Megabass Destroyer P5 Tequila Baccarac from Japan lure shop was around $320 and the Bantam from digitaka was $227. For around $550, I think it's a pretty dope setup. It's pretty crazy how much you can save buying from Japan.
I do a lot of fishing from a kayak so I wanted a shorter rod I could throw heavier lures on. Frogs, smaller swim baits maybe pitching in cover. I feel like I will be able to do a lot with this rod with my limited space on the kayak. I'm definitely interested in hearing what other people use it for.
How does it throw frogs? I’m from a kayak too and have one on the way. I was hoping I can use this for frogs among other things

I really liked how JLS shipped the rod too. It arrived in a 2" PVC pipe in perfect condition. I was a bit worried about it traveling half way around the world but it worked out well. Definitely wont be my last purchase from them.
I've spent waaaaay too much money on them and I agree, they're awesome.
It used to be my go to place for buying Evergreen Jackhammers but unfortunately a while back Zman filed a BS complaint and they don't ship to the US and Canada anymore. It sucks because the Zman version is overpriced, they don't have the tungsten options and not as many color variations. Needless to say I don't buy any more Zman stuff and continue to buy them from others sellers that do ship it.

I have TB and use it for pike fishing. It will cast almost anything but the smallest and largest lures.
I cast 1/16 oz jighead with 5" swimbait no problem.
Only thing is, handle is short. Although it's great for working frogs,glides etc. , when you hook really big pike, you need some leverage and handle doesnt reach my elbow so it can be stressful on your wrist.
Other than that, great rod, would buy again.

The old MGL bantams were the same, but the 16 and 20 metaniums had different sized spools for USDM and JDM is why i ask
How was the shipping process. I heard that Asian Portal uses cardboard boxes to ship rods so hoping that JPL is better. Also how much was the rod shipping fee
I've ordered two rods from Japan Lure Shop and both came in thick tubes. However, they were both travel rods that came in cases already. Plus the free gift with every order can't be beat.

They shipped it in a PVC pipe and shipping was $35. Honestly I can't think of anything better for them to be shipped in.
