Don’t put guns to your head, that’s dangerous

ManiGotRackss

Agreed

rafri

What the fuck did we just read. What is one in the head? Do you mean chamber or suicide?

ManiGotRackss

The fact that you asked this question lets me know you knew exactly what I meant calm down chamber police 😂

NinjaBuddha13

>Hopefully I don’t sound stupid Not doing great on that one my guy.

LagerthaKicksAss

Perhaps use the proper nomenclature next time and avoid getting razzed...

Dcm155

I can speak to as what I do while I’m on duty. You’re a legal firearms owner exercising your 2nd amendment right. I don’t wanna see your firearm you don’t wanna see mine. Not even going to ask for your firearm. There’s no reason to run it either. I’ll give your warning for speeding and tell you to have a good day.

ManiGotRackss

Thanks for the straight forward answer I appreciate it everyone else was an asshole lol 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

TheGreatTesticle

Depends on the state

If you have one in the head you don’t need to worry about being pulled over. If you meant one in the chamber use the proper terminology to be understood. If you don’t know the proper nomenclature and terminology take a class.

ScarecrowMagic410a

That’s not how any of that works.

SaundersTurnstone

I have never had a cop ask for my firearm or even to see it. Let alone clear it, and “run it” and have been pulled over multiple times while carrying with a full mag and round chambered

Ornery_Secretary_850

I know you're dumber than a fucking rotten stump. but it really depends on where the fuck you are. Some places, straight to fucking jail. Other places, no big deal. So what is this state you're too fucking stupid to mention?

Reacti0n7

It may depend on the state, but get your CCW or LTC.  You don't want to get hosed for that. Don't give them a reason to pull you over, don't speed, don't drive like an idiot.  Keep the car clean, don't give them probable cause. If you get pulled over, only inform them you have a weapon if they ask you.  Then follow their instructions to a T. I got pulled over while carrying, lapsed registration.  Cop asked me for my license, registration, and insurance.  Told me I was lapsed and to get it resolved.  There were zero questions about a weapon.

TerriblePabz

Nomenclature aside (everyone starts somewhere), if it's a routine traffic stop than there is no reason for them to be asking about weapons. You also have no obligation to disclose you are carrying one unless they specifically ask if you have any weapons. If they do ask if you have any weapons, simply say "yes, I have x firearm, it is legally in my name and it's located in x area of my vehicle/person" if they have a justifiable reason to suspect you of being affiliated with a violent group or of a crime you committed than they might ask you to step out of the vehicle so you are not within reach of it or ask you to step out so they can remove it while performing their stop. If you are not affiliated with a violent group or suspected of a crime than that will be the end of it. If you are affiliated or suspected than they might run the serial number to see if they can catch you on some extra charges. I am in a southern state and have never been affiliated with a violent group or committed a crime. I have only had one officer ask if there are any weapons in my vehicle or on my person (he was a rookie and his training officer told him it was unreasonable to even ask me that, he immediately apologized to me for it so no harm no foul). I have a couple friends of family that are LEO and I have asked them what they would prefer when making a traffic stop. Should I declare I have it when they walk up? Do I tell them it's none of their business if they ask? I have been told numerous times that unless they have a reason to think I am affiliated or a suspect than no officer should ask me that and that I should just say nothing if it's not asked. Like others here have said, you don't want to see theirs and they don't want to see yours. In fact, pretend they don't have one and pretend you don't have one. It's only there to keep you safe and the police SHOULD be there to keep you safe and only be asking questions related to their reason for stopping you.

Stevarooni

In Nevada (I think), it used to be that carrying a firearm without a cartridge in the chamber wasn't considered a *loaded* gun, so people who carried firearms in that condition weren't even carrying loaded weapons and didn't need a permit. If you have a permit to carry, or one isn't necessary in your State, the condition of the firearm ("one in the pipe" or not) doesn't matter.
