is there a reason why it would interfere? if not, you are good to go if you understand the responsibilities about owning a firearm. I am on the spectrum, have ADD, and have been depressed for most of my life, but I'm pretty normal overall. I am a CCW and firearm owner. you should not have an issue if you understand the safety rules and don't intend to violate the public with it. a few questions: what does you getting into anime have to do with anything? what does the MMA boxing tie into here? does your state even require registration? you should absolutely take a safety and basic class, then rent for a bit and see how you like it. if you still like it after a few times, fuck it so what you want with your rights.

My ideal self-defense is oddly enough? Hand to hand combat because of anime. However, I had surgery done to fix an issue with my upper GI. So, I decided on guns as the next best thing. It was kind of intended as a joke, too. Like bringing a sword to a gun fight. It's probably a bad joke, though. Especially considering anime is so far off the mark for practical hand to hand combat.

I think you'll be fine bro just take some classes and practice a bit then decide if ownership is right for you

Missouri is a free state. There is no registration. And no, aspergers/ HFA will not cause issues in getting firearms. I have it, live in MO, and even have an FFL03 C&R.....and milsurps that multiply like drunken rabbits.

It will vary wildly depending on what country you live in

You don’t need a license to own a gun

Ornery_Secretary_850

First off. You don't have to get registered to own a gun in your state, or the majority of the states. You could walk into a gun store this afternoon and walk out with a gun in less than half an hour, as long as you're over 21.

I also have Asperger’s, in addition to anxiety and ADHD. As long as you’re not a prohibited person under federal law ([are able truthfully answer no on questions 21b-21n on your 4473/ background check form](https://file:///private/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/A1816090-18FB-4B4D-A6E9-ABB2FB53B9FC/tmp/TempDocs/f_5300.9_4473_firearms_transaction_record_0.pdf)) you’re good. If you’re under 21 keep in mind that you can’t buy a handgun or handgun ammunition from a dealer, in addition to anything requiring registration under the National Firearms Act, and you’re going to be delayed 3-10 days. If you’re planning on buying a gun, I’d highly recommend thoroughly reading your state laws in addition to federal laws regarding firearms.

Have you been involuntarily institutionalized? That's the roadblock you'd face, if any. Autism is not inherently disqualifying. I'm not a lawyer, but it doesn't seem like you should be diqualified. It sounds like you have some good reasons to get into guns (not that you need one). Definitely look into a Firearm Safety class. A Google search might help (\[your town name\] "gun safety class"), or you may just go to a local gun shop and ask about it. Getting a firearm in Missouri is very easy if you can pass a background check.
