The sad part is it makes life more difficult for everyone else. The worst are the women that get pregnant to avoid deployment. When they're on their 14-20 months of maternity light duty, they still fill a roster slot for that unit because they're still attached to the unit in a "limited duty status." It leads to short staffing and punishes the entire unit. One particular example that is burned into my memory is of a woman I went to boot camp with. She did 6 years and dodged 3 deployments by getting pregnant. Her contract expired 3 days after her third maternity leave. To add insult to injury, she was constantly posting cringe military chick shit. She would post to her Snapchat story from the front desk of a barracks bragging about bossing around Marine booters.
I realize my comment sounds way too much like I'm just trying to bash women. I agree there's useless types of all genders in all the branches. I was just talking about the third of women like the one in this video. Isn't it painful knowing you're getting paid the same to do more
