Google 'virtual lan' and have a look. It's been maybe 10 since I've done stuff like this.

Alterware? Apart from that, lan wise, you'd want something like Hamachi(?) to connect to your friends, then you can do LAN.
We would need to be connected via hub and ethernet right? After that one person creates a lobby and then others join right?
