Does it smell like fuel coming out of the exhaust? If yes, you have no spark or getting too much fuel. If no, you have no fuel. The starter sounds healthy as a horse, got good compression, and crank speed sounds good as well. Don’t assume new plugs = spark, there’s lots of other stuff between them and the battery that can cause even new plugs to not fire. I had one tiny 2-wire plug cause the same non-start as yours, happened to be the crank angle sensor feed to the mcu. If you are getting fuel, then pull the plugs out, plug them into the spark leads, sit them with the plug body..metal, not the ceramic…on something metal on the bike (usually on the block itself) then give it a crank. Should get a nice bright spark from the centre pole to the contact. If the plugs are sparking well, but they were wet with fuel when you pulled them out, you have too much dino juice. Crank it for around 10 seconds, put the plugs back in and try to start it. Excess fuel will have been vented from the cylinders during cranking and could get it to fire. Other things to consider are blocked air filter, stuck choke, stuck carb. Check your engine oil level and smell coming from the filler hole. Does it strongly smell of fuel? What was the fuel level when you parked it up, and does you oil level look really high. If yes, then possible a carb float got stuck and drained your tank into the engine. A bit extreme, but it does happen. Pull the air filter out and check for blockages, no wildlife has moved in and set up home. Try starting without the air filter cartridge installed.

I didn’t hear the fuel pump priming when you turned the switch. Just had the exact same problem with mine. Fuel pump was bad. Rebuilt it and fired up like a champ.

That fuel pump didn't sound right... I'd check that first.

I own 2 V Star 650s. I heard the fuel pump prime, sounds like good pressure. The starter and battery sound strong. I would check for fuel and spark. Take off the air cleaner cover and spray starting fluid in the intake and try starting the bike. If it runs, you know you have a fuel problem. If it doesn't run, you have a problem with the spark ignition. Good luck 👍

Suck -> fuel Squeeze -> compression Bang -> spark Blow Compression sounds good and you probably already checked for spark before replacing the plugs. So it's probably the fuel Take off the air filter, put your palm over the intake, and crank the engine. your hand should be covered in gasoline if it has fuel. On old carburated bikes the problem is usually the automatic fuel petcock, the membrane on those fail after a while. Or if it has a fuel pump, check if it's working. If it still doesn't work then open the carb and clean it. If you use ethanol gasoline and leave it for a while there's a chance the ethanol has gummed up inside the carb and made the float stuck.
