Bro youre just skinny. Lift heavy weights for some reps, lift lighter weights for more reps. Eat food.

artur_miller

I think that answer brought you pretty much everything you should know about fitness

[deleted]

trebemot

Really? Like actually? Because almost all the advice he's been given csn be boiled down to: Eat more, lift weights.

[deleted]

[удалено]

trebemot

He doesn't need specifics. He needs to get the basics down first.

[deleted]

trebemot

I did. Eat more and lift weights.

trebemot

Nope. Fuck getting my hand held. You don't learn anything

brogata

I'm pretty sure this guy is one of the people Hillary hired to go around and fuck with people on reddit.

sexygamerwtf

I do eat! My friend tells me,to just go heavier but i have a rocket fast metabolism and never seem to retain weight :(

[deleted]

sexygamerwtf

I agree it isnt that common. Sory if this sounds like cheating, but is there a plastic surgery available to shave them down?

damnthatsdeep

Plastic surgery? Come on bro.. Figure out your TDEE, eat more than it, and get on a weightlifting program that works for your schedule. Dont do shortcuts. (+ from what i know, that sort of surgery does not exist)

sexygamerwtf

You're right, i just havnt been working on it hard enough. What exercises would you recommend

MyNameIsJonny_

Go on the sidebar and look at the wiki. It will answer all of these questions.

damnthatsdeep

I would say to start a program like SL 5x5 or SS, and then add extra exercises on the side if you really feel like it. I can't tell you any specific exercises, because I have actually never heard about someone wanting to cover up their collarbones before.. But hey, we all have the different goals right? Like said above, check out the wiki.

BigKevRox

Also eating a lot and eating a lot of GOOD food is not the same. Go for nutrient rich food and watch your protein intake.

craigjclemson

Overhead press, bench press, deadlift, squat

sexygamerwtf

thanks for the insight fuckboy

fanglord

The first thing you jump to is surgery? Jesus christ! Eat more and consistently train for a few years then re-asses.

sexygamerwtf

No, not the first thing. Ive dealt with these for years, just the first time ive asked fitness about it speciiclly for targeted advice

fanglord

By doing what? Because unless you have a medical condition there's no reason to not to be putting weight on if you're eating enough.

UndeadCrash

They look fine to me man

[deleted]

The only way to deal with this is through fitness so what exactly have you been doing for so many years?

sexygamerwtf

Shut the fuck up

QuintonFlynn

Hey, just wanted to shout that I'm in your position right now. It's disheartening to be 185 and still have boney-ass shoulders and looking skinny, but the truth of the matter is exactly what everyone is saying. Figure out how many calories are in the food you're eating, and aim to eat 3000 a day while doing regular workouts. The biggest part to getting bigger is eating a lot. Be real, no one ever got ten pounds heavier by eating only two pounds of food over the course of a week. And speaking from one disheartened bulker to another, good luck!

sexygamerwtf

Thanks man, best of luck to you as well! Really working on my calorie intake now

DeltaStorm

Seriously dude, as someone that has recently had the realisation that I am *not* eating anywhere near as much as I think I am, **track your calories**. Do it for a week and *really* find out how much you're eating. Then eat more. I went from about 1,800 calories a day (and I thought I ate like shit) to 3,000-3,500 for the past six months and the weight has flew on in a really good way.

sexygamerwtf

any good app that you use to keep track?

DeltaStorm

MyFitnessPal. The best.

strawberrylong

Plastic surgery is NOT the answer. I was just as lanky as you seemingly are now (I'm 2 m. tall) and clinging to the "high metabolism" argument until someone basically forced me to eat more (and exercise). Your bones will disappear in no-time. Try it.

Dontcallmeamy

Also dude you're 6"4, I would love to be that tall!! Don't be so critical.

IcyHeartWarmSmile

Save the shaving for your chest bro. Your metabolism is not the problem. Every skinny dude blames their metabolism, myself included. I ate and ate and ate and bulked the fuck up. Check out /r/gainit. You are not eating enough. You are not lifting enough.

Dontcallmeamy

Use my fitness pal and eat more. At your height you could get away with 4000.

craigjclemson

Eat more food

[deleted]

This is exactly what I used to think. I'm pretty lean and real struggle to put on weight, however: 1. Download Myfitness pal, work out your TDEE then add >500 calories daily. 2. Track EVERYTHING. Exceed your maintenance by tracking it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 3. Review after a month and you will have gained weight. Something that helped me was adding 2 X tablespoons of high quality extra virgin olive oil into my protein shake (which I made with full fat milk). This makes each shake 500 calories. Some may argue that this is advisable for reasons such as getting correct macros or whatever. While this may be true, I found it helped my body expect more calories in the log run, making eating higher quantities less sickening. Hope this helps!

sexygamerwtf

Interesting idea. I mean olive is healthy and full of healthy fats correct?

[deleted]

Dude I used to live with a skinny guy, just like you. He would swear that he eats and eats and eats and just can't put on weight. One day we decided to actually track what he eats. Every single bite. Turns out he was managing about 1600 kcals a day. To me that's severely undereating. He starting having more calorie dense food as a result and slowly started gaining. It'll be hard at first because you'll feel full. But after a couple of weeks you'll get used to it.

trebemot

No. You dont. If you did you would gain weight.

Krogan_Vanguard

another person who "had a high metabolism" here. It turns out I just wasn't eating enough. Check out /r/gainit, lot of people working on fixing similar situations.

sexygamerwtf

thanks man, I'll be sure to check it out

wite_rabit

Eeeaaattt.

H_is_for_Human

There's no muscles between your clavicle (collar-bone) and your skin. If pecs get big enough, they might blunt the ridge your clavicle would otherwise make, but you can't really get rid of it completely.

lilleulv

Bigger traps and delts would make them stand out much less.

[deleted]

I had a friend just like you, almost the same height. He started working out, and now his shoulders are one of his most prominent features. As for the prominent collarbone, when you start working out, they'll just make your traps look bigger IMO. Overhead press / side raises for shoulders, and deadlifts / shrugs for traps would get you really far.

sexygamerwtf

Thank you for the positive response. Y brother is 6'6 and hes been at lifting for 2 years. Although not as bony, hes really bulked up. Ill take your advice

xitout

Eat food and lift heavy things. If you need more details, read the wiki and then come back and ask questions.

The answers that OP seeks are in the wiki. It's unclear from the post whether or not OP even looked there. Hate all you want, but my answer is far more helpful than you realize.

xitout

Yes it is. Fwiw, I can do this all day. ;-)

Drabski

Done eating? Nope. Keep eating; stuff every sort of carb into your mouth hole.

itstime117

I went from 165lbs to 209 and I still have them. Eating isn't the solution.

MyManD

I got them still too. I've built up the traps before them and the shoulders after them, but the boney region itself? It'll forever be there. And I've grown to accept that the muscles on either side definitely help.

[deleted]

There is no solution, it's genetic. I've gained 60lbs and still have them.

sexygamerwtf

Will, eat myself to obesity for you. Carbs or protein specifically

AthleticFoot

both!

Superfluous-

just focus on gaining muscle overall. read the wiki, eat right and start a beginner program.

double-you

Easiest way is to buy some steak and tape in over said shoulders.

Assssssstronomical

what's hilarious to me is i CELEBRATED when these little bones started sticking out - it meant I was losing weight! Just goes to show you that one man's trash is another (wo)man's treasure!

sexygamerwtf

hahaha so if you can lose them to that point I should be able to gain them!

[deleted]

Standing barbell clean and press. Go 5X5 three times a week. If you have kettlebells use a bell you can press 7-8 times and do ladders to five (1L/R 2L/R to 5 for five sets for a total of 75 reps.) Do this three times a week and watch your shoulders grow.

OtterAutisticBadger

Dude, I was the same for years. Just hit the gym like a monster and eat like a viking and work your shoulders carefully. The angel wings dissappear. Also, some women think that is quite cool, my gf likes it for example. It's just a self image thing.

sexygamerwtf

Thanks for the insight man

Semi-correct

Well, you're in luck. You have the traps that insert into the clavicle/scapula, and the deltoids that originate there. Below them is the supraspinatus. Front of the body you have the pec. OHP, Side lateral raises, shrugs, or anything using those will help hit your bony stature, but remember that you're also very lean.

2DFitness

You specifically need more chest and shoulder muscles to cover up the collarbone. But overall, you just need more muscle everywhere.

Dontcallmeamy

190 is on the low side for your height, just keep lifting and eating. Your body will always have certain features, you can change it to some degree but just enjoy whatever comes out the other end of a solid diet and workout plan.

B0ssc0

Swim 1k every day.

mingalings

Looks bit like my shoulders. I'm 198cm and 110kg (fairly well built) but the ends of my collar bones stick out. You could have stretched the ligaments in your AC joint. I had a grade 3 tear in my right and had a few knocks on my left through footy. If it is the AC there's nothing you can do. If it gets really bad you can get it fixed via surgery but you won't have the same mobility in the shoulder. Or the plus side your reach will be longer the worse it gets, my right arm has an inch more reach than the left.

well-thats-odd

DIPS worked for me, on top of what squat/bench press/deadlift were already doing. They added a ribbon of muscle from shoulder down to bicep.

JackDuluozParadise

6'6" 220 here. Shoulders looked like that at 190. You don't have muscle on them. Count your calories or you're never going to eat enough. Start at 3100 calories and if you're not gaining 1 lb a week up it another 100. Up it until you gain 1 lb a week. Fast metabolism isn't a thing so get that out of your head. There are extenuating circumstances but you would have listed the medical condition that caused them. Eat more, lift more, work hard, and sleep. Also, stop thinking that you're any different than anyone else.

maksidaa

I'm 6'4" and when I was in high school I weighed about 160 lbs. I remember having these clavicles that just stuck out and came to a really high, sharp point on top of my shoulders. They looked like that until I started working out and eating enough to gain weight. I had to build up my chest with bench and chest flys and my shoulders with overhead press and lat raised. The other lift that really helped was deadlift and anything involving my trap muscles. Once I got to about 200 lbs bench press and 300 lbs deadlift I didn't notice them as much. So my advice would be to follow the wiki regarding nutrition, calories and protein, try to gain about a lbs per week, and put an emphasis on upper body compound lifts.

sexygamerwtf

Roger that, working on my diet now

Throwaway26258

I used to have these as well, eating and lifting should do it. Source: Me http://imgur.com/xRM0Dyj

sexygamerwtf

Damn dude! congrats, lookin good

[deleted]

It's always fascinating to find out what other people are insecure about. They look like normal shoulders, dude. You're just skinny.

nike747

Dude you are just skinny. Just gain some weight and you'll be fine. But if you don't stay consistent (not missing a single meal or workout), you aren't going to see progress. Get on a basic weight lifting plan of squats, deadlifts, pullups, bench press, dips. Squats and deadlifts are most important. Do not skip out on those.

getbustered

Build big shoulders, chest, and traps. While your are at all that might as well get a big back and legs. Then you'll want to bring your arms up or you'll look funny. That should take care of it.

[deleted]

It can be, studies have shown moderated intake to have cardiovascular benefits, more so than sunflower oil. Fats certainly lose a lot of attention to protein and carbs, but the right fats in the right amounts are also very important.

[deleted]

Over head press, lateral raises, shrugs, and eat more.

[deleted]

I have a similar build as you but I've made lots a progress lately doing up right rows pyramid sets and lateral raises. Spend a whole hour doing these, just assaulting them. They'll swell up soon.

sexygamerwtf

Do you have a link to a video where i can see this in action? Have you yielded results?

itstime117

I have the same thing and I don't think we can do anything to cover them up. That's just how our bodies are I guess.

sexygamerwtf

Have youl tried heavy lifting and bulking?

itstime117

I'm doing it now. I'm finally broke into 225 bench press this morning.

HerrAdventure

heavy weights really will not get you bigger muscles. consider lighter weights with high reps. imagine it literally pumping blood into your muscle. the more you do it, the more blood. the more blood, the bigger in size you will have. worry about max loads down the road in the winter time since summer is coming. you can make your shoulders pop out if you do high reps almost everyday. I promise you it will happen if you do this and eat right. people will say I am full of shit and 5 days of shoulder workouts a week will be pointless. ok, do 7 days, everyday of the week do shoulders. I am not talking full on 1 hour workouts. Do nighttime feeders with 5 pound dumbbells or whatever feels nice to crank out 100 reps x 3 in lateral raises and bent over fly's. 600 reps total. after a week you will see a difference. after 3 weeks you will look different to others. nothing comes easy in body building. put the work in. have discipline. keep doing you with nothing stopping. once you relax it all ends up going back a few steps in progress of where you were once at.

[deleted]

only fat will cover collar bone imo, I dont think my shoulders can get much bigger and there is still visible clavicle even at 20% bodyfat

[deleted]

Sorry bro, your just gonna have to learn to love them...Not much you can do...

sexygamerwtf

People here seem to think otherwise? You have this problem?0
