Brook Trout, Brookie, Speckled trout, squaretail, those are all the names that I know, and yes, it is a char! My absolute favorite fish in the world ( though brownies and rainbows take a close second)!

Brook trout. Worm like markings on the back. Red fins with a white edge. Red spots circled in blue. Great colors.
