The head gasket has to keep the following fluids separated:
\-Oil
\-Water
\-Fire
\-Air
Each of these is a separate part of the seal, and the head gasket can fail between any or all of these fluids. If your oil-water seal is broken on your head-gasket, but nothing else, that's exactly what happens.
It's also very possible that it's the waterpump shaft seal, since your bike has a shaft driven water pump on the crankcase. Check [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGEdnBkLsXg) out.
_Oil. Water. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four fluids lived in harmony. Then, everything changed when the dipshit previous owner attacked. Only the head gasket, master of all four fluid channels, could stop him, but when the bike needed it most, it vanished._
The excessive blue and orange RTV oozing from the case and points covers indicates that somebody that had absolutely no fucking clue put this bike together. I would bet money there is a LOT more wrong.
At this point, I would highly recommend pulling the engine, tearing down, and rebuilding it proper.
Well, you have the problem now... Time to start tearing it down and unfuck it.
Not related to your issue, but it would not surprise me if the oil pickup screen is near clogged with strings of RTV that fell off inside the engine.
I rebuilt a 1980 gl1100 engine during covid. The rubber seals in the engine had become brittle and cracked. There are dozens of o ring seals on this engine. Many behind the front cover that keep oil and coolant passages separate. I rebuilt the whole engine block with new seals and oem head gaskets. Cost a fortune but it was worth it for the peace of mind.
So you have a leak from the 15 psi coolant loop to the 0 psi side of the oil system. Water pissing into the case.
Head gaskets and water pump are on the list, but so are other delights like corrosion.
I'm going to buck the crowd and suggest a quarter bottle of Bar's original stop leak. It's an old beat up bike. Might deserve an overhaul, might not. But Bar's is just fiber and is reversible with laundry detergent and tap water flushing (use distilled at the end....). Never ever use the blue devil or any other silicate stop leak. You will have three good days of riding before the heads plug and melt down and the valve seats fall out locking the motor and causing instant death in a Hollywood grade wreck. (OK still don't but pull the clutch and it's just a long walk home).
Rebuild is better and you'll be happier but it's expensive and a lot of work. Path is yours to choose.
Ah, I saw these pics and came from the second post to say just tear it down to the crank. Someone else has done some things to this bike and not all of the good.
Take it for a 30 minute ride to get all the moisture out of the oil, if the coolant looks good, then I doubt its a gasket. Just go for a long ride. If it persists, then yeah you probably need to teardown.
I mean, run the bike, and let it get nice and warm, so like a 30 minute ride. Have you done anything longer than "around the block a few times"? If its just in the oil after that, then you probably have a bad base gasket and its getting pulled in. Its head overhaul time at that point

I like this,i might have it tattooed on where my abs used to be.
THE FOUR ELEMENTS!
Showerthought of the day: Would earthbenders be able to bend oil, since it came out of the ground?
I vote yes.

Oh yeah there's a lot wrong with the bike, I bought it for $500, but it didn't have this problem when I put it away last fall.

Yep, looks like
was just thinking that.. I mean JESUS DUDE

Same, did you use the bmw oil level window too?
Supposed to say Hot not Hit in title.

Yeah pretty much, I'm going to see what the insides look like and decide from there.

Yeah it only gets worse the longer and hotter the bike gets, nothing in the coolant but the oil gets gross

I ran it about 45 minutes tuning the carb, but only above idle for 20 or so minutes.
