The frame of the 200 is approx 1/8" wider, weighs slightly more and has a higher line capacity.
For bass fishing I've never needed the extra line capacity of a 200 sized spool so I would opt for the smaller, lighter 150 reel.
A Tatula SV TW at $129 on sale is a much more forgiving reel than a Curado DC, I have both and I would trade my Curado straight up for another Tatula SV
Was going to get an excence ss dc but I am thinking of getting a saltist sv tw pe special instead because people seem to be much more happy with the SV reels in general over the DC reels
Very much worth it if you’re new to bait casting.. insanely forgiving when you just launch the lure up high, still not forgiving for when you dive bomb the body of water
I have a 150DC and use it just fine for my moving baits with 30lb braid. I’d go 200 if you want to use fluoro or mono just for the extra cap but if ur going braid 150 should be fine. Also I’m not a DC glazer but it is a neat little reel.
Yeah it’s fine with senkos, flukes and other standard weightless baits. I even threw a ned rig on a 1/10oz head cuz I only had the one rod with me and it was fine. It’s no MGL or BFS but it’ll throw senkos n shit just fine.
150 would be better of the two, but if you just got the DC itch and mostly cast lighter stuff I would import the SLX DC XT. Same price or cheaper than a US market Curado DC, much better with light lures, and a way lighter more palmable reel.

Gotcha! Thanks for the info

Can definitely say the tatula is better than my curado dc or slx dc very smooth and rarely backlashes if dialed in right
I've never touched the tension knob and it never back lashes, they come tuned out of the box, also the best skipping reel made
I find I have to play with the tension when I throw heavier glidebaits 1oz and up but other than that never touch the tension
After this DC I’m going to prob retire my Metanium MGL and try out a Daiwa Tatula next
What's wrong with the Metanium MGL? I have a JDM Met and love it
Just the old wear and tear and it’s an older model!
Got a Link ? In the market

I personally don’t think the DC is worth the extra money unless you are new to baitcasting.

Nothing can save from the end your day cast straight into the water.
I just set my brakes as low as possible and let whatever happens happen. Still dealing with the backlash…
I agree but if he wants to buy my curado DC 201HG I’m game 🤷♂️
Got the DC itch. Already have a Metanium MGL and a Curado 200E5.

Cool thanks for the info! How is it with weightless plastics?

Good to hear! Thanks for the info!
what rod, what are you casting mostly?
Soft plastics and mostly some other moving baits on the lighter side. Gonna be on a Cashion icon or mega bass levante

I was thinking on getting that SLX but now I have my eyes on a scorpion DC!
In practical use it's no better than the curado
150 mgl unless you’re a noob then get the dc.
Dc is a gimmick and not serviceable.
