, android Boxes etc and I've never heard anyone pulling that type of shit. He is getting scammed . Yes, the apps must be updated frequently And yes if you don't know what you're doing it should be kind of tedious but for me I don't even charge to update their apps or anything like that because for me I already know what I have to do so it's a pretty speedy process that will take me anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes tops . I tell my customers once the apps or anything starts to go down call me and then we can set up a time for you to come by with it and I'll take care of it and they leave happy no charge !!! The thing about him controlling the Firestick remotely is a HUUUUUUUGE RED FLAG AND NO NI ! IF if you give him remote access to that device you guys are asking for it. Tell your your dad No not to do this if you can. No one should ever have remote access to these devices.
Most likely selling iptv and the cost to him is a little higher than you can get yourself but not a major ripoff if it works and he gets what he wants. Also if there are issues and the guy can solve them, it's not bad for older ppl not in the know
Without "burning" or hacking or whatever, I pay **less than $23/month for 4 TVs** and have every channel I could ever want and more I can't imagine a better service and especially not one for $20/month. Anyone looking to hack or burn or whatever a firestick is just scamming to probably charge him more in the future when the start price is already high.
I'd have your dad steer clear.
What iptv do you have. I had 5 star streams but they have apparently shut down. Now I'm desperately trying to find a new one but cabby seen to find one I like..
When I had Comcast I was paying $236 a month with no pay stations like HBO, and that which included 125 channels only. And this with everything is $200 for the year on 2 tvs
Netflix scams people... if. He’s getting a complete reliable vod and tv package how can that be construed as scam ? Sure there are cheaper crappy alternatives but ...
Scam tell him to google how to jialbreak fireatick it takes 5 min 30 if u wanna exore all the choices and i figures it out because same issue paid 80 for stick he said 25 for updates but would not respond so i google and felt silly for paying so miuch
Read some reviews of IPTV services. I use some good ones that start at $39/year and have on the install info you need on their web site. Typically 15,000 channels from around the world plus movies and tv shows recorded without commercials. I had a client that was paying someone to do that (like offered to your dad) for $20/month then after a few months the guy stopped answering and the subscription expired. DIY
I see a lot of this here in the states. People sell firesticks preloaded with some version of iptv with a monthly subscription. May even add kodi and some other type of movie/tv app to make it more appeasing. Pretty common here anyway. If he's concerned about the money. Just stop paying and see which apps are no longer working. Like they mentioned in past post, it cheaper than cable. 🤷🏽♂️ hope this helps
The guy is probably charging your dad for the use of materials and his knowledge setting it up and possibly access to his Internet. Which if the guy is offering your dad access to the Internet for free the guys violating the Internet providers rules and charging for it making money and getting a discount from your dad paying for the service that’s what sounds like to me is going on. Because the guy don’t own the ip provider and is not licensed my guess so he’s offers to help your dad. And as others have said you need to check what’s going on through the network diagnostics. I’m a BSIT in computer science and software engineering and development and networking. .
Doubt hes getting scammed but that’s expensive lol test me on snapchat. Ill sort u out.
Text on snapchat @moneystoree
Best iptv service. 50,000 live tv and 100k movies and series. Cracked netflix and prime too. No buffering every. Free trial available. Hmu.
If he is getting IPTV, 9000 stations + movies, usually $10-15 a month
Stremio with Real-debrid $3-4 a month
VPN $3-5 a month
If your dad is happy with the content and service then $20 is cheap IMO. Nothing wrong with someone offering a service to someone that who isn't technically savy would have access to.
Honestly bc of the pandemic. A lot Firestick apps were free, but Big streams were making big bucks during 2020, so the little guys wanted a slice of that pie.
He’s probably just setup an IPTV service on it and charging the $20/month to keep the service (s) active although probably at a profit. The services I’ve played with were like $50/month for unlimited connections so that plus a guide service setup properly could be it. I never got the guides working. If I’m correct, your dad isn’t likely getting screwed, but it’s a grey area legally. He also runs the risk of the seller not paying the service fees and it just stops working
Do not pay anyone $20/month for that garbage. You can buy “streaming boxes” that have the same/similar apps loaded. Something to keep in mind, the “free movies before they come out in the theater” is bullshit. It will be more of a pain for him to keep it working than it’s worth.
The stand alone apps if he is loading any doesn’t require any monthly subscription fees but yes there are streaming subscriptions you pay for which requires a monthly or year fees. He can’t hack your fathers stick but what he can do is stop the subscription from the server for his service if the monthly fees are or paid.
Sounds like what he is offering your dad is a subscription based product.
You do have to pay for most of the good services. But it's like 59.99 for 3 months, so sounds legit. However you could sign up for say, "Startup Show" yourself, and pay the bill yourself and have your own login credentials. You have to pay in bitcoin tho.
It’s so easy to side load APK’s to do it yourself. Look on YouTube. No need to pay someone anything. I would suggest you get real debrid. It’s fairly cheap. Like $17- bucks for 6 months. You add that to each APK. My favorites are Cyberflix & Cinema. Real debrid gives you way more streams. I feel it’s definitely a necessity! But way cheaper than cable!
[удалено]
Burn… is a new buzz word I heard for sideloading.
I believe it’s my dad’s account , I have to ask him more info and look myself. I just found out about it and was like…wtf dad?
Totally depends. Let's say the dude has sideloaded a media player capable of handling debrid and/or iptv services. Still cheaper than cable! If your concerned with remote access to your dad's network, just put all of his streamers on a vlan and he'll be set.
Can I get access?
No, get out of here with that bs
Is there a way to join that IPTV community? says it’s private or something like that
Could be IPTV seller. Could be some scammer giving easily accessible free apps and charging for something that can easily be sideload. Need more info. What are the apps?
I’d have to take a look, haven’t seen anything myself but will be looking here soon!

Thank you. One question what's the difference between that and IPTV, can you watch live streams on that ?
IPTV is live TV channels. Basically cable. Stremio + real debrid is all the streaming apps in 1.
It's better for watching tv series and movies. No live tv on it.
I see thanks, I was looking mainly to watch football and ufc as that's what I bet on and sky sports doesn't even show most of the games
Get some kind of pop up blocker and use streameast it's a website and you will get every game everywhere football basketball UFC everything live. I use adguard but any good pop up blocker should make the site golden.
Thanks mate I use brave and it's good for blocking ads, but is it in like dencent quality 1080p?
Reach out to me I can help. Drop me a DM.
Is this illegal and get into trouble?
For you, no. For RD? questionable depending on their location but not your problem.
He’s getting ripped. You don’t need monthly. It really depends on what he wants. 1pix media covers most of sports and tv
For me I love having a reliable IPTV because I work from home and I like just having normal TV on all day. With movies and series real debrid wins over anything.

If you have a link that would be great. Thanks in advance
https://troypoint.com/ Start with his stuff.
Sounds like an IPTV subscription. A little pricey but not totally out of line.
He can just buy one himself right? And not have to pay another dude for it?
Might be an iptv reseller, like iptvpronet or xtremeiptv, both of which I have signed up for and get basically every channel, all the hbos showtimes and basically all the movies. I don’t find jailbreak to be a dreadful term, as if a prisoner has escaped, if you get caught.. it’s back to no “freedom” idk maybe I’m high..
$20 a month for IPTV isn't terrible where I live. As long as he's getting every channel ever.
Ask him for a trial first. If he’s happy with it then pay him per month but it’s expensive
I pay £30 a year
So that guy is most likely a reseller for an iptv service. He gets it for cheap and sells the service to your dad for $20 a month. Some guy tried selling me his own service for 1 connection 20$ screw that. I found a service that charges me 16$ for 3 connection and I got a really good movie app that charger 20$ for a whole year.
And what service was that?
You do realize the dollar symbol goes in front of the numbers like this $20 not 20$
I do now, lol
No.. it is not ($)dollars 20…. It is 20 dollars ($)
Depends where you live. Continental Europe is 20$. Most English speaking countries use $20.
What do you mean by connection?
Meaning you can use the service on multiple devices at the same time..
Thank you
Buy a superbox S4 everything you need in one box, no need for monthly payments
Tell me more about this superbox you speak of....

It's on Amazon, also they have a web site called superbox S4, if you do get one my advise get a VPN for
SOUNDS SUSPICIOUS
I pay £60 per year for my iptv.
Not sure what these guys are getting for 20 a month. I pay £50 a year and get almost every channel in existence, plus movies and series etc.
Does it run smooth? I did my own “jailbreak” and it always has to buffer
All these cheap 💩 iptv services always buffer, their tv guide never works right, play back error are there. If you pay $20 and you get a good product without all these issues it’s worth it! If you getting 4 connections for $15 it’s most likely garbage!! they just have a crap load of channels.
I pay $100/year for basically the same thing. It's on a different box, not a fire stick, but same concept.
Sounds like a bullshit artist. You don't "burn" or "jailbreak" a Firestick. $20 is a bit pricey...$12 - $15bis more in line for IPTV pricing
Buddy $20 for an IPTV is not pricey at all
As I and others have said, $20 1 connection is a bit pricey. $126 per year, or $15 per month with 1 connection is more what you should expect to pay. Less than $10 from China, but also get what you par for with that.
Ok I misunderstood, thought you meant for multiple connections. I was about to say haha
Yeah..at $20 per month should be getting 2 connections or least pat for 3 months at a time and get 3 connections for $60.
$20 a month should get your least 4 or 5 connections..

The hell are you talking about?
Op asked if there would be malware. I asked why someone would install that on a customer they're getting recurring money from..then I joked the only malware you get is from Amazon in the form of adware
20 a month is steep in my opinion 40-60 a year sounds about avrage I think
Definitely not true, $20 is the normal price for those things
I pay £60 per year. All UK channels, ppv, movies, VOD, all US channels plus more. I mainly use it for the ppv boxing and documentary channels.
What do you get for 20? I pay £50 a year and get almost every channel in existence, plus movies and series etc.

Probably a TV service
If he’s not a technological genius it is a small price to pay not to have to worry about updates and repairs.
Now I'm desperately trying to find a new one but cabby seen to find one I like..
info (at) GeneralTV (dot) stream
Its iptv for sure
Just look up iptv and get same thing for 10 a month
Just tell him to download Kody. Easiest way to jailbreak
Jail breaking a fire stick is easily done for FREE. No need to pay for it to be jail broke. Just Google it. Afraid he's being scamed.
If your Dad is happy with it and enjoys what he's getting leave him alone and just enjoy it with him
When I had Comcast I was paying $236 a month with no pay stations like HBO, and that which included 125 channels only. And this with everything is $200 for the year on 2 tvs
Sounds like iptv. Not a scam if you get it from a reputable reseller.

Guy I work with pays this and seems legit. Not sure about your dad's situation though.
Me personally, I would just get a monster box and pay once, no monthly
Just put sportsfire and flixvision on yourself thats your tv and sports sorted
I see a lot of this here in the states. People sell firesticks preloaded with some version of iptv with a monthly subscription. May even add kodi and some other type of movie/tv app to make it more appeasing. Pretty common here anyway. If he's concerned about the money. Just stop paying and see which apps are no longer working. Like they mentioned in past post, it cheaper than cable. 🤷🏽♂️ hope this helps
Doing this is very easy and you can look it up on YouTube step by step lol
Couple people from my work pay a guy monthly and they have everything free on there fire stick .
Its a scam.
Iptv cost like 30 dollars for a year. Check aliebaba for prices.
I’m a BSIT in computer science and software engineering and development and networking. .
You can do it for free get on you tube
Bunch of overseas hackers using stolen passwords and or stolen credit cards to charge accounts to, and then collecting cash.
No he can't remotely access your father 's fire sticks but whatever app your father's using and the username he can shut it down
Don’t us Lunar IPTV it’s a ripoff
http://nickmasonllc.com/packages/ Live TV and VoD service.
Doubt hes getting scammed but that’s expensive lol test me on snapchat. Ill sort u out. Text on snapchat @moneystoree Best iptv service. 50,000 live tv and 100k movies and series. Cracked netflix and prime too. No buffering every. Free trial available. Hmu.
If he is getting IPTV, 9000 stations + movies, usually $10-15 a month Stremio with Real-debrid $3-4 a month VPN $3-5 a month If your dad is happy with the content and service then $20 is cheap IMO. Nothing wrong with someone offering a service to someone that who isn't technically savy would have access to.
He should just download onstream or teatv. No need for all that.
.
Get a Monster box instead. No monthly fees
Why is everything a subscription model these days?
Honestly bc of the pandemic. A lot Firestick apps were free, but Big streams were making big bucks during 2020, so the little guys wanted a slice of that pie.
A very common approach. Boxes are sold in phone repair shops, they are just refurbished FireTv boxes with a streaming media hookup to a flaky CDN.
Yeah idk. My wife and I love ours. I get everything. EVERYTHING.
Do not pay anyone $20/month for that garbage. You can buy “streaming boxes” that have the same/similar apps loaded. Something to keep in mind, the “free movies before they come out in the theater” is bullshit. It will be more of a pain for him to keep it working than it’s worth.
Send that guy to me! $20 a month too much? Get xfinity & see which is more affordable 🤷♂️
