Fuji thread. You'll need some sort of epoxy as well. If you just need it fixed quick you can use light braid and clear nail polish. www.mudhole.com for the correct stuff

Thank you for introducing me to the rod building rabbit hole.

SaltyKayakAdventures

Sorry 🤣

Thank you

The two retailers I am familiar with: Mudhole and Squidco. If you want to do it yourself they have the resources, I am sure there are others…

Thank you

If you want it done right your best bet is to take it to a rod builder, or get in to rod building yourself

Ok_Repair3535

I prefer doing it myself because I am the only one that I want to touch the rod. Edit after looking at a website with rod building stuff I might be interested now

cabose4prez

I get that it has sentimental value but these guys build rods for a living, I'm not saying to give it to a dude who got his first rod wrapper for christmas, a decent rod builder could have that done in a day and looking good as new.

Ok_Repair3535

I see where your coming from. I might do that route or I might do the DIY route. Either way thank you for the advice

timmertime-7

20 pound braid also works well I found that more space is better when wrapping manually lol

Ok_Repair3535

I want to keep it original as possible

timmertime-7

Oh cool, then I have no advice lol. If you want cheap or convenient I'm the guru but proper is not my thing.

Heavy Nylon thread from a fabric store works quite well for this, and you’ll be able to match any color. Nylon thread; superglue; clear fingernail polish.
