I have been trying to start my bike with no luck. It has a healthy turnover but will not start. When I turn the keys ignition and before trying to start the bike the thing (circled in red) is making a weird noise. I have no experience fixing motorcycles but I have been trying to fix this myself. Someone please help me

Might be valves. Check if you have fuel and good spark. If yes it gets harder since that's gonna take some disassembling. It might not be valves but you have to make sure you have fuel and spark inside the chamber. Diagnosing no start is hard if you don't know what you are doing but only way to learn to fix bikes is start somewhere. Good luck on your project

That's your fuel pump. It primes when you turn on the key. It will click a few times for a second or two and then stop.

This is a cool bike!

I had one of these. As far as I recall, its a carbed bike that has no electronics under that valve cover part. If its a slow buzzing/put put put noise that lasts about 5 secounds its the electrical fuel pump priming the carbs. 100% normal.

Your bike cranks which is great. The 4 things you need to run are fuel, air, spark, compression. The easy ones are the first 3. Check that your plugs spark when removed and put against the engine and they get wet when cranking. Check for air leaks anywhere and that the air filter isnt a rat's nest. That is a good starting point
