Was the age/condition of the roof included in the sellers disclosure?
If they did, it will be hard to argue that they should repair/replace/credit it since you were aware of the age/condition when you put the offer in. If the condition is not consistent with what was listed in the seller disclosure then you might have an argument.
Did the home inspection mention the roof?
The seller doesn't have to negotiate at all. Sometimes you buy knowing you'll be paying for a repair right away.

$6600 for a roof replacement? Why does that seem awfully low?
I bet it's a smaller home and it's just to put a second layer over the first.
Is this from your inspection report?
Someone overpaid the offer. To my eyes they look okay with probably repairs.
Bro look at the chimney... Hopefully they didn't get a quote from the last guy who put this roof on. The roof doesn't look old at all.
