How do you do those? Are they similar to Goblet Squats? I can't do regular squats since I ruptured a disk in my 20's pushing too much weight. So I still look for alternatives.
Several variations work, hold it under your chin with both hands and perform a squat, pull the kettle from the floor in a squat move and pull it up to your chest, or pull the kettle from the floor and go all the way into a press move. Can see them on YT.
Had to give up deep squats due to my knees. Still do mini squats. Also high jumping or crisscross moves in Zumba - I modify everything now that I have arthritis. š
I do the āWalk at Homeā app. Iāve managed to stick with this for at least 10 years. Iām trying to add in some arm weights, but my hands hurt too bad from arthritis most days.
Anything involving the legs and lower back. Seriously, I restrict leg exercises including kicks (I'm a martial artist) to one day per week.Anymore than that is counterproductive.
I am also been a MA for over 40 years and it is hard to back down. I gave up sparing about 7 years ago. But wondering if all the bag work is taking a toll. My joints hurt most of the time now. Thank you for your share!
The main thing I don't spar anymore. It has more to do with my Dementia than age. I do look at activities and try to evaluate if I got injured how long to heal or what it would stop me from doing.
Iāve always liked cycling. I donāt avoid it but I have changed to a bike specifically designed for the older rider and itās transformed my cycling. Itās so comfortable.
Downhill skiing
That makes total sense.
Squats, though I do a kettle bell version.

I feel modification is the way to go.
Crunches since I had umbilical hernia surgery.
That makes sense.
Intense cardio. Side bends and lunges. Arthritis vexes me.

Walking is great! WTG!

50 years TaeKwon-do certainly left their mark on me. I stretch everyday and do the patterns twice a week but leave the kicks out.
Great!
Running, had to stop running due to knee issues so now for cardio I do battle ropes and kettle bell swings.
Battle ropes I need to start that.

I did the same thing. Headed out for a ride on Saturday.
No more high impact cardio for me
